Siding reviews in Pataskala

Legacy Home Services we were initially happy with the work which was done a while back. We recently hired another company to do additional work and while they were working removing siding, they realized that the beam Matt had replaced was sized incorrectly and not actually being held in. To make matters worse, this beam acted as a support for a roof. After Matt had "finished" originally, I was surprised at how awful it looked, tried to call and got no reply. He also never came back. Upon further inspection, the additional work on other buildings that was performed is also sized incorrectly and / or falling down. As I mentioned above, the original thought was "'s a tough building it's fine." Now that we have realized that the half assed job was really a huge liability and presented a danger to anyone beneath it, we have a serious problem recommending Legacy to anyone looking to have a significant job done.

    Midwest Construction Services LLC
On 2/2/2016 we paid them 1/3 down that was supposed to be used as a down payment and to pay for the material and products that we were to select. After selecting our materials and products and finalizing the designs, we paid them another 1/3 on 4/18/2016 - the date they were to begin construction. The contract stated that the entire project would be completed in 10-12 weeks. As of today, 10/24/2016, the kitchen has yet to be completed. Nothing else has been done to the rest of the home. There are also a lot of problems with the work that has been done. Examples include electrical, plumbing, hvac, and appliance installation. There are electrical wires hanging from the ceiling; electrical switches and outlets dangling from the walls; some outlets and switches do not work and are not connected properly; there is an hvac connection to our upstairs bathroom that hasn't been hooked up; and some of the plumbing is not working properly. All of these things have been in this condition for over 6 months and nothing has been done to fix them. We don't had a kitchen sink, dishwasher, or workable/vented range hood. They haven't yet installed all of the kitchen cabinets and counter top. The counter top we selected in March was never purchased and we lost it, having to go through the intensive process of trying to find another one at the beginning of Sep. According to the granite supplier, Midwest were warned for 3 months that they were not going to hold the slabs any longer and received NO response from Midwest; so they were forced to sell them to someone else at the beginning of Aug. I didn't find out about this until the beginning of Sep and ONLY because I contacted the supplier directly. When I confronted Midwest about it, they actually threatened to file criminal charges against me over a lie that I threatened one of their employees lives (a complete falsehood and intimidation tactic). I was furious and couldn't believe someone in charge of their company would speak to me and threaten me like that. I immediately contacted an attorney, and was very close to filing a lawsuit, but I really didn't think going down that road was good for anyone. I decided to work with them and give them once last chance to get this right, so we went through the process of looking all over town for a week and finally found new granite, although it was more expensive than the original. Midwest actually admitted that it was their fault and agreed to pay for 1/3 of the cost difference. Although that mistake was still going to cost us a lot of extra money, I was hopeful that we could actually work together and FINALLY get this resolved - so we accepted and assumed work would actually begin a new within a week or so. Well, that wasn't to be, because here we are nearly 2 months now since that happened, and still NO work has been done and they are now ignoring my texts and phone calls. Entire homes have been built in the time we've been waiting for a kitchen. I have sent them emails and texts over and over again trying to get some idea of when this was to be completed, and have only received "you're on the schedule", and then no one shows up to do any work or they do very little. Since Feb, they have had someone at my house doing work, maybe 3 weeks total (considering a 2/3 man crew working 8 hours/day). I sent them an email last month telling them all these things, asking them to complete the job in a reasonable time frame, telling them we can't continue to live like this. We are a 7 person family living without a kitchen and our family room and bathroom is a wreck because they tore out tile flooring and large portions of drywall in these areas and have never fixed any of it. I don't think they will ever complete the work they have contracted to do for us. Enough is enough, I am filing this complaint and I am filing one with the BBB and the Ohio Attorney Generals office.

    Rising Height Unlimited
The repair looks phenomenal. We were very concerned about making this change simply because we did not think the blending of the old siding with the new siding would work (our existing siding is aluminum and is very old). The new siding where the previous A/C through wall unit was looks great. Additionally, the inside patch looks like nothing was ever there. Couldn't be any happier. The electric work was subcontracted out to a licensed electrician. The electrician, Dave, was super nice and was even able to save us some additional money while doing the job. I ranked Mike a "B" on the punctuality because he was late with no call for the job. I think now that we have his cell phone number, I don't foresee this ever being a problem again. I would definitely use Mike again and I intend too.

    Arrow Roofing & Siding
The project manager determined what needed to be done . He even got on the roof and fixed it temporary until he could get some one here to fix the problem. The Arrow staff went above and beyond helping me with my siding issues.

    Elite Home Remodeling Inc
Elite was/is great to work with. They did provide some excellent design ideas, which we did appreciate and utilize. A couple weeks later, we decided to increase the size of the room and they easily accommodated that request. After all paper work was approved and accepted they started work on time.
Elite did some similar work on a neighbor?s home last year. They spoke very highly of the entire Elite Team and we were able to to see first hand the high quality of Elite?s work before we contracted with them.
Elite excavated for ten (10) support piers, poured the concrete, and framed the entire structure in just a few days. They did a very good job matching the existing three year old shingles and did a great job of interfacing with the existing roof and gutters. They were able to obtain the same siding (manufacturer, model, and color) as our existing siding. This was quite an impressive feat, since our home was built 13 years ago. The horizontal lines between the existing and new siding meshes (lines up) perfectly. They took a very conscious effort to be positive these lined up perfectly.  Since they meet at 90 degree angles, no one can tell the 13 year difference.  I was able to complete necessary electrical rough in and insulation while they completed the roof and started on the exterior vinyl siding work.
As I noted, the "special" windows all had to be special ordered. Eight (8) of them are an extremely strong type of vinyl and look very nice, not to mention very large. The remaining 2 are higher up in the vaulted area and are 1/4" tempered glass in a unique trapezoidal shape. They made sure to incorporate proper moisture/water intrusion prevention membranes and sealants during this phase of construction, as they did elsewhere. The door is double paned glass with a mini blind contained between the panes of glass, and the operating mechanism is very easy to operate.
The interior walls and ceiling were completed with a top grade of bead-board (wains-coating), the quality of it is excellent and quite attractive. Outside, we had some ?unique? eave and overhang design requests which Elite satisfied in an awesome manner, actually better than we expected. The room interfaces perfectly with our home and we have had many very positive comments from neighbors, family (of course), friends and actually several from some of the golfers.
Elite performed a clean up of the site periodically through each day (for safety), and at the end of every work day. All local inspections went off smoothly and during the final inspection, the Inspector told me they were familiar with the high quality of work that Elite Home Remodeling (614-785-6700) does an their projects.
I wholeheartedly endorse Elite Home Remodeling and would hire them for my next project in a second.

    Superior Home Improvement
After rain and snow, started getting leak around skylight and near gutter. Mark was very prompt in calling and scheduling the job. He is very professional and knowledgeable about anything and everything outside your house. He completed the tasks. Great communications.  We talked about the issues going on with my roof. He explained, lack of roof pitch to allow rain, and melted snow to go away from the skylight. He made some great recommendations on what needs to happen next. I'm thankful to know that I do not need a new roof. I will definitely use him in the future. I highly recommend the company!!

We Can Do That Handyman Services
They didn't try to hide anything. They told me the cost upfront and when they said they were going to do the work, they did the work. I wasn't around when they did the work but my wife was and she was happy with them because they didn't show any unprofessionalism.

    Abode Home Maintenance
I found this company through an Angie's list coupon ad for three hours free labor to repair rotting trim wood which I had.  I contacted Mary Ann in the office who was a pleasure to deal with... After I sent her a photo via email of the area's I wanted looked at, she set an appointment up for me with Alex.  Alex was promptly on time and covered all work to be performed in detail including to price right on the spot!
The following Monday, Harry and his crew arrived in the morning, as scheduled, and got to work on power washing my whole house which now looks like it did when it was brand new!  The following day he showed up bright and early and replaced all the old trim wood, with new, on my three roof dormers.  He painted all the new trim to match the rest of my house and fabricated new flashing that will direct water flow away from the wood.  Finally, he fabricated a new flashing piece that had gone missing after a storm blew it away.
I couldn't be more pleased the workmanship and value I got in completing this project with Deluxe Home Maintinance!
