I couldn't be happier. As an above knee amputee (AKA), being able to work with a qualified prosthetist was one of the most important factors I worried about when making the decision to have my surgery. This is, out of necessity, an intimate, lifelong relationship. And it's important to "click" with that person. "My guy" and I clicked immediately. After two appointments, though, I learned he was only in the nearby office temporarily and was heading back to his home office, nearly an hour away. That didn't matter! I gladly make that trip as often as necessary. And because he works for Hanger, there was no paperwork or referral necessary for me to switch offices. Hanger worked with me the better part of two years without seeing a dime. They cannot bill a patient until the final "product" is delivered. In fact, Hanger lent me the basic components so I would at least have "a leg to stand on", literally! I could walk okay with it, but they knew there was a better option for me, and were willing to work with me until I reached a level of improvement at which the insurance company would approve the better components. I now, FINALLY!, have a great, Plié 3 microprocessor knee and graphite foot that makes it easier and, more important, safer for me to walk, on level and unlevel surfaces, up and down stairs, pretty much anywhere! I wouldn't have gotten this kind of attention from a small, local company. I knew with my medical history I'd be facing more barriers than a typical amputee. I knew I'd need to work with a company that had the resources to help me. I also knew working with Hanger would be important when I travel, as they have offices in all the cities I visit. If I need an adjustment or replacement part, it's just a phone call and short drive away, and I won't have to deal with referrals or insurance forms. I love to support small, local businesses, but when it comes to healthcare, and my complicated history, I stick with the big guys when I can. No matter what the personal cost. (I used to drive or fly from MA to D.C. to see my orthopedist!) I cannot recommend Hanger strongly enough. I hope you never have the need to see a prosthetist but many of you will need a splint, brace, or orthotic (shoe insert) and Hanger provides all those services as well. One of their VPs is the prosthetist who designed and fit a prosthetic tail fin for Winter, the dolphin who starred in a movie about her injury and his solution to help her swim. Disney made a movie about it, A Dolphin's Tale (or Tail, I don't remember which!). So if you or anybody you know needs the help of an orthotist or prosthetist, you cannot go wrong by using Hanger, the company founded by the first amputee casualty of the Civil War!

Excellent, I don't even know that I have the hearing aids in my ears and they are not easily seen by others unless they look hard for them. They have really improved my hearing especially in crowds or restaurants. The batteries for the hearing aids come as part of the price for the hearing aids last about one week and are easy to change. The aids let you know when they need to be changed.

    Digestive Disease Consultants of Medina
Dr Bashour was wonderful, he immediately put me at ease during the consultation. I had severe blood loss & was extremely weak.
I was scared, never having either procedure before. He explained everything that would happen in both procedures & the best part, I would be totally asleep, not twilight, but asleep. The staff is so professional, warm & caring. Once you''re there, all fear disappears. When I woke up, I didn't have any pain at all & was able to go on with my day. The procedures were on different days. The endoscopy first & a couple of weeks later the colonoscopy. The prep wasn't all that bad, but it was the worst of the whole ordeal. My fear kept me from having a colonoscopy, even after 2 doctors wanted me to have one. I wouldn't go anywhere else for either of those procedures.

    Debs, Dr. Michael E.
He is excellent.  His entire office staff is very friendly and great to deal with.  He also is friendly, has a great personality and puts you at ease.  The office is run very efficiently from returning phone calls to submitting prescriptions to pharmacies.  I will continue to see them in the future.

    State Road Family Practice
The best one is their nurse practitioner. She's spectacular. She's absolutely wonderful. She's very responsive. She's a good listener. We can always get in usually the same day or the next day. Sometimes, there is a wait. She's excellent when it comes to communication; some of the doctors are more like a "C". We've never had any issues with their billing and administration. We would definitely use them again.

    Cleveland Clinic
I think they are a pretty good organization. The other things that my wife like most about them is that they're on my system for contacting and working with the doctors so it's a very nice and easy way to do things. They've been very good. The office environment is clean and very nice.

    Southwest Family Physicians
I've been going to Dr. Karyn for about 5 years now as I didn't have a primary doctor. We went through quite a few of pills before finding the right combo for my hyper-tension. I would not think of going to anyone else! I've been recently diagnosed with T2 and we are working through it. She always answers my questions and takes the time to explain thing to me no matter how busy she is. The office is always crowded but they are friendly and try to move you along. Only negative thing I would say is their phone system is a pain to get through! Press this for this, this for that and if you wait too long it's disconnects very frustrating esp. if you're sick and need to see the doctor on call. Her husband Dr. Gus is also very good as I had to see him for a terrible flu I had several years ago. I ended up needing a steroid shot to open up my throat!!! I've also been there for poison ivy and needed a stronger cream as it was my first time getting it! I now have my Daughter and Husband going to Southwest.

Cleveland Clinic Independence Family Health Ctr
I love visiting Dr. Kirsh at Cleveland Clinic Independence--it is very convenient to I480 and I77. There is ample parking. The offices are gorgeous and they use My Chart. Dr. Kirsh was able to transmit an electronic prescription to my home pharmacy and it was ready when I arrived there 20 minutes later. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. I arrived early for my appointment and only had to wait about 10 minutes before I was seen by the doctor. Everything was very clean. The staff was very professional. Dr. Kirsh sees patients on Fridays at this location and does procedures I believe on Monday and Tuesday. He also goes to the main campus downtown.
I would recommend Dr. Brian M. Kirsh without hesitation as an outstanding doctor. He has a great sense of humor and he helps you relax. I have a high degree of trust in his skill and he is a very compassionate physician.

    McGarry, Dr. John J.
Being from out of town and noticing my foot was infected, I contacted Angie's List.  The gentleman I spoke with was extremely helpful and I was able to get a list of recommended Drs. in southern Denver.  I called Dr. McGarry's office and they fit me in that day.  I found all of his staff to be very professional, competent and cheerful.   Dr. McGarry, provided excellent care for me and his office followed up with me the next following the weekend.   I would go back to Dr. McGarry if I lived locally.  I was very satisfied.

    State Road Family Practice
The doctors are very good with the patients, and I like their philosophy of not pushing pills on people. Sometimes, the phone staff is a little difficult to deal with. They are a little old-fashioned in that I can only communicate with them over the telephone; they don't have any email accessibility, which I would like them to incorporate. I would continue to use them in the future; in fact, I am going to see them this afternoon.
