Rubber City Drywall has an amazing team! The job was done professionally, completely, neatly and in a timely manner. They showed up on time, got the job done and charged an affordable fee! I recommend these guys to anyone I know looking for this type of service(s) and will call them again on any new job that we may have coming up in the future!

The Village Craftsmen / Bath Planet of Northeastern Ohio crew was professional and responsive to our last minute changes to the design. Considering these unplanned structural changes, the crew was easy to work with and the extra cost seemed more than reasonable. We chose to replace the existing built-in linen cabinet and vanity with new Bertch hickory cabinets and matching light bar, a Kohler two-door medicine cabinet to replace the wall-inset mirror, and Invictus vinyl flooring, all from Hartville Hardware. This one-stop shopping made it really easy to match the color of our pre-existing tile to what would be our new flooring and cabinets. All of that was $4,400 of the total cost of the bathroom remodel. These decisions and cost were done outside of Village Craftsmen involvement, however the installation of these items was included in the initial Village Craftsmen estimate. The wet area is a Bath Planet design with a bathtub with removable section for stepping through, and a shower with a spray hose. There are many enclosure patterns to choose from, which are picked out of a catalog when getting the initial estimate from the Bath Planet representative who came to our home. We also chose oil-rubbed bronze Moen fixtures and grab bars (Brantford style) that give the bathroom a very sophisticated look. The work for the demolition of cabinets, bulkheads and flooring, and replacing of the drywall, was done expertly and quickly. The Village Craftsmen assessed the condition of legacy pipes, and water-damaged floor, and replaced what needed to be replaced as par for the course -- not cutting corners, but doing it right the first time. The total cost was an initial down payment of $5,100 and another $6,400 at the end of the eight-day job. We are not do-it-yourselfers by any means, so we were happy to put the work into the experienced hands of the Village Craftsmen crew, who did an excellent job remodeling our bathroom. We couldn't be happier with the result and believe it was well worth the cost.

The drywall is popping from nearly all the joints due to improper installation, the molding is peeling off after being glued on in 2 foot sections, and the tile floors are cracked and coming out due to improper subflooring (not level or installed correctly), grouting, uneven spacing and general poor installation. The tile he put in my upstairs bathroom shower is not level, was installed without spacers (the spacing is uneven as well), and the grout was not done correctly or sealed, so it molded and fell apart within months, literally falling out of the wall. The bathroom shower stall he installed in my basement leaks everywhere, and he cut my main floor joist in half to fit a pipe rather than relocating the pipe, something I haven't been able to afford to repair yet, which has made my house unsafe and the floor above the cut joist squeaky. The shower stall he installed had to be removed as it was leaking from the walls and pipes. Every electrical outlet he touched was messed up - half of them didn't have a working ground, and some were very loose. I had to pay a real electrician to re-wire every single one. It took him months longer than planned to complete the project as well. The quality of his work depends entirely on which sub contractor he hires to do your job on a day by day basis; sometimes he would send a worker home and attempt to (poorly) finish the job himself, like with my electrical outlets and drywall taping / finishing. He asked me for electrical tape a few times while working on lighting fixtures and outlets, then when I told him I didn't have any, he said it was ok as he didn't need it anyway. Everything he touched in my house fell apart within 6-12 months. His people utilized without my permission and broke several of my tools including a yellow floor light and some other various tools. His workers often left messes, and when all was said and done, the house was disgusting and caked with construction dust in every room and in the vents and furnace (as they left the AC on and let the vents circulate while drywalling, also costing me about $500 in furnace cleaning repairs immediately, and another $500 for vent cleaning I haven't been able to afford yet). His workers were not careful with my wood floors and damaged them with scratching by moving around dirt and construction material directly on the wood floors (not cleaning up and not taking off shoes or cleaning shoes or wearing shoe covers).

This is a hard working crew, very respectful of the customer's residence.  They cleaned up after themselves and worked pretty quickly.  An old house such as mine can be difficult to work on, but they seem to be good problem solvers.  They are returning in a few weeks to continue the job, and I have no reservations whatsoever about having them back.

The place looks great! It would have taken us forever to get all of this done!  Pete worked with us even when we changed our minds on the trim on the bathroom cabinet doors.  He was friendly, accommodating, pleasant, and very skillful.   We would recommend him to anyone, and many other family/friends have hired him per our word of mouth recommendation.  We have personally hired him on two different houses.

From the first phone call, Jerry was friendly and helpful.  He responded immediately and called back when he said he would.  He showed up right on time!  His work was thorough and very professional.  We were delighted at the work that he did which included trim work, patching drywall, installing new 6 panel doors, replacing electrical outlets, removing carpet, and replacing fawcets.  He is a jack of all trades!!  The price was very reasonable and the work was superb!!  Thank you, On Time Home Repair for making our lives so much easier and making our home so much more wonderful!

I left my work # (governmental agency in the next county), with no return phone calls, but I wasn't getting replies from a couple other drywall repair services either. Thought I would try one more time leaving the home #. He said he dropped his phone in a bucket of water, and lost his messages from a couple wks. prior! Glad I followed-up.

Aaron did start work on the day he said (just an hour or so later~not unusual for contractors, which I didn't mind). He said it could take 2 and and half days, but he was done working with a partner within a day and a half. Better to underpromise, and over deliver! Price as quoted. I did get a quote from another co. in between, but he only wanted to put up a board, and drywall in the spring.

I was impressed the first evening just to see the ceiling flat, where it had bowed out a couple inches! To me it could have been done, except to match the swirl pattern from 1964! But I still need to paint it. I need to find out what kind of paint I will need in the spring! Overall, good job!
