    Central Ohio Appliance Repair
Keeping in mind all appliance repair is costly I just had Central Ohio Appliance Repair fix my stove. I was 99.9% sure it was the igniter but even using youtube I could not figure it out. I called at 8 this morning (Monday). They were here by noon and even called 20 minutes before arriving. Cost was $320.00. Markup on the part vs. Amazon was 50%. Service call $80 (seems to be the norm). And a charge of $65 for about 1.5 hours. Jacob was nice, clean, and really knew what he was doing.

Excellent experience. Repaired only what was broken, gave me usage advice on maintaining my washer. He was able to come check the machine and do the repair the day after I called. Great services and customer relations. Reasonable and good price to repair the washer.

Solution appears to have corrected problem. No longer need to remove crisper to clean up excess water and ice that formed below crisper. The only suggestion is when the technician needed to get part to come out next day if told wife that refrigerator needed to be emptied refrigerator shelves before he could install the new piece the work would have gone much faster.

    ACS repairs
I had an insurance policy for my appliances. The initial repairman did not take care of my repairs completely. ACS repairs was then assigned to my case. He asked what had happened and what did not work appropriately. He called and asked for details of model and other identifying information. Then told me he wanted to do some research on the described problem and part needed. In a few days, he called me back and stated that the part to repair the oven was not available any more and would be recommending that the insurance company provide me a new oven. I appreciated his honesty and the time he took to research and resolve the oven problem that the other repairman could not do.

Dryer works great now. It took 2 visits for the definitive fix, but I really appreciate that the technician left a temporary fix in place on the 1st visit so we could still keep using the dryer while the part we needed arrived. He was professional, punctual, and effective.

It went well, the only issue I had was that I had a coupon but because I didn't have a printer and couldn't print the coupon out from Angie's List, then I couldn't use it. That was my only issue. Not everyone has a printer.

I called and made the appointment. The time frame for them to come out was morning to early afternoon. I received a call around 2:30pm. My daughter and I were out when I received a call. The man I talked to was not too happy that I was not home. I told him I would be home at 3:00pm and he said that he would send a technician out. The technician never came. I called back two hours later and he told me a bold-faced lie: that his technician had called me and that he had called me and couldn't get a hold of me. I never received a call from him or his technician after I talked to him at 2:30pm. I recommend never doing business with this company. This was just bad. I am a stay-at-home-mother and this company does not understand that stay-at-home-mothers don't just sit at home all day. I have a responsibility first and foremost to my daughter.

I was charged $100 for 10 minutes to install a part. That calculates to $600 an hour. Wow! The quality of personnel was excellent. I was initially charged $80 for an initial diagnosis. A $200 part was ordered. Both of those costs seemed reasonable. The third charge for an additional $100 to take 10 minutes to install the part seemed excessive to me. I called the company and requested a $50 discount. The owner was firm on the full $100 charge. There may be other companies in the area that offer similar quality repair service for a more reasonable price.

They showed up at the end of the window of time. that's not the issue but then they came and said they are doing routine service but we need the dry door fixed. The gentleman said he doesn't do that you will need to reschedule the visit. when we called back and spoke to the lady again she said no she didn't put it in wrong the service man read it wrong. that it wasn't her fault. no apology or concerns that we will waste 8 hours of our time waiting on them.

Repair person was fine and did a good job. Problems were scheduling and follow-up. They give you an 8-5 window -- not very practical for most people. While you can get a 2 hour window on the day of service, it changed through the course of the day, so I eventually wound up at the very end of the day. Then there were 2 screws left under the treadmill which I discovered after the tech was gone. Didn't know if they were necessary or replaced or whatever. Although I called the Sears repair line there was apparently no way I could speak with the tech who was here or have him call me to ask him about the screws. Frustrating, but machine seems ok, and not many sources for treadmill repairs.
