    Animal Hospital Of Shawnee Hills
It was a great experience. I was super nervous about leaving my dog and him going under anesthesia. But, the Veterinarians and Technicians are great and took the time to explain what is happening, what's going to happen and what to expect after the procedure and helped put my mind at ease. The entire staff is so friendly and caring at Animal Hospital of Shawnee Hills - they treat you and your pet like family! I drive an hour and half to see the Doctors and staff! I would 100% recommend AHSH for all of your pet's care.

    Ark Veterinary Hospital
Everything went really well! Both Dr. Hayes and Dr. Redman are excellent. We had Dr. Hayes for this particular visit. I called the office to make an appointment, and they managed to get us in on the very same day. The Ark has extended hours on some days, which makes it much easier to schedule an appointment. Dottie can sometimes be a little fearful when it comes to vet visits, but Dr. Hayes and his assistant handled her beautifully. Also, he really took the time to fully answer all of my questions. I originally started going to The Ark because it's close to wear I work. I continue to go there because of the excellent service and wonderful staff.

    Ashland Veterinary Clinic
I had just moved to town and needed to find a veterinarian to examine my cat who LOVES to eat clear, heavy-duty packing tape and now has acquired a taste for bubble wrap. Though I tried to keep him away from the tape and plastic, it was almost impossible during the packing and unpacking. When I noticed a large hunk of bubble wrap missing from a wrapped mirror, I knew I had to get him to a vet. He has already had extensive surgery to remove a blockage caused by electrical tape, ingested before I adopted him. I didn't want him (or my wallet!) to go through such major surgery again. He also has a potentially fatal heart problem, and I was curious to get her opinion about his future. The experience was absolutely wonderful! Dr. Yoakum and her assistant were very gentle and patient with my loudly complaining kitty. After a very careful exam, she recommended we take x-rays to see if anything looked abnormal. When she came back with the x-rays, she explained exactly what she saw in terms I could understand. The x-rays were large and clear and gave us both a good baseline for future visits. Although his heart is noticeably enlarged, she talked to me realistically about possible outcomes of his HCM. Ordering his prescription kibble is also very easy at this clinic, as they have an Internet site where each animal's special needs or conditions can be easily monitor by the animal's caretaker. I didn't fill out whether the cost was reasonable, because I have no way of knowing what is a reasonable charge for the exam and x-rays is. I do know that Dr. Yoakum took much more time with me than many vets have in the past, and I was very willing to pay for the valuable information she shared.

    Wayne County Humane Society Inc
The Society's website, with all of the adoptable pets' information and photos, was very helpful for getting my bearings before visiting. The atmosphere of the shelter is generally clean, bright, and well-maintained, and I didn't feel like it was depressing in the least (as I expected). The dogs seemed to be well cared for and healthy, and my vet reported no health problems or fleas with my dog after I took him home (he was treated with a number of vaccines and neutered already before I took him as well, so no shots were necessary at the vet). There is usually someone walking the dogs around outside, so they must get at least a little exercise, too. The staff, including the handlers, were very helpful in giving me information about the dog I picked. There was a pen for play so I could get to know him, and they let me fill out the paperwork a couple days early (apparently they can normally only hold an adoption for a day). The one caveat, I think, is that the breed information for dogs often seemed to be wrong. A lot of dogs were labeled "boxer mix," which I assume must be the go-to breed. Whereas my dog was labeled a coonhound/boxer online, he is actually a plott hound/lab mix (as a shelter handler and my vet both said).

    MAIRS' VETERINARY HOSPITAL
I have come to expect nothing but the best from the Doctors and staff at Mairs. Even during the hardest times they gave me the time I needed to say goodbye to my trusted friend.

    WAGS & WHISKERS GROOMING
While Sammy looks very different, he isn't suffering from the heat. The hair will grow back in nicely I'm sure, and he is a happy dog today. Deb was very kind and did a wonderful job. While we probably wont cut Sammy this short again, we will continue to use Deb and Wags and Whiskers for all our grooming needs.

    WAGS & WHISKERS GROOMING
Staff took time over the phone to estimate the cost and explain procedure. Staff was very caring and professional. They were running right on time. Actual price was even less than that quoted.

    Daisy Hill Animal Hospital
We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door by the assistant, who got the appointment started and answered any questions we had. Didn't have to wait very long for the Vet to come in and see us. (Maybe 10 minutes max) The Dr. preformed a very through exam and continued to answer questions/offer suggestions. Our dog was treated great and not scared to be there.
