    This is the second time I have called ACE Plumbing. They came out about 2 years ago to install a sink and faucets in the kitchen and bath as well as change out my old hot water heater. This time they replace toilet parts, replaced a tub spout and snaked a bathtub. They are prompt, professional, fast and they are very nice. Jason was able to fix a few existing things that I thought needed to be replaced and at no charge. I will definitely call them again in the future. I'm very happy with ACE Plumbing.

    This company had replaced my ice maker under warranty 2 previous times and it was very easy and timely. This time was different. It wasn't just the ice maker so they had to come out a few times to figure out the problem. I am in customer service and am very critical ( probably overly critical) of others when it comes to that. I didn't understand why it seemed so difficult to figure out and was upset because of it. What we as consumers need to understand is that these appliances are full of technology and there are a series of tests that have to be done to try and track the issue. Ace has no control over those tests. Whirlpool tells them what to do and they have to follow their process. James is the service tech that came to my house for past repairs and this repair. He is first rate 100% great guy. They even sent another tech out (Sam) to try and assist James with the issue. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable. They called Whirlpool and talked to engineers and got the problem fixed. I will never call another appliance repair company for anything. these guys are the best. And this is coming from a guy that is very hard to please. Thanks for putting up with me Ace!! I really appreciate it.

    I received a flyer from Bassett’s IGA, Port Clinton, OH advertising an onsite knife sharpening event 7/21/19. I did arrive about 15 minutes after the scheduled event time and didn’t expect him to take my knives, he was so kind and said as long as he had work he would be happy to take my knives to sharpen - awesome customer care. I was very impressed by Mr. Noon’s quality of sharpening, the time he spent chatting with me about some things, as well as being super friendly to me. I also liked that my knives were sharpened on site and it only took about 15 minutes! I was killing time grocery, having some pepper sauce samples and hardware shopping, so he texted me to let me know they were done. I was impressed at the speed and quality of his old school sharpening technique. I love to cook and sharp knives are essential. He advised me to return to his December Bassett’s event to have them sharpened as it should be done twice a year, I will definitely return for that event. I may also attend the August event to have my yard shears sharpened as a few other knives I have. I have been looking for somewhere a bit closer than an 45 minutes away west of Perrysburg and then a return drive to pick them up with another individual. Kudos to Bassett’s IGA for bringing events like this to their store, it brings customer’s like me to their store. I hope they continue to keep this event going for a very long time. I have told several cooking friends since that they need to check it out in August as it is well worth attending.

    Choice Home Warranty
    Technician was dispatched within 48 hours of filing claim through Choice Home Warranty. Technician assessed unit and found control board was failing. Advised unit be replaced as continued failures would cost more to repair than to replace. Choice advised me of the cash payment option for me to replace with a model of my choosing, and worked with me to ensure a fair price was paid for me to replace with a similar model. Choice Home Warranty has been very easy to work with and resolved my claim in a timely manner.

    Came the day after I called to give me an estimate. Six weeks later after giving them the go ahead, I was still waiting. I kept getting excuses that they were busy and that they were short of personnel. Every time I called I was told it would be next week. Finally Bill Murray (the owner) called. He said he wanted to come out the next day, Thursday, review the work to be done And do the job the next day on Friday. He showed up as promised (sans protective Covid mask) and spent all of two minutes asking what I wanted done??? As he got into his car to leave he said his men would be out the next day...or Monday. I left several messages both on Friday and Monday with people from the business. They told me Bill would call me back. No one ever showed up or even bothered to call me. Two weeks later, nothing. Is it too much to expect professional service these days? If you didn’t want the job, why not just tell me rather than wasting eight weeks of my time. One can only assume that their workmanship is no better than their customer service. I’m probably lucky.
