    B-DRY SYSTEM CLEVELAND
All aspects of the process, beginning to end was done professionally and competently. Construction personnel worked very hard to complete job as quoted, about 120 ft completed in less than 24 hours in total over four days. Price was very competitive, work done professionally. No problems with water intrusion after two months. Full transferable warranty for life of house. Great company.

Workers were on time, very polite and as neat as possible. Cleaned basement after repairing wall that reqired cinder blocks cut,out and replaced by cementing them in place with rebar. Did partial waterproofing of two walls. The recommendations for repair were conservative and reasonable. Replanted all landscaping and so far it is ok. They were working in a very confined area (free standing condo houses close, together) and cleaned up every night before they left including washing down the street. The supervisor Dan is very knowledgeable. This company also repaired the storm sewers for my mother in law in Wickliffe when she sold her house three years ago. They did a good job there as well.

The steps slope inward and collect water, this is going to be such a slip and fall hazard in the winter. The patio itself slopes in all different directions and can't even accommodate my hot tub it's so uneven were having to have a separate stand built for it (you can see by the photo that shows the entire view of the patio, you cant see the border from one side to the other because its so uneven). the contactor knew in advance exactly where I was putting the hot tub. I asked him to run underground conduit so that the wires would be hidden, he ran the wrong kind of conduit using plumbing pvc instead of electrical with an elbow that the wire cant go through so its not even useable so I ended up paying another contractor to come run the correct type of PVC and now the PVC sits on top of my patio (what an eyesore). One of the control joints doesn't even span the length of my patio, it goes 3/4 of the way through, stops and starts again in a completely different spot. The stamps aren't lined up in some areas they look so fake. The concrete is chipping apart. And he put a piece of 2x4 in font of my basement window blocking our access, he should have made a window well and ran the concrete below the window. When I tried to discuss my dissatisfaction and how it could be fixed the owner Mike stated "satisfaction isn't guaranteed" and blamed me for not doing enough research on poured concrete. Unfortunately, he was already paid in full by my finance company.

The primary work to be done was:
    1) Excavate 110' ft around foundation
    2) Install new footer tiles
    3) Install new gutter drains
    4) Tie into existing drain to street
    5) Install three layers of waterproofing material on outside of basement walls 6) Backfill with gravel and topsoil, then put down grass seed.

Additional work performed unrelated to the water issue, but the Chubb crew had the equipment and skill to take care of:
    1) Remove 20' of existing retaining wall
    2) Remove 40' of concrete sidewalk
    3) Remove brick steps
    4) Repair weather damaged brickwork
    5) Install new retaining wall
    6) Minor regrading

Each day, the Chubb crew put down 4x8 plywood sheets to reduce the wear and tear their equipment put on the lawn, and at the end each day they stacked the sheets out of the way. All of the excavation area was reinforced and was covered with plywood sheeting after completing work for each day. The crew spent a lot of time keeping the work areas neat, and at the end of the job, even hosed down the driveway. There was extra charge of @ $900 to remove a thick concrete pad underneath the steps that was not visible until the steps were removed. I spoke briefly with the crew leader at the beginning of each day and was kept up to date with progress and plans for the day. All work met our expectations from the initial meeting with Terry Chubb.

Clink Builders & Contracting Co Inc
Our home (17 years old) is a 3200 sq. ft. home in an admired
development. We discovered that the west wall of our basement was leaning in
    about 4?.

We had experienced wet basement block on three of the walls (never
any water) along with vertical cracks and horizontal cracks. I called out a
home inspector who identified and noted the problems.

We went to Angies?s list to find a creditable and
trustworthy contractor to address the problem we also had highly advertised competitors
estimate the job but found that they were salesmen and not the actual contactor
    that would be on site.

Bill Clink (Owner) came out and immediately I was impressed with
his knowledge, credentials, and straight forward approach.

We signed a contact and within the agreed time frame they
were on site doing the job. His crew was excellent, respectful of the property,
worked exceptionally hard, and continually kept me informed of the progress.
They brought in the heavy equipment to dig the trench and worked themselves completely
around three sides of our home? Removing the clay and replacing it with proper
stone, putting in a new drain tile. They hauled away all of the old clay. It
was a very large operation taking two weeks.

They straightened the West wall that was leaning in and reinforced
it with rebar and cement fill down the internal opening of the block. They regraded
the plantings and put a toping of topsoil that we then could replant our
    landscaping.

I was impressed that every night they cleaned (power washed)
the driveway and cleaned the site.

It is an emotional event to have your home disrupted like
this. Bill Clink was on site 80% of the time and his son was on site 100% of the
time. It was an asset to have a family run business.

I have recommended Bill Clink Builders to others and would recommend
Bill Clink Builders to anyone in need of a basement contractor.

The test came this spring when we had a day of exceptional
rain (3 inches) and the basement was dry, and the sump pump worked flawlessly.

    Sincerely,

William A. & Mary Jean Fitzgerald

    Adelios Contracting Co
Mr. Defranco came and explained the process of what would be done and I was told the price. I did have two other contractors come and see what they could do for me. They were all in the same ballpark for the price. I did ask Mr. Defranco if he offers a cash discount and he did give me a savings of 500.00 off. Mr. Difranco  call me ahead of time to check with my schedule. The guys came around 8am and left maybe around 3:30pm they cleaned up each day. This was a small job it took them two and half days to complete. Also having a warranty is another reason why I went with this company.

Mr. Wheeler came out on a Saturday to discuss water entering into my basement. I showed him a small pin hole on the interior wall of the basement. He said it was coming from the front porch . He explained removing about twelve boards, than digging about six feet across and six feet down. Then flushing the line and sealing the wall. I explained to him that I will be putting the home on the market and would like a transferable warranty. Then he said no warranty or maybe a mini warranty for flushing the line. So this was my red flag. I still had to get two more quotes from other people. Mr Wheelers price was about 500.00 dollars less than the first person that came out. But, for my piece of mind I still need that warranty.

After submitting a request for an estimate the owner called me and I described the situation to him.  He advised that he was out of town so he could not come check it out for a week but we talked it through. I told him that while removing drywall I located a small hole in the slab on the outer wall. It was pretty deep  and I thought it was the cause of a foundation issue. After discussing it thoroughly, he said that he was pretty sure he knew what it was and asked for me to send him a few photos to his personal cell phone. I sent them and he confirmed that this was a common issue with slab homes but not necessarily a foundation issue. He told me how to fix it with a few supplies from Home Depot. I really appreciate him taking the time to help me on this without any type of reimbursement.

My wife and I talked with Terry Chubb in August, one of three interviews done to solve water issues in our basement, crawl space, and workshop. He was the best--professional, not an alarmist, working out a plan while assessing the problem,  and spent well over an hour with us.  When he left he had given us a detailed approach and a solid price, all in writing. All three companies had told us that it would be some time before work could commence, so I was not surprised that the call did not come until December 15th. The crew arrived on the 17th and went right to work, beginning the trenching. The next day work continued on the trenches. On the third day work began on the interior and Dan told me that he planned to finish before Christmas Eve. December 20th, a Saturday, one guy spent a couple hours tarring. On the 22nd Dan politely made sure I would be out of the way for a huge load of limestone--the last two men left after 5:30 PM. Work was essentially done on the 23rd, although some details needed tending to inside the house--they were seen to on the 26th. Two minor issues were solved on the 29th, and all seems well now. Over two days (January 3-4), at least one inch of rain fell and we were completely dry--a good test.
My wife was in the hospital most of the time Chubb's crew was working, and I was very glad that 1) they were completely trustworthy while I was away, and 2) most of the guys regularly asked how she was getting along. Also, Mr Chubb was mindful of this and, though I had a check ready, nobody seemed concerned about immediate payment. Any questions were answered professionally and with respect.
