    Cabinet-S-Top Inc
I had my entire kitchen re-done from floor to ceiling. I liked that Cabinet-S-Top is a one stop shopping location. I picked out the cabinet color and door style. They have many colors to choose from. Then the room design was made and my designer gave me several design options to choose from. Next I picked out the floor tile, countertop and backsplash. They even have many cabinet door hardware styles to choose from. I had 3 windows removed and 1 new window installed. The soffits were removed to give me more cupboard space which I badly needed. There was some minor plumbing changes to do, but the electrical wiring was totally re-done and a new breaker box was installed. It was a joy working with my designer from Cabinet-S-Top. She had many years of experience and she was patient with me and my changes. I highly recommend Cabinet-S-Top to anyone planning to remodel their kitchen. They greatly reduce the stress of planning the kitchen makeover.

    Ebel's Installations, Inc.
I am very disappointed with my experience with Ebel's today. When I made the initial appointment, the lady said I would be called in advance to allow time to get home from work. That did not happen - the guy called me from my driveway and I had to abruptly leave work and hurry home - so much stress. Then when I got home, the guy said that I had to have my duct modified for the new hood. He said his company was not able to handle complex ducting (In my case through the roof) and could only handle ducting on an exterior wall. However, Ebel's website lists installation and repair of ducting as a service and a review on Angies List states someone had "vertical ducting to roof exterior, installation of roof cap, custom cutting of stainless steel duct surround and re-texturing of vaulted ceiling surrounding duct." which seems to be exactly what I needed. Why was I told they couldn't do my similar job? I had to leave work for half a day only to be told they were only able to handle simple installations? He offered to install the hood which would vent to the interior of the house (He said I could use a carbon filter which to me seemed like a joke) - What's the use of installing a vent if I can't duct to the outside ? I sure won't be calling this company again. I don't care if this company doesn't want to do the work - it is their decision - just don't seriously inconvenience me and waste half my workday in the process. From now on, I will never leave work for an estimate. If a provider requires that, I'll just call a different provider who is willing to provide an estimate around my schedule - they're working for me, I'm not working for them. There are sure many competitors.

    SemBro Design & Supply
The whole process was quick and painless. I got the cabinets I needed for a few kitchens at great prices. The cabinets are of high-quality and come with all the features you would want, plywood construction, soft-close hinges etc. Highly recommend to work with them.

    American Wood Reface
Scott, our carpenter did an outstanding job. He paid close attention to every detail and made our kitchen look amazing. All the work that was agreed upon was completed to a Tee. Ron, Am Wood Reface Sales person was also highly professional and was able to uniquely differentiate American Wood Reface vs. others we looked at. No high pressure tactics which was greatly appreciated! My wife and I are very pleased with the end result and and would highly endorse American Wood Reface!

    Licaro Builders LLC
We have used Jimmy and Licaro Builders for 3 large projects over the last 4 years. We have been thrilled with everything Jimmy has done for us. Our master bath was a complete gut and redesign and it ended up being better homes and gardens worthy (according to several visitors!). Our laundry room was fitted with custom made cubbies for our 4 kids and is a wonderful addition to our home. We plan on using Jimmy in the next year or two for 2 other bathrooms and our kitchen. We highly recommend Jimmy. He wants everything perfect for his customers. His craftsmen are wonderful (the tile work in our shower is sublime). Jimmy took the time to explain things, meet us at vendors to help pick our tile/granite/cabinets. We were very pleased.

    Lowe's Home Improvement
It took over a year to complete. The original contractor hung the cabinets w/o allowing room for wood trim. Instead he used a furniture tape and painted it the wrong color along with the tops of all the cabinets. Two walls were removed and he drywalled improperly but Lowes finds it acceptable? Originally the designer and contractor came out to measure. I asked them out a second time to be sure there would be no surprises with the electrical. He installed two plugs not in code anyway. Lowes did have that done over. A section of counter space was measured wrong resulting in a cabinet I paid extra for was moved against a wall and a sheet was ordered twice for them to glue on the outer part of the cheaper cabinet. No reimbursement there. It was explained to me there would be oversight after every job. There was none. After the job started three months late, one guy worked for week and a couple of days then I didn't see anyone for a month. I asked for an inspector to come out after a few weeks of no work. I asked that the inspector take the contractor off my job because he yelled at me and was very rude when I asked him to do the electrical properly. When work resumed, they sent in the same contractor. He would not lower the cabinets that were not hung properly. He just continued on without fixing them and Lowes let it go. He put most handles on crooked. He was paid in full before the job so he had no incentive to do my job which is not the way it was supposed to go.. Finally they bring in a new contractor but unfortunately he made an error in judgement in the placement of cabinet door. It took twice as long to fix that problem because the designer ordered the wrong size twice. Otherwise he did much better job. The whole job was a year plus of mistakes made from the beginning. Lowe's takes your money up front so you have no recourse except to wait it out. They threw in a paint job for my trouble then when asked if I wanted a wall tiled, I said sure. I was given a call about two weeks later with the estimate for the wall, they included a minimum service charge for the job after I have already spent over $20,000 in that store and had been waiting months to have my kitchen finished. They ended up throwing in the wall because I wasn't about to pay for it. I wanted an extended warrantee for the furniture tape instead of wood trim above my cabinets. Will it last is my issue? Lowe's never addressed the fact that he also painted on all the cabinets while painting that tape. The walls improperly drywalled but acceptable to Lowe's I can only hope they are right because they won't extend a warrantee for that mistake either. I tried to give you the good and the bad but I will never use Lowe's again. This review would be much much longer if I reported all the ridiculous incompetency that occurred over the year plus it took them to finish.

    Mayer Plumbing & Heating
We hired Mayer Plumbing and Heating to move a bathroom commode and sink within the same room about 4 feet in distance from its previous location. We were in a remodeling project in our offices and this work alone cost nearly $8,000. We couldn't keep their workers on the job more than 2 hours at a time. They would leave for long periods, go across the street and smoked and used their cell phones. We failed the building inspection for this bathroom after their work. The inspector gave them clear guidelines as to what code required. It took 4 visits from the inspector before things were done right. Shortly after the installation was completed, we had a sewer backup in this bathroom, something we had never had before during a period of 48 years. We then had a power flush toilet installed (by another company) thinking that would help. It was to no avail. We finally brought in a plumber with a camera who found a 10 foot chain made up of 2" links tied in knots in the drain just beyond where the new PVC drainpipe that had been installed by Mayer Plumbing was connected to the original steel pipe. Of course, at added expense, we had to have the chain extricated. We have had no backups since having the chain removed. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

    Bakai Construction LLC
I requested a quote from Bakai to install tile in a very small bathroom. I explained I had already removed the old tile and prepped the floor, and that I had purchased the tile, grout, and adhesive. I was looking for installation. Angie's List suggests that installing tile should be $4-$5 per square foot. [*** Link removed ***] Bakai quoted me at $25 bucks per square foot. Outrageous. Steer clear folks!!
