    The cables for the garage door were hanging on both sides of the door. I called on Saturday made an appointment for Monday since I did not feel it was an emergency, we just park vehicle outside. As promised I received a call when they were on their way. The torsion spring had not been replaced in more than 10 years. The job was completed in less than 30 minutes, really I think it was less than that. Extremely pleased with the work and response time.

    THE name of the company was ''ADAM GARAGE DOOR THEY DID A WONDERFUL REPAIRING MY DOOR. THE WAS ON TIME EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT HAD TO DONE TO REPAIR THE DOOR. I AM VERY PLEASE WITH THE WORK THAT DONE THE PRICE WAS VERY FAIR. I WOULD CALL ADAMS GARAGE DOOR AGAIN TO PERFORMANCE WORK.     Jack, the worker arrived as scheduled he went through the stages of what was going to be done. He described everything he was doing, very careful to point the safety of the new openers and how to use the opener and keypad.He cleaned up everything and left,. Only thing I wondered is why I never got a receipt, paid by check though. He came at 1pm and was done before 2:30.

    The estimator came on time, a few days after I set up an appointment, explained everything to my satisfaction. He gave a fair price for a new door (with blown-in polyurethane insulation) and ALL new hardware.) He also sent a door tech 4 business days days later to temporarily fix the spring (for free) so i could use the door and opener while I waited 3 weeks for my door to come in (I wanted a very specific, unpopular one.) The tech arrived on time (I was the first stop of the day) and installed the door. The wire for one of the opener safety sensors had been chewed up by an animal some years before, so the wire broke off during the change-over of hardware (totally understandable.) He said he was required to replace it before hooking up the door to my opener. But he came back the next morning to do so. I thought he was going to replace the wire all the way to the opener, but he only spliced the new sensor in. If I had known that he wasn't going to replace the whole wire, I would have replaced the sensor myself and saved $24. Overall, I'm happy, because I paid a fair price for the quality and R-value of door, and the service they provided. Overhead Door of Akron receives bonus points for fixing the spring at no charge so I could open the door while I waited for the replacement.

    I made an appointment for a Friday between 12:00 and 2:00. I received a call 30 minutes prior to arrival from the Service Technician, Dave. One Dave arrived and I presented him with my Angie's List Deal and explained what I had been experiencing with the door, Dave got right to work. After completing the tune-up and roller replacement, Dave explained what he had found and what my options were to fix the issues. I could have chosen from two options since I did not need a new door opener. I chose the "best" option which included replacing two springs, cables, pulleys, & boxes- basically everything but the door track. The "best" option comes with a lifetime warranty, whereas the "good" option only came with a 3-year warranty. Dave again got right to work and completed the job quickly. He was very pleasant and professional. I felt no pressure in making my decision on which service to have him complete. This was a great experience using Precision Overhead Garage Door! Thanks Dave!!

    The consultant Al came in on time and was very professional. He did the work in a timely manner. I did ask him to replace the lightbulb that was not working while he was here but, he was not able to because he did not have the supply. He did tell me where to buy the  lightbulb for my garage. The regular lightbulb I placed worked for only a week. Al did take the time to answer multiple questions I asked about maintenance of my garage. Over all a great service.

    I was very impressed by Precision Doors website, the courtesy and information provided by receptionist Jennifer, and by the rapid and satisfactory service provided by installer Bill Adamini.  The entire transaction was accomplished within six hours, from Jennifer's call-back response to my phone call over the weekend, to my signing off on the completion of Bill's work.  Bill called while he was underway, even ahead of schedule, then promptly arrived, listened to my questions and narrative as I showed him our ancient heavy wooden door, and told me exactly what my options were and what he would do.  I felt I could make a well-informed decision, so we agreed on a plan.  Bill said he had all the necessary parts stocked in his truck, so he started work right away and showed he knew exactly what to do.  I had replaced some of those parts in an amateur way a couple of years ago, and was glad to see his efficiency and professional demeanor.  When he finished, I was amazed at how easily I could raise and lower the door, which testifies to Bill's expertise in good measurements and lubrication of parts.  He had never seen such an ancient motor and chain-lift system as mine - it was built in the 1930s I suppose - but was not fazed by the technical difficulties posed by such a solid, heavy door and track.  I decided to schedule Precision Doors for work on my second door as well.

    When my garage door would not open in the morning, I thought it might be the remote battery. Upon going into the garage through the man door, I was appalled to see the entire opener system sitting on the roof of my car. John was available by phone as soon as I called and when I explained the situation, he arranged to come over as soon as possible. He arrived in 90 minutes, having come from a job in another county. He assessed the problem and was able to move the opener to allow me to get my car out. He then reinstalled it with additional fasteners. He was careful and thorough and explained what he was doing throughout. He adjusted the other parts of the opener system and recommended routine lubrication that I could do myself
    Because this was an emergency situation, I was charged the emergency service fee which made the cost more than a regular service call would be. This was the first time that I have used A-1 Door but would certainly call them again.
