Hemmorhoids and a colonoscopy.  Everything went great. The doctor is a very personable man and a wonderful doctor.

    Jose Parodi MD,FACS
Dr. Parodi was wonderful. He determined I needed surgery and got me on the schedule asap. When I had some complications (not due to his work) he admitted me to the hospital right away and made sure I was well before I went home. His office staff were very nice and pleasurable to work with.

    Jose Parodi MD,FACS
I called the office on Monday morning and had an appointment that Friday. The office staff was very accommodating and pleasant. I had non wait time to be taken to an exam room. I waited 10 min in the exam room when Dr. Parodi came in and introduced himself apologized for the wait, asked for a just a few more minutes to finish up with his previous patent and would be right with me. Also offered me some water while I waited (WOW! you just don't see that kind of service anymore!) Only a few minutes longer Dr Parodi can in again with another apology and began my exam. Quickly moving me to his scheduler for surgery scheduling. Because of the pain I was in he rearranged his schedule to meet the hospitals schedule and performed surgery a few days later. He took the time to go over what to expect and how to handle everything and how to stay comfortable while awaiting surgery. He was prompt on operation day, came to see me in the pre op holding area introduced himself to my family there with me and met with them in post op for a decussion on how things went and how they could help me to a quick recovery.

    Mercy Memorial Hospital System
Mercy Memorial has greatly improved over the last ten to fifteen years. I have lived in Monroe pretty much all my life. It was not a hospital that we would consider going to for anything. Originally, the hospital was horrible. They were understaffed and the wait time was ridiculous. The doctors were not thorough. It was not someplace we would go in case of an emergency. However, over the last probably ten to fifteen years, they have improved vastly. They have remodeled the hospital, and they have got some fantastic doctors now. They see us pretty much immediately. They have been very good overall. The food is fantastic. My son thought that it was like a four-star hotel when he was visiting me; he loved it. For hospital food, it was actually great. They give us a menu and we have all kinds of choices. Then if we have visitors there, they can order a four-course meal for about $6. It's not bad at all. I was there for just over three days, because I was really in such bad shape with my gall bladder. The stay itself wasn't horrible. I was in surgery the very next morning after I got there. They got me stabilized. Dr. Charboneau was very good; I saw him afterwards. The nursing staff was fantastic; they were very friendly, very sympathetic and very caring. He was a really nice doctor and had good demeanor. He was very thorough with me. After my surgery, my husband dealt with him mostly because I don't remember much the first couple of days.

Oregon Surgical Group; Toledo Clinic Inc
Met with Dr. Manish Thusay on August 15, 2011.  He reviewed my HIDA Scan and Ultrasound results and recommended I have my gallbladder removed.  Scheduled Surgery for September 6, 2011, it was considered outpatient surgery, but I spent the night in the hospital.  Surgery went well, left the hospital with a drain.  Called the Dr's office on September 8, to make follow-up appointment and to have drain removed.  September 10, drain was leaking at the attachment area, called the Dr's office, they told me to come right over, the nurse cleared the drain and sent me home.  On September 14, had followup visit and drain removed.  Everything went good.  Oregon Surgical staff was very professional and very helpful.  During the surgery Dr. Thusay found a "tumor" on my liver, he scheduled followup testing to verify that it was benign and also a 6 month followup to make sure it was not growing.  I would feel comfortable using their services again.  For my followup appointment and initial office visit the wait in the office was an hour.

    Theodore Braun MD
His bedside manner is really bad. His nursing staff doesn't take anything seriously. They kind of push everything aside. It has not been a very positive experience.
