    Finished Basements Plus Inc.
I had 3 quotes for the job and although Finished Basements Plus wasnt the least expensive quote I chose them based on the fact they have done 6 homes in my 52 house development. I have Brian come out to bid the Job and his knowledge of the business and concerns for my complete satisfaction won them the job. He is a honest man and truely cares about his clients. My basement had a bedroom, playroom, full bath w walk in closet, half bath kitchen, living area, pool table area, and complete bar.

    Norm Troyer Builders
It went very well. The new doors were built in two days, taken to the painter's and returned and hung. I have used Norm Troyer Builders for many projects on my property including: new flooring, a whole new kitchen, remodeling the dining room, replacing the back wall of the house, repairing the shop, and more. I have always had a good experience dealing with Norm. He listens to my ideas and works to do what I want done.

    Brian Miller Custom Remodeling
They really did a great job from start to finish.  His team showed up on time every day and worked hard and completed a beautiful job on time and in budget.  I would highly recommend BMCR to anyone considering a kitchen or bath remodel or tile job.  The radiant floor they installed is amazing in the winter time, we got a lot of value and a really great looking finished project.  Couldn't be happier.

    Finished Basements Plus Inc.
Todd and his crew were excellent!  We interviewed several contractors and decided to use Finished Basements Plus based on their standard materials used on their projects and how easy they were to work with.  From the very first meeting with Bryan, sales and contracts, it was obvious that they had a lot of experience and came with a lot of ideas for our space.  We signed a contract with them in early January with a start date of January 26th.  They started on time with an estimated 5 weeks to complete the project.  Since we have built houses before we knew there would be delays that could not be foreseen and we were able to "roll with it".  Total construction time was 8 weeks with some delays due to weather (heavy snow and ice several times during the project), drywall hanging and finishing took a little longer due to the size of the space, and a lot of detail finish work which was 1000% worth it!
Todd has a great crew that worked in our house for almost 6 weeks getting the steel stud framing ready, the wiring for all the electrical, cutting the floor and moving the pipes for our bathroom, insulating, and then painting and finish work.  Mark, the crew lead, was very friendly and great to ask for feedback on ideas while we were designing and framing.  They arrived early each morning and worked until at least 5 PM every day.  Each day they cleaned the basement before they left which was very nice.  It helped keep our focus on the progress being made and not the clutter.
The drywall was sub-contracted out but Todd coordinated the times and the subs so we knew what was going on at all times.  I will mention that one of the reasons we chose Finished Basements Plus was they were the only contractor to use steel stud framing and moisture resistant drywall throughout the entire basement for their job.  Todd also has a carpet team he works with.  There is a standard set of carpet that comes with the package but we chose to upgrade for a small amount more since we liked the color/style of one of the other options.  Granite counters were also subbed out to a local fabricator.  We had a couple issues with the fabricator not getting certain cuts and holes for the faucet correct.  Todd took care of all of this for us and got all of it fixed the same week even having the fabricator create a new counter top when the first one was drilled incorrectly.  Todd also coordinated all of the permits with our county and the inspectors for sign off.
One of the things we have learned with building houses is you have to stay engaged on the project at all times.  Todd was excellent at communicating when he and his team or subs were going to be there and what was going to be worked on.  I appreciated the great communication as it took a lot of potential frustration out of the project.  I always knew what was going on which was nice.  As with the carpet, we decided to upgrade the tile, the lighting, and some other small details.  Todd let us pick out the lighting we wanted for the kitchen, bathroom, and theater.  He also went with us to the tile store to pick out the Travertine tile and the granite for the counter-tops.  We paid the overages from the base package we initially agreed to which was fine.
We are VERY happy with the finished product.  Todd and Bryan said at the very beginning they would make the basement feel like an extension of the upstairs and they did.  I would recommend Finished Basements Plus to anyone looking to have their basement finished.  Todd was one of the best contractors we have worked with on projects of this size.  Thank you Todd!

Installer came when scheduled to measure pantry closets a second time before ordered shelving units. Called us when units arrived and scheduled a date for install. Installers arrived on time and completed work in timely manner. Installers were also friendly, neat, and professional.

We had previously worked with Mark Troyer on our bathroom remodels and were very pleased with the process and the results.  Mark shared some ideas that he had for the kitchen and we started seriously considering a complete remodel rather than trying to resurrect the old cabinets.  We could not be more thrilled with the results!  The kitchen now is more functional than I could have imagined and the quality of the cabinetry is superior to anything we'd ever seen.
The process was very orderly, we knew what to expect each week and Mark was always available if we had questions or concerns. We made some minor modifications as we went along that slowed the process down a bit but Mark did everything possible to keep the project moving along.  Every day the job site was cleaned up so that we could still semi function in it.
We can't say enough about Mark's integrity and the quality of his work.  We highly recommend him if you're considering any time of home remodeling.

    Kuhns Contracting Inc
The job was quoted, revised and excepted within a week. We reviewed the requirements with subcontractors, work started reasonably quickly and within our schedule. They were very accommodating in that regard. While the floors were being installed we picked hardware and counter tops and the rest went without a hitch. Fairly straight forward.
I waited a while to write the review knowing that we were excited to get the work done and enjoy the refreshed rooms. I thought I would be able to write a more objective and helpful review once I started to see everything function. Still not disappointed. I think everything came out just the way we wanted and I still have no issues with anything they delivered.
Overall, Excellent to work with and we are very appreciative for finding Kuhns Contracting and looking forward to our next project with their support.

Overall everything went as requested and planned. The cabinets turned out better than we expected. Mark and his cabinet maker were able to make our cabinets the way we requested. Including a pantry unit built from a picture from the Internet.

His sub contractors were very professional in keeping the work area clean and accomodating to work around our schedules.

The quality of the workmanship and the details of the trim and wood work were excellent. They even came up with a clever way to keep an existing window which was not designed at the usual sink height.

Were very pleased with the work that Brian did in our home. We learned of him from a friend and on Angies List. He came out, answered our questions and provided a fair and reasonable estimate. Hekept us in the loop as he completed other jobs and set a date for completing our remodeling. He arrived when he said each day and cleaned up before he left.
Brian replaced an old outside door including adding a new threshold, jam and trim, a gas water heater for an old 28 years - electric
one, a split outside water faucet, some old can lights, an attic exhaust fan and installed several roof vents and insulated runs for bathroom exhaust fansand the gas water heater. He even replaced a leaking toilet flush valve seat he discovered and installed a CO detector. We have had lotsof remodeling done to this house in the past kitchen, floors, exterior siding, roof, etc. but none of the contractors weve hired was as meticulous and thorough and reasonable as Brian. He reminds us of Mike Holmeson HGTV. We look forward to hiring him again in the future.

We met with Mark to review the project details, considered his suggestions and modified our project to incorporate many of them.  After reviewing the final bid with Mark he outlined what the expected timeline would be and we began selecting materials.  Mark was terrific about letting us know what to expect and when it would happen.
We remodeled the half and guest baths first, and that part of the project was completed in about 3 weeks.  The work included new marble floors, granite countertops, fixtures, sinks, toilets and lighting. Once we were fully functional in those bathrooms he started the master bath.  We gave him our ideas for the new vanity and his cabinet maker did a beautiful job of transforming it to a reality.  The master bath took about 7 weeks to complete; the room was gutted to the walls so everything including the glass block window was new.   The master bath went from being a dated, somewhat crowded room to a beautiful and very functional bathroom.
Mark's team was always careful to clean up each day, and keep the dust down to a minimum.  The very few deficiencies that we found along the way were immediately addressed, to our satisfaction.
We were thrilled with the work, and it was a pleasure working with Mark and his team.  We would definitely recommend him for any remodeling project.
