Electrician reviews in Pataskala

The company is very responsive and the electricians who came to my home were friendly, helpful, and very professional. I'm very pleased with their work and have already recommended them to two other people. For the amount of work done I consider the price to be very fair.

    KMA Electric, Heating & Cooling
Terrible! The contractor did a terrible job. Left the ditch that he dug wide open and did not cover the ditch properly. Also, added a junction box on the basement wall but did not terminate properly. Left cover off the box. Price was too high for the work performed. Contacted KMA and asked for a different person to come correct the work. They sent the same person.

Charlie did an excellent job of what I thought might be impossible! He's very responsive, professional, and performs great work. I understand that he works on all types of light fixtures and lamps to repair and bringing back to working order. I highly recommend One Man's Treasure.

    KAP Electric LLC
Ladies and gentleman, please keep in mind I am a working professional. I am a respectful person generally. I have never in my life wrote a bad review about anyone. Do it hire this guy!!! My story.....Where do I begin? I hired Keith to install landscape lights at my home. He came on time to give me a quote and was very professional. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism stopped. He said he would be contacting me in the next week to set up an appointment. 2.5 weeks later I called him to see when he planned on coming. He said he had tried to call me and left a message, but he did not call and I didn't have a message on my cell phone. He said it would be one more month before he could come out to do the work. He asked me to go pick out lights that I liked at a home improvement store, which I did. I was not happy about it being another month before he could do the work because I had mulching to do in my flower beds, and had to get the lights done first. However, I overlooked it and one month later he came to do the work. He installed the lights, turned them on and asked me to look at them to see if I liked them. I told him they looked ok but that it was daylight so it was hard to tell. My main concern was that I wanted the lights BRIGHT. He showed me a picture on his phone of previous work that he had done and said I had more lights than that house so my house should be very bright. That night when the lights came on they were very dim. They also blew the circuit to my sump pump. I contacted Keith and he said the simp pump had nothing to do with the the lights, however the sump pump blew at the exact same time as the lights. I will try to make the long story short, but please understand this has been going on since June 18th. I also asked Keith to drive by my house to see what he thought about the lights and call me. Well, he never called. I called him and he said yes he drove by my house and the lights looked dim but I (the homeowner) picked out the lights and did not get a high enough wattage. I explained to him that I had no idea about wattage and that I hired him to install the lights because I was in need of a professional. When I asked how much he would charge me to fix it his exact words were "it would be exactly what it was before, $24/light. So he admitted he did not give me what I asked for but was not willing to work with me. Keith ended up coming two weeks after this to try to fix the issue with the sump pump circuit blowing when the lights came on. He said he replaced something on the electrical box that seemed loose. That night, when the lights came on the lights blew the breaker again. I talked to another electrician who said to unplug the light and plug them into another outlet because Keith was of no help to me after several texts. He kept saying the two issues were separate. The other electrician said to plug the lights into another outlet and if they don't blow the breaker then he doesn't have enough amp on the circuit the lights are plugged into. Low and behold, when I plugged them into another outlet the lights stopped blowing the circuit. In the meantime the circuit to my air conditioner started blowing. I asked Keith about it and of course he said that this was a separate issue. When the lights came ok night, the air conditioner circuit would Blow, and then not come back on after the circuit was reset. It got up to 85 degrees in my house for 3 days. I had to end up telling him I was taking him to court in order for him to be willing to come back and fix the electrical issue that he caused and to come up with a resolution for how dim my landscape lights were. He said he would be at my house in 1 week. I purchased 4 more lights which he installed for free (again after telling him i was taking him to court). He also installed a larger circuit on the breaker for the lights. The lights were ok for 2-3 days and now they are blowing my lamp post right outside my door. The lamp post blows exactly when my lights come on. I contacted Keith and guess what? His response was "That's a separate issue". Please understand my house is 1 year old and we didn't have any electrical issues before he installed the lights. Please think twice before hiring him unless you want a headache from the beginning. Copies of text messages attached. Again, I have been dealing with this for 2 months with my sump pump breaker blowing when we had flooding in my area EXACTLY at the time the lights came on every single time! Not a coincidence! Then I had to get an electrical issue with my air conditioner fixed and now my lamp post doesn't work. Again, it blows exactly when the lights come on. I have contacted another electrican who is able to come to my house the next day to try and fix this issue, not 1 week. Who tells their customers they will be there in 1 week when they have an electrical issue that you caused. Welll ladies and gentleman, the answer is Keith with KAP electric. Also, separate issue, but he charged me $100 to try to fish a wire through my ceiling in order to hang a light above my island. He wasn't able to run the wire or cut the hole or hang the light because of the way my house is built. The price I was quoted to fish the wire, cut the hole and hang the light was $ why was I charged $100 to try to fish a wire through my ceiling? He literally spent 10 mins on it. Again, I have never had a worse experience with a contractor in my entire life, and I have built 2 houses and had 1 remodeled. Think again before hiring him!

    Mr Tool Belt LLC
Sadly it rained so much during this rehab. They started the concrete work by removing the old deck ramps which with all the mud made it's own problems. However, we worked around it, got everything installed very timely. I had a small window to work in and they made it happen. We just had some finishing touches while the tenant moved in. This was a major undertaking. The cost was $$$ but I felt it was extremely reasonable considering all that was being done. Matt Williams (owner, president and CEO of Mr. Toolbelt in Pataskala) had each step priced out so I could see exactly the costs and could adjust as needed. His final cost matched his estimate.

    Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Columbus
It went very bad. Matt was unwilling to demonstrate his lighting proposal in the evening when I could get a better perspective of what he was proposing. He told me that I "wasn't listening" to what he was telling me. That is no way to treat a customer. As he said I have called him maybe three times before and cancelled, he charged me a service call of $40.

They did a fine job for the work they did. I thought the price was fair for what they did. It is working fine so far. They showed up on time and did the job. There was one worker that came out to complete the job and it took him an hour to do it.

Light Up Your Life Electric Inc
He showed up and I wanted a lighted (one piece) medicine cabinet put in. He said they don't do that. Ok, on to next. I wanted bathroom vent replaced. He said it would take 2 hours to do. Seemed a bit long to me but..... He got an hour into the job and said he needed to go to hardware store to get a part to go from 3" to 4" pipe. I told him a True Value was 4 miles away. He explained he doesn't go to Mom and Pop stores he was going to Lowe's (during rush hour) and 10 miles away. He was gone an hour. Returned and I asked if the hour he was gone was not going to count against my 2 hour time. He said no but most would count it. Well, if you you'd gone to closest place it wouldn't have take an hour. He finishes and has me come up to check it out. Looked great. He said he cleaned it all up for me. I would have 10X's rather I cleaned it up and he put up the next item which was a vanity light that I'd already showed him. If he didn't count his shopping time, he still owed me a half an hour. I didn't say anything as at that point I figured if he did do it, he wouldn't be happy or do a good job. I feel I was shorted half an hour and I paid $99 to have a bathroom fan/light replaced. Only got one thing crossed off my list in "2" hours. I would not use them again. It would be helpful if discussion took place before visit to see what work was being performed. I would have liked to have known the medicine cabinet wasn't an option. I probably wouldn't have purchased the deal at that point.

    Rising Height Unlimited
The company provided excellent service and the employees are experienced, very professional, and skilled craftsmen. The patio doors had been an issue for years and they were repaired like new. The hardwood floors presented a challenge due to new installation procedures, but the carpenter kept working until he resolved the issue and the floors are showroom quality. Old bathroom tile was removed and new tile installed with no issues, and cabinets were refinished like new.

    Midwest Construction Services LLC
On 2/2/2016 we paid them 1/3 down that was supposed to be used as a down payment and to pay for the material and products that we were to select. After selecting our materials and products and finalizing the designs, we paid them another 1/3 on 4/18/2016 - the date they were to begin construction. The contract stated that the entire project would be completed in 10-12 weeks. As of today, 10/24/2016, the kitchen has yet to be completed. Nothing else has been done to the rest of the home. There are also a lot of problems with the work that has been done. Examples include electrical, plumbing, hvac, and appliance installation. There are electrical wires hanging from the ceiling; electrical switches and outlets dangling from the walls; some outlets and switches do not work and are not connected properly; there is an hvac connection to our upstairs bathroom that hasn't been hooked up; and some of the plumbing is not working properly. All of these things have been in this condition for over 6 months and nothing has been done to fix them. We don't had a kitchen sink, dishwasher, or workable/vented range hood. They haven't yet installed all of the kitchen cabinets and counter top. The counter top we selected in March was never purchased and we lost it, having to go through the intensive process of trying to find another one at the beginning of Sep. According to the granite supplier, Midwest were warned for 3 months that they were not going to hold the slabs any longer and received NO response from Midwest; so they were forced to sell them to someone else at the beginning of Aug. I didn't find out about this until the beginning of Sep and ONLY because I contacted the supplier directly. When I confronted Midwest about it, they actually threatened to file criminal charges against me over a lie that I threatened one of their employees lives (a complete falsehood and intimidation tactic). I was furious and couldn't believe someone in charge of their company would speak to me and threaten me like that. I immediately contacted an attorney, and was very close to filing a lawsuit, but I really didn't think going down that road was good for anyone. I decided to work with them and give them once last chance to get this right, so we went through the process of looking all over town for a week and finally found new granite, although it was more expensive than the original. Midwest actually admitted that it was their fault and agreed to pay for 1/3 of the cost difference. Although that mistake was still going to cost us a lot of extra money, I was hopeful that we could actually work together and FINALLY get this resolved - so we accepted and assumed work would actually begin a new within a week or so. Well, that wasn't to be, because here we are nearly 2 months now since that happened, and still NO work has been done and they are now ignoring my texts and phone calls. Entire homes have been built in the time we've been waiting for a kitchen. I have sent them emails and texts over and over again trying to get some idea of when this was to be completed, and have only received "you're on the schedule", and then no one shows up to do any work or they do very little. Since Feb, they have had someone at my house doing work, maybe 3 weeks total (considering a 2/3 man crew working 8 hours/day). I sent them an email last month telling them all these things, asking them to complete the job in a reasonable time frame, telling them we can't continue to live like this. We are a 7 person family living without a kitchen and our family room and bathroom is a wreck because they tore out tile flooring and large portions of drywall in these areas and have never fixed any of it. I don't think they will ever complete the work they have contracted to do for us. Enough is enough, I am filing this complaint and I am filing one with the BBB and the Ohio Attorney Generals office.
