    Greystone Veterinary Hospital
This vet is only interested in ordering unnecessary tests and running up excessive charges. My 14 year old dog had a heart attack yesterday. He had been under her care for an enlarged heart since 7.2019 and on multiple medications. She did not recommend euthanasia and charged me $500 for unnecessary tests and more medications . He died from a heart attack at 4 am this morning at home. He suffered! All she wanted to do was rationalize her point of view like a broken record. Asked that money be refunded and was denied and had to pay for cremation. Never going back there.

They are the only ones we've ever used. They are professional and responsive. They let us say goodbye.

Big Creek Pet Hospital was fine. There was no problem. They were very knowledgeable of what they were doing.

    Paws Awhile
I called PAWS AWHILE on 11-8 and a real person answered the phone. When I explained the need to arrange for cremation services, she told me I could bring my pet any time between 10 and 5, Monday through Friday. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by Michelle and Joe. They took Lucy and laid her on her blanket on a clean table in the viewing room. The room was soothing and immaculately clean. Michelle stayed with me for qbout 25 minutes, speaking softly, asking me about Lucy, allowing me to grieve. She was very supportive. Then she took me in the office to show me how Lucy would be returned to me and, without me asking, told me that Lucy would be cremated alone and I would receive only her cremains. I could have a few days to decide what I wanted inscribed on the brass plate that would be on the wooded box holding Lucy's cremains. After we completed the required paperwork, I was allowed to visit my Lucy again with no rush to leave and hugs from Michelle when I did leave. Michelle called a few days later regarding the inscription and relayed that Lucy had been cremated and I could retrieve her the following day. When I returned, Michelle was again very supportive. She brought Lucy's cremains to me in a lovely polished wooden box with the inscription I had requested. She carefully removed the lovely blue pouch inscribed with and quot;In Loving Memoryand quot; to show me the polished wooden box with with the inscription I had requested and a little lock on the box accompanied by two small keys. Again, she allowed me time and did not rush me to leave. I was permitted to cry, offered tissues, and again given hugs before I left. Michelle and Joe were supportive and respectful when handling my Lucy. I could not have asked for better care for my little girl and will not hesitate to bring my little ones to them when the need arises again. Home Build Year does not apply but I was unable to submit this review with choosing a year. Please disregard.

They were so kind and professional. They provided me a cast paw print, a beautiful box containing his ashes with an engraving of his name. They were very compassionate when I turned over the body and cared for it as I would have. Highly recommend them!

    Paws Awhile
We knew that our dog was not doing well for about 2 months and we asked our veternarian about cremation. They suggested Paws Awhile in Richfield. Since we had never had any pets cremated before I called Paws Awhile several times to ask what services were available and what could we expect. The were always polite and patient and were willling to tell me exactly what was involved with the procedure. After talking with them several times we decided on a private cremation where our dog would be the only animal being cremated. After our dog was put down on 2/26 we called and set up an appointment for that Thursday at 9:00 AM. They picked the body up from the Vets office. When we arrived on Thursday we were greeted very warmly by Michele. She took us to a small viewing room where we given time to view our pet one last time. We then followed Michele to the crematory and watched as she put a small ID tag with the body and started the process. We then went back to the office where Michele asked us if we wanted anything else besides our dog's name on the metal plaque that would be affixed to the box we would receive. She said that we could come back around 1:00 PM that same day to pick up the remains which we did. We received a very nice wooden box with a brass plate with his name on it. We appreciated very much the kindness and patience with which we were treated during this difficult time.

They were very understanding, kind, and sympathetic. They even sent me a card. I really liked the way they handled things, and the price was fair.

    Eastside Dog & Cat Hospital
They did a beautiful job in a very detailed carved wooden box and announced to me. They even did a paw print on the plank and let me stay there for as long as I wanted. They are wonderful and don't overbook and I don't sit in the waiting room with a bunch of people. I love it. I feel they are a little bit expensive compared to other people but I feel they are worth every penny. They take good care of my dog.

    Big Creek Pet Hospital
We have used Big Creek since our dog was a puppy, so 8 1/2 years. For somethings I think they are a little more expensive but again, you are getting what you pay for. They fit you in when needed, and take care of your pet very well. The practice has 3 vets and many friendly and knowledgeable technicians. Our dog loves to greet everyone as soon as we walk in. The newer location in Olmsted Township is great too! Very convenient!

My elderly dog died at home and I didn't know what to do with his body.  I was in the process of rushing him to Akron Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital for an emergency ultrasound on a Friday night.  He died before I could get him in the car.  I called AMVH back and asked them what I should do.  They recommended that I bring his body there and that I could choose from a variety of companies and services.  I knew that I wanted private cremation services and chose Hummel.  I called the Hummel phone number around 11:30pm on a Friday night to contract with them and tell them my dogs remains were at AMVH. I left a message.  My phone call was promptly returned and I was told that his remains would be picked up the following morning.  Approximately one week later I returned to pick up the cremains at AMVH (or I could have picked them up at Hummel Pet Services as well).  I was presented with a sealed tin with the cremains, a plaster mold of his paw print and a lock of his fur.  I felt that they treated my pet with the love and dignity that I expected and needed.
