    Kathy arrived promptly at our scheduled time and spent 2.5 hours on a full tuning. She also recommended adjustments of all loose keys since the piano was played quite often, all for a very reasonable fee compared to other tuners in town. The result was night and day when she finished - the piano sings once more, and I could not be happier with the quality and professionalism of Kathy. She's a true artisan and I will definitely call her back in 6 months for a follow up tuning.

    After he gave me the price it was made up in 5 or 6 days and we picked it up. I ended up sleeping on it myself rather than giving it to my company since it was so comfortable. I was very happy and it was wonderful.

    They agreed to honor the contract after we got our lawyer involved. We ended up waiting about 10 weeks from the day of the original contract to delivery. The delivery drivers were GREAT. They were not happy about holding up their end of the contract but they did. I will never do business with this company again due to the fact they are dishonest and treat you like you are the one who is wrong. I fought for what was right and won. Imagine how many didn't and got screwed....

    The piano tuning was good.  It took about 3 hours.  At the previous tuning, about 1 year prior, a broken string had been replaced, and it never really settled into its proper tuning.  After having my piano tuned by Stump it sounded much better although it was still a little out.  I would definitely use this company again.

    Kevin quoted me a price of $540 for the job (the fabric was an additional $419, which I paid in advance). A few days before he delivered the pieces, he advised that he had not ordered enough fabric and would need an additional $53+ to order fabric for two of the cushions. The day he delivered the loveseat, ottoman and two cushions, I paid him $540. That was moving day for me and I didn't have access to my checks so around Oct 2 or 3, I dropped off the $53+ check to him. Kevin had completed the big job in a little over a week; by contrast, he took over 3 weeks to finish two cushions. The second time I called to check on when they would be finished, Kevin advised me that I owed him for the two cushions. I told him I had already paid him for the entire job, and I had the receipt he had given me the day he delivered the loveseat, showing that the $540 covered the loveseat, ottoman and FOUR cushions, not two. He was insistent that I owed him more money. I called him the next day with the receipt in hand and offered to fax it to him. He said if that's what the receipt showed, he would let it go. The next day I met Kevin in his driveway to pick up the two cushions. He had his copy of the receipt in his hand and started telling me how it was not a receipt but an estimate. He then "went off" on me in a very hostile, hateful way, totally unprofessional way. I said, "Kevin, I paid you $540" - and, to my amazement, he said "No, you didn't." His parting words were "I'll never do work for you again." As if he gets to make that decision. This was the 4th time I had used Oakley Upholstery but, as good as Kevin's work may be, it is the last time I will ever use them. I'm still aghast that any vendor would treat a customer in this manner. In my humble opinion, the owner needs to keep Kevin away from customers.

    Mr. Hopman arrived a little late, after calling me and letting me know that his previous appointment had taken longer than expected.  He worked quickly and efficiently, and was also very friendly and conversational.  He was quite knowledgeable about his work.  He warned me that my piano, like many, is made with padding material on the hammers that will degrade over time, but that it's probably not going to be worth the cost to replace it.  It took him about 3 hours to tune the piano and replace the string.  His price was very generous.  Overall it was an excellent experience and I highly recommend Mr. Hopman for piano tuning and repair.

    We had initially contacted Smooth Moves at the suggestion of colleagues in the professional music industry. They moved our piano once before, and after having a very positive experience, we chose to hire them again. The same good things could be said for our second experience. The team responded promptly to my inquiry and was able to accommodate my move date. On the day of the move, they notified me when it looked like they were going to run behind schedule. Upon arrival, they were professional, courteous and thorough, handling our piano with great care. They even offered us a referral for a piano tuner.

    THE MATTRESS AND BOX SPRING WERE DEFECTIVE. WE LET THEM KNOW RIGHT AWAY. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD TO CALL BACK, STOP AT THE STORE, FILL OUT PAPERWORK TWICE-''IT'S PART OF THE PROCEDURE'', TALKED TO NUMEROUS PEOPLE WHO SAID, ''THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE HEARD ABOUT THIS''. THE ORIGINAL SALES PERSON NO LONGER WORKS THERE (HIS NAME WAS CB); WE WERE TOLD THE MANAGER NO LONGER WORKS THERE, THE PERSON WHO TOOK THE INFORMATION AT THE STORE DOES NOT WORK THERE ANYMORE; THOUGHT THE MATTER WAS RESOLVED. THE MANAGER, PAM, KNEW THE MATTRESS WOULD BE DELIVERED TO A NEW ADDRESS AND THE OLD MATTRESS PICKED UP LESS THAN 1/2 MILE AWAY. CAME TO DELIVER THE MATTRESS 5/5/05. THE DRIVER, WHO I FIND NO FAULT IN THIS AT ALL, CALLED THE WAREHOUSE MANAGER, AND HE SAID NO. I CALLED THE STORE AND WAS TOLD PAM WAS NOT IN THAT DAY, DISTRICT MANAGER WAS CALLED, THEY NOW AGREED TO REFUND WHICH TAKES 4 TO 6 WEEKS!!! JEFF, THE MANAGER OF THE DAY, SAID HE'D TRY TO RUSH IT.
