    When we started shopping for sofas, I explained to each and every sales person that I had been sick and on the sofa for 3 months. In fact, I had been on the sofa twice for 3 months. Comfort was number one priority. My sales lady at Haverty's assured me the Payton set was top of the line. Even when she called me on Sunday night while I was in bed....just to see if we decided to buy the set...she continued to sell the comfort level. For the record, she was not returning a call and I was not happy that she would call me on a Sunday, especially after 8pm. After about 3 months we thought the padding was failing and after 6 months, we KNEW we were sitting on little more than a wood bench. There are spots in the arms, back, and leg rest that feel like wood wrapped in padding. The repair man came out and agreed about the stuffing and since he didn't have stuffing on his truck, he came back about 2 weeks later and restuffed the backs. He did not know how to fix the arms and the leg rest were not addressed at all. Really nice guy, but these sofas are pathetic and I doubt anyone could fix them. We purchased this set over a set at Coconis furniture based on the reviews that Haverty's shows on their website. When I tried to post a review I found that you have to submit that to customer service. So what looks like a review directly from the customer, is actually an edited or approved review that Haverty's has approved before putting on their website as from a customer. I could be wrong but this looks and sounds like fraud. I've called again for service. This time I spoke with Annette who was very professionally RUDE in basically blaming my terrible sofas on me because I am not available ALL day the following Friday. However, I was available in the afternoon which she would not schedule me for. After so much of Annette's attitude and hassle I asked for a supervisor. I was then connected to Sharidon at extension 80233. Sharidon was much nicer and much more feeling about the problem but the end result is the same. Another service appointment. Stay tuned and I will let you know how it goes.

    Miller's Furniture - Amish Wood Shop
    This entire experience has been very positive. As small business owner we understand the importance of great customer service and so does Miller's Furniture. We stopped in during a busy time in their store but was still greeted in a timely and friendly manner. Our sales person was actually the daughter of the owner; very knowledgeable and professional. Once we decided to have a piece custom made Luceita was also very helpful in arriving at the final design, Dropped of f a sample drawer pull and actually spoke with Mr. Miller, although I did not know it at the time. We had a time frame shorter than what they normally need for a custom piece. Working with their furniture maker they were able to meet our deadline. Delivery folks were great. Neatly dressed, professional, and courteous. From start to finish this was an excellent experience. Price was more than what we had planned because we went with a custom made piece. Their quote did not vary and we are now enjoying a a beautiful quality build piece of furniture. I would hope all businesses valued customer service as much as we and Miller's do!

    Comfy Couch Co.
    Comfy Couch Company contacted us after about 6 weeks when the chair arrived in their warehouse. We rented their truck for an hour and took the chair home and then returned the truck. When I again got home, we opened the container and discovered it was the wrong chair.
    I called fearing this would be a very frustrating experience. Instead, they arranged for two delivery people to bring out the correct chair, open it and move it into the house, and take the original chair back -- All within an hour of my phone call and at their expense. My wife and I were delighted with their courtesy and how quickly they responded to correct the mistake.

    Although I went to the store looking for furniture during their grand opening, there was still someone to answer all of my questions. They treated me with respect (even though I am younger and showed up with a sweatshirt on). They were not pushy, their prices were great and they were very up front about the time it would actually take to custom order some items. After I received my furniture, they called and sent me a letter asking how my experience was. If I had to go back and purchase my new home furniture again, I would have purchased everything from them. I have had many experiences with furniture stores over the last few months, and this company outshines any others that I purchased from!

    I chose Sofa Express because I thought that they would have better customer service than the furniture store just down the road with the same exact furniture at a cheaper price. However, I think I would have better service had I went with a smaller company. The salesperson was polite, but did not help push our problems through to someone higher who could help solve issues/make decisions. All the pieces were delivered with large blemishes, and when we asked the delivery men to load them back onto the truck, they refused. Leaving them in my bedroom for another 4 weeks. We set up 2 different appointments for them to come pick up the furniture, but both of them somehow got mysteriously cancelled. I finally was able to reach the manager after calling another store and getting them involved (my sales person never even told the manager of the store, and would not transfer my calls to her when I called in). It seemed like they had too big of a company to worry about my little experience.

    The sales person was very professional, not pushy, and prompt in processing my order. It was a very hassle free process. The items were delivered within a few days, and the delivery guys set it up in my bedroom after asking me where I wanted each item. The dresser drawers were out of whack, and they sent another dresser in two days! They did scratch a wall in my hallway, but the manager called me personally, apologized, and offered a generous credit. I would recommend them to my friends and family! They have great prices, good products, and good service.

    I was told that the item was in stock (which is why we chose Macy's over another company), but found out that it had to be retrieved and delivered from Georgia and that it would take 7 days. When the couch was delivered, there were brown stains all over the left portion of the couch. Customer service said they would send another couch in another 7 days. When they delivered it, they brought the wrong portion of the couch. On the 2nd delivery, the material had blemishes in it. The 3rd delivery, the cushions were made from different material than we requested (they were soft, not hard). Finally, the 4th time was perfect. Customer service offered me a $50 in store credit for my time and trouble. The worst part was that you cannot work with your salesperson after it is delivered, you must go through a customer service center. This means every time you call in, you talk to a different person. The one good experience I had was with the delivery guys- very professional and no wall dings!
