We started taking our Elizabeth, our 15.5 year-old pug, to Dr. Julie last summer.  At the time, Elizabeth was having troubles getting up, walking around, and was suffering a major limp with her front leg.  I was very skeptical of how effective the treatment would be and had decided if the treatment would not show improvement after 3 treatments we would seek other methods.  Elizabeth's initial exam went for 90 minutes and was very thorough.  She received acupuncture and cold laser therapy and Dr. Julie gave us several exercises to do with Elizabeth when home.  She showed slight improvements initially, but got much better after the 2nd or 3rd treatment.  Dr Julie prescribed Chinese herbs (Subtle Spine) and T-Relief for Elizabeth and she started to show great improvement. 3 weeks ago, Elizabeth's hips and legs froze up, she couldn't move, and started screaming for around 10 minutes straight.  We called Dr. Julie while this was happening (after office hours), she called back and told us to come in at 9am the next morning, which was before when they usually started seeing patients.  Dr Julie is very caring, listens to our concerns, and Elizabeth absolutely loves her!  I'm not saying that Elizabeth is acting like a pup again, but everyone who meets her is amazed at how great she looks, moves, and her spunky attitude.

I couldn't see how sticking a few needles in various parts of my body would help my severe facial pain, but I am now a full-blown believer in acupuncture for pain relief. I had 100% relief during all sessions I've had with Tracy. After only two treatments, I had 100% relief for several days. Tracy's demeanor and personality are very welcoming and down-to-earth. I highly recommend.

Because I was already in so much pain the first acupuncture treatment was a bit painful.  I didn't feel the affects of the treatment until a day or two later.  The change was dramatic!  I went from not being able to sleep, walk and stand to being able to at least walk and stand. The second treatment removed all the pain. I was also able to get some sleep during the night.  The third treatment completely healed me.  I would strongly recommend Dr. Huang because she is the real deal.

They provided some relief to our cat in his last days about 5 years ago since he had lot of problems with arthritis. I have an appointment for Monday to take another cat to them. They charged us about $75 a visit. We had a cat that was getting old and was about 15 or 16 years old. He had trouble with his back, legs and hips. He was limping and wasn’t able to jump up on the couch very well. We heard about this through our vet. So we thought of trying the acupuncture treatment. The acupuncturist explained what went on and showed us how the treatment worked. So we tried a couple of visits. A lot of people don’t believe in such a treatment, but my cat stopped limping. He was able to jump up on the couch and he felt comfortable. We noticed definite improvements in his abilities. It’s hard to measure pain in animals, but he seemed to be in less pain. He had better movements and was more comfortable in what he was doing. We have another cat that’s exhibiting the same kind of symptoms. It has some trouble moving and can’t clean himself very well on his hips. So we wanted to give a try with our current cat to see if it helps him this time too based on our earlier experience that we had with the doctor from Veterinary Alternatives. We were very impressed with that doctor. There are some people who still have hesitancy about acupuncture even though the Chinese have been doing it for thousands of years. Our experience has been very helpful. It helped my cat in easing his struggle with severe arthritis. It allowed him to spend his final days with less pain. We were very impressed with the doctor’s professionalism, the way she went about it and her empathy with our cat. That’s why we decided to try her again.

The very first visit I had with her was quite long. She said she doesn't usually take that long with a patient, but I had some medical issues going on. She was very thorough. She seemed to have a little hazard. She is a kind of forgetful sort of thing; but she is very good at what she does. She talked about she had to have an eye surgery or something because she has a problem now seeing the needles to get it back out of the patient. She is quiet, but she is really good at what she does. I always had a problem with one of my legs swelling something terrible and it stays down normal for 2 or 4 days without having to wear any special a different hose or column. What I have been following up doing, is actually called as community acupuncture, where one will go and choose several recliners. One would get it for quite a less money. I can do that and I have options there. I can tell her what's the worst thing that I am dealing with at that moment or for that week. I see her every two weeks now because I can't afford every weekend and go everyday to see her. There is no staff and it is only her. She is very friendly and open. It is like pay as you go that day.

After experiencing chronic pain for 7 years, I became desperate enough to try acupuncture (I am afraid of needles!). I had a very bad experience with acupuncture with another doctor, but Anastasia Christopher was very understanding and took time to put me at ease. I have been receiving treatments for two years now, and the acupuncture has greatly reduced the amount of pain medication I take. More importantly, my quality of life had improved dramatically. I used to spend most of my days on my couch, in too much pain to function. Now, I am able to live an (almost) normal life! Not everyone will have the same results, but I definitely recommend you give it a try if you have a chronic problem and nothing else has worked. Everyone in the practice is caring and helpful. I rarely have to wait for an appointment, and they work to make you as comfortable as possible.

Dr. Julies Serviates has treated four of my dogs over the past 3-4 years. She is kind and empathetic.  She sits down to talk to you and really listens.  All of my dogs love her.  The acupuncture provided a great deal of relief for my aging dogs.  One of my dogs competed in agility, and she actually came to watch him to see him run, and assess his movement. She did that at no charge. She treats a lot of dogs in my dog club. The office staff is fabulous.  Email reminders of appointments are sent.  I can't say enough about how pleased I was with service and how awesome Dr. Julie is.

I did everything except surgery, pain management, chiropractic services. I became almost in moveable just sitting on heating pad, sleeping in recliner because it hurts to move. I was on Mayo Clinic website to see what if anything other than surgery when accupuncture was a way with good success rate. So I went to Angie list's and found Dr.Huang she is a miracle worker .It took several sessions I call her a miracle worker seriously. I went from not moving for the pain to being able to do housework etc .I don't know how this all works I just know it does. Its not expensive not covered by insurance. The money I spent on stupid pain pills,dr's etc spent thousands here I spent around $300 so far no problems. The needles don't hurt barely a p**** the best thing I ever did. The best Dr.ever!!!!

    Malone, Dr. Kathleen A.
She is an emergency room physician, but she has her own chiropractic two days a week. She does medical acupuncture. She is very informative and she is very low key. She knows what she is doing, she is great in listening to you and she is really good at acupuncture. Actually, her acupuncture does not hurt. I do not like needles very much, but these are thinner than the thinnest needle that you have ever seen. It really does not hurt. I would absolutely continue to use her in the future.
