  • I will continue to use Jacob's Ladder and have referred them to others already. The only downside is having to wait to get on their schedule but I think that's a good problem to have. Their work is well worth the wait.

  • I am beyond pleased with the finished work and the manner in which it was executed.  The guys showed up when they said they would.  They made me aware of what they were doing and when.  They left my house clean and undisturbed.  It was refreshing to see the pride they took in their work.
Most definitely a top notch company that I will use again in the future.  It is a pleasure to support this local business.  I would highly recommend them for any household repair or remodel work.

  • We have done significant business with Radiant over the last couple years and have been overjoyed with the quality of material and workmanship.
This job was no different. It couldn't have gone any better. High quality material combined with expert workmanship makes for a very satisfied customer.
I highly recommend them for whatever you need done.

  • I contacted Jacob's ladder during the week of April 1 to complete some miscellaneous repair work at a rental property that we are converting for sale.  When I called, I was given a date the following week for Jacob to come and provide an estimate.  On the day of the estimate, Jacob was on time.   He was extremely professional and provided a detailed quote including a recommendation for the door we were replacing (with cost for the door).  My husband was very impressed with his professionalism and schedule the work for the following week.  We were not required to pay a deposit at the time the work was booked.  Our job was relatively small (mostly labor) so this may not be the case with larger jobs.
Jacob scheduled the work to be completed the following Friday (April 19).  On Thursday morning, he called us to ask if they could come a day early, which was a first for us in the contractor world. :)  We agreed to this and unlocked the house (it is empty) for the workers doing the work.  A couple of hours later, I stopped by to make sure everything was going ok.  The man doing the work on teh front door (Dave I believe) was extremely professional and courteous.
My husband stopped by later to check on the work.  Jacob was also there.  He had come back to the worksite to check on the progress of the work and to make sure the quality was to his standards.  Unfortunately, I have found that this is also a rarity with contractors.  The work was completed in one day and was done to a high quality standard.  The workers cleaned up the mess and took the old materials (including old door) away.
I couldn't be more pleased with the responsiveness, professionalism and quality of the work done by Jacob's Ladder.  I would absolutely recommend them and use them again.
The total cost for the work including the door itself was $725.

  • As someone with experience in rough/finished carpentry, I was very apprehensive in having anyone do something I am used to doing myself.  Due to my work, I did not have the time to tackle this particular project.  I met with Jacob (very nice young man) who feels strongly in customer satisfaction being his number one priority.   After covering the project layout, another meeting was set up with Bob (his foreman).  I have to say it was Bob who convinced me to use Jacobs Ladder for this project.  He took the time to walk through the project (posts, rafters, what they would tear out and re-build, and the material that would be used).  I was off for a few days while Bob and Jeff were working on this project, and what I saw made me very comfortable in their ability not only as builders, but someone who actually cared how the project turned out, and the small things that made this not just "another job".  Again, I want to thank Jacob, and his crew for an addition that I absolutely love, and will enjoy for many years to come......

  • We signed a contract with them and then they wanted to change the contract to a much higher price and would not give our down payment back. We had to go through our charge card company to retrieve our money. Very unprofessional, would not return our calls, would not work with us. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

  • This is going to seem long winded but I think it will be worth the read.I have never posted a review online or anywhere so I do no know what format to use. (I actually would never pay to do something like this if I did not think it could help someone else out.)I am a methodical person and not a wordsmith of any kind.  Here goes…Baccus Construction, was as the poster prior to me stated  “the preferred window installer” of the Marvin Windows (They are the installers for Window Pro the Authorized Reps of the Fiberglass line of Windows by Marvin called INFINITY) we chose them because we liked the Lifetime Unlimited Warranty, Parts and Labor.  Baccus Construction was however much more capable than being the typical window installers. First I will share that it was a hard time finding a window company and then putting your faith in them for the install.  I am an engineer by trade and very particular.   I was going to use a person in the Family who has had a construction company for 30 years but decided to not mix Family and Construction after tales of woe.Anywho back to Baccus Construction, Craig from Baccus was very very helpful in explaining to me every detail of the install and ensuring me that no corner would be cut in quality.  I am the type to look over a shoulder and check up to make sure.  So as they started to pull out the old windows they showed me exactly why the previous windows had failed and needed replacement, upon finding out why my wife and I had to make a huge decision that would impact us for the years to come.  It came down to the home builder not using proper weather protection under the siding (no Tyvek or house wrap of any kind, no Fanfold, and no flashing tape or weather barrier in the openings, and not even properly securing the J-channel or where the rain funnels away from your house and away from your windows.  Our house had many issues that were really unknown to us until we needed our windows fixed our house was roughly 15 years old and was showing some premature signs of age.  As Baccus found issue after issue they came to us with a few solutions, they were all common sense solutions and they were more than fair with the prices they gave us.  We were at a crossroad, we could just simply install the new windows we bought and they would ensure the windows would not be leak, or we could fix some of our other weather proofing issues and secure the rest of our house and possibly lower our Heating and Cooling costs by adding the Fanfold (insulation) and Tyvek (house wrap, wind barrier, water barrier) as well as weatherproofing our house correctly. As it became abundantly clear we needed to put aside our budget and fix the house correctly we chose to have him rebuild the house from the outside,  Baccus replaced rotten OSB board, Celotex,  our rotten Cedar, our plugged soffits, our incorrectly hung siding, properly fixed all the penetrations in the siding, (the outdoor outlets, the porch lights, the garage lights, the utility box, the outdoor disconnects for the AC, the pool heater, the pool pump, the hot tub, the outdoor water lines for sprinkler systems, the water spigots,  the telephone box, the dryer vent, the bathroom exhaust fans,  and the gas and water meters)  the reason I listed those things is because when you add it all up it is a lot of  places that wind and water were getting in the house.Besides installing the Windows properly and weather sealing them they really rebuilt every bit of our house from the outside.  We have new Windows, new Siding, new Soffits, new Gutters, new Gables, new Light and Utility Fixtures.  Our house went from light blue to a grey that the we and the neighbors love and complement.  Baccus Construction had all the right tools they brought what they needed to complete the work each day and packed up each day.  I was surprised that they had a few sets of scaffolding that could get all the way to the peaks of each side of the house all at the same time without that I believe it would have taken them twice the time to setup and teardown, he had more ladders then he had workers but that saved time as well, his truck was neat and tidy he kept the inside of our house clean and spectacular, he cleaned some messes that weren’t even his.  They laid down clean drop clothes, and made sure they left no messes or even dust behind. The weather was in-climate during the entirety of the project but they made sure that our house was weather proofed every step of the way.  I have looked at the outside of the house and the inside of the house from top to bottom and have not found anything that looks abnormal or out of place all the lines are level and sharp and very uniform.

  • A 14' x 8' window ordered in 2 7' sections was mulled as one. Window cranks were not matched as to right or left handed. The front door have the wrong primer to get the correct finish. The $3500 patio will not close and lock. Price of windows were twice as much as Pella. None of the issues were resolved.
