    National floor source
Took almost 4 days to do, but when it came to the steps never completed the sides of the steps, since my father put vinyl on the sides of the steps and floor. Left the vinyl on the sides of the steps and did not come up with a solution as of yet. Needed to caulk the steps and sides of the wall on floor and bathroom to prevent dirt and water. Have been trying to get this matter settled since Oct 12, 2019.

    Frederick's Floor Covering And Cabinetry
It went extremely well. I found out that even remnants of "Life-Guard" carpeting would be too large -- and therefore also too expensive -- for just the corner my husband & I needed to protect. And Max at Frederick's explained that he could not cut a remnant in half. Instead, he offered me two samples of Shaw Life-Guard carpeting, which together do a fair job of covering the corner we needed. He warned me that the colors wouldn't match, and they don't, but they'll protect my freshly-cleaned carpet--which is what I most wanted. In short, Max listened to my unique needs (itself a plus) and found a way to meet them. For free! He did not charge us for the samples. When we can manage it, we'll be replacing our existing carpet of course. I asked Max for his recommendation for a house with two dogs--the Shaw carpet, hard-wood, or laminate? He suggested instead vinyl faux-wood planking, and the brochure he gave us looks very attractive. When we can manage the replacement, we'll be calling Frederick's!

    ARTISTIC CARPET WAREHOUSE, INC.
We'd used carpet warehouse before to carpet two bedrooms in our old house and that went fine (we picked a carpet off the warehouse floor since we had very little square footage needed). This time we needed much more carpet (1800-2000 sqft) and we wanted a color thats harder to find (lighter multi-tonal gray with no browns). We chose something and were told one price from a sales rep (5500) and one from the owner (4000). We increased our budget from 3000 to 4000 to get the color/quality we wanted but when we went back saying we agreed to the 4000 price, we were told it was more like 4500-4800? and ultimately this was more than we could afford. We were told he could come up with a very similar for us at the 4000 price point that would be just as good so we trusted that and agreed sight unseen knowing we were on a time crunch and needed the carpets done by Friday 8/17 for a move in on 8/18. We got word on 8/16 that the carpet had not been shipped and would not be in on 8/17. We had to delay our entire move because we did not have this carpet - it was made very clear from the beginning that getting this in on time was absolutely critical. Eventually the carpet was installed on 8/21-8/22, with our revised move in day on 8/24. The color is not what we would have liked it to be - too dark and fairly monotone. We would not have chosen a carpet without seeing it if we weren't on the time crunch (we would have gone to see it in person) and we ended up not even getting the carpet when we needed it. I know part of this is our fault but they assured us it would be in on time so we were willing to accept the color might not be perfect - then it wasn't in on time. Also be warned they do not clean up so there are carpet fibers EVERYWHERE and several small scrap pieces in the rooms as well. Because of this its hard to tell until you sweep it all up that there are small snags in many places.

Calvetta Brothers Floor Show - Macedonia
That experience went very well. They were efficient and good about moving furniture, and the quality was good. They also came back 7 years later to re-stretch an area in the hallway. I believe the price was fair.

Calvetta Brothers Floor Show - Macedonia
There was a little hallway issue where it was starting to buckle a little bit and they re-stretched it.Well, I was impressed with that. They back their warranty I guess I don't know if it's a certain amount of years but they probably came 7 years later and they still backed it.

    National Carpet Mill Outlet
When I originally spoke to our salesman, he said he could carpet the rec room for around $700 and the office for approximately $500; the final cost was over $1,700. The carpeting was scheduled in 2 appointments to give us time to move the furniture out. The first installers came out and did a good job on the rec room. The 2nd appointment went terribly bad because their truck broke down and they couldn't come out that day. The company scheduled 2 guys from their Wooster location to come out to complete the office. They were late coming out but did a fair job in completing the work. Two days later, we finished putting all the stuff back in my husbands office and realized that a set of antique collectible items were missing. They were there before the installation and were missing afterwards and the installers were the only ones other than me and my husband in the house. We contacted our salesman and he told my husband that he would have the owner call us back (that never happened). After trying to reach our salesman over several days, I called the store and asked to speak to his sales manager and he gave us the contacts from the Wooster store and had our salesman contact us. I would highly suggest that if you use this company to install carpeting, that you inspect the rolls of old carpeting they remove before they leave your home and stay there and watch them so the same thing doesn't happen to you.

    PuroClean Professional Services
Outside the foundation of the house, PuroClean nearly rebuild my entire home from start to finish. They cleaned, demoed and rebuilt the structure including framing, installing insulation, drywall, plumbing, ventilation, flooring, painting, trimming and every finishing touch. The PuroClean team was flexible and responsive throughout the whole process. I recommend PuroClean for any restoration job, big or small.

    Calvetta Bros Floor Show Inc
Overall the process was extremely frustrating. The process took several weeks and multiple missteps were made. We had our hardwood floors refinished and new hardwood installed first, unfortunatley multiple missteps occurred from there. Next was the carpet which again turned out great. Unfortunately when the carpet was installed they did not cover the recently refinished hardwoods at all, dragging old carpet across the floors creating scratches and wore boots throughout. I had extra Ram Board downstairs that I offered to lay down when they first came over, but they said they would cover the hardwoods. Due to not covering the newly refinished hardwoods, there was dust over the floors once the carpet install was complete. The carpet installer decided to hard broom the newly refinished hardwoods, creating scratches all over the entry and dining room. Karen Calvetta was apologetic about the mistake and quickly sent someone to correct. However when they refinished the floors again this time they used the wrong sheen on half of the floors that were refinished (done in semigloss instead of matte). Again another refinisher was sent out to match the sheens. With all the work, hair and dust was located throughout the hardwood refinish and remains. When they redid the hardwoods they did not remove any air register vents on the floors just going around them (two screws to remove). They also did not match the sheen on the steps to the rest of the sheens and just left that. Lastly they forgot to include shoe molding in the price of the hardwood install and up-charged us for this in the room that did not already have it. Overall not a professional job at all on the hardwood refinishing/install. They appear to employ people without the technical skills for hardwood. Carpet install is great, but hardwood or professional services, run away from. Even with all this hassle and multiple delays, they knocked nothing off the price (to be fair we didnt pushed too hard and were really just done with it by the time they were finished). They actually incorrectly sent an invoice at the end with a higher price per square foot for carpet than originally agreed upon. They quickly adjusted once I pointed it out, but if I didnt catch it, we would have been charged more. Calvetta leaders was very nice and professional throughout and responsive to phone calls, but their workers are just very sloppy. They appear to not have the infrastructure to handle the number of jobs their workers are required to juggle, quickly rushing from one job to the next.

    Frederick's Floor Covering And Cabinetry
I will never go to another carpet place other than Frederick's. They do carry high and medium levels of carpet. But, the installers completed the job in less than one day. 16 years ago, I had another place do the same job. It took them three days, and within six months the carpet was buckeling. Didn't look like they stretched the carpet as the Frederick guys noticed within minutes.

    Permanent Floors Carpet One
I work in a small home office and we needed the first floor of our carpet replaced before a big out of town client was due to visit and this work needed to be done very quickly. All was well at first. They came out right away and quoted me at $2500 and ensured that if I placed the order now they would have plenty of time to receive and install the carpet before our big visit. Once I agreed and they charged my card the down payment, I get a phone call almost a week later telling me that their distributor mis-quoted and that the new price is $3300. I was upset because I felt like this was a bait and switch since they knew I was in a bind, plus I didn't see how it was our fault that they didn't get their numbers correct. If our business misquoted our clients you better believe we would be eating that cost. However, we eventually negotiated to split the increase and he ensured me that all was well with our deadline. Two days before they are scheduled to install, four days before my deadline, they tell me that they can't get the carpet in time even though UPS offers NDA and Saturday delivery. They threw their distributor under the bus yet refused to let me contact them to see if I could get the carpet shipped direct through our UPS account. They were completely unwilling to work with me on installing another day and gave me no other options. I could tell that they didn't want to do the work due to their previous mistakes making the job less profitable for them. I understand that to a point, but as a I now have to explain to my boss why the carpet is not being replaced it's my *** on the line. Bottom Line: Shady business practices that will leave you in the lurch.
