Drywall Repair reviews in North Ridgeville

I am delighted to have found Jaime Quality Home Improvements! He did a total rebuild of our wet bar in the family room and a remodel in the half bath. He did all building of the bar, flooring, installed lighting, wall coverings, electrical, plumbing, etc. His work and attention to detail are amazing. He thinks things through and finds the best solution, which I very much appreciated. He completed the projects in a timely fashion and was very fairly priced. I will use him for other projects I plan to do. I recommend him VERY HIGHLY. Great personality and great person! Thanks Jaime!

Jay and his co-worker are great. True professionals, and very nice people. You know immediately that he is well experienced, and knows what he is doing. Jay went out of his way to make sure we were pleased with the work performed, and completed on a timely basis. He is meticulous and does the job the correct way. He has an attention to detail, and a great eye for design. We would hire him again without hesitation. We added some services from the original estimate and he fairly priced the additions. Best experience we've every had with a contractor.

Brian and his crew were prompt, courteous and professional. They went above and beyond to make unrelated repairs when they noticed the garage door supports were not attached firmly to the trusses. They did a great job and I will hire them again when needed.

The first week in my home Mendco threw out my personal family photos behind my house in the rain and snow. I found them a month later. I was missing guns and many many other items. Most of the items in my house were new and only needed cleaning. They destroyed many of the things I owned or never returned them. They had total disrespect for my home and property. Although I had a working hose outside I found them washing their paint brushes in a new bathroom sink and using a new tub to clean their mop buckets. I live on a small farm with a large front yard. Their supervisor had a four wheeler and used my front yard to spin around in it when it was wet and still snow on the ground. I found out later after they had damaged and never returned my most precious things that they operate their business illegally deceiving both me and the insurance company. Mendco is required to obtain a building permit and the owner told me I would know their work was done correctly when the building dept. inspected it. I learned later they hadn't obtained a building permit in my city since 2003 and there was no evidence that they were bonded or insured. Items that left in good shape to be cleaned in their warehouse were destroyed dismantled or were missing such as firearms. The only picture that I had of my best friend who had died had been hanging on a wall was never returned to me. I told the owner I would not cosign the insurance check until they found that picture. It was valuable to me. Instead of locating the picture the owner sent a man over to block my vehicle in my drive with the companies box truck and held me against my will threatening me. I am small and older. They learned back when I discovered they had threw all my photos outside that all my friends had recently died and I had no family. They knew I was alone in the world and took great advantage of it. I could hear the owner over his employees cell phone instructing him to keep me in my home and to threaten me into signing a paper. I refused to sign and the ordeal of being threatened went on 40 min. The owners wife showed up and arrogantly told me there was small print in the contract that I did not know about further trying to intimidate me.. My opinion is that the owners of Mendco are evil. I caught them in many lies. If they come to your house to try and get a contract call the police and don't let them in.

Everything went ok at first; the guys were unable to come back on a Saturday as expected to finish the job, and because they couldn't find our number they drove all the way to our house just to tell us they'd be back Monday rather than leave us wondering. So that was great, really nice. However, (and maybe this is a lesson for us in making sure that cleanup is really done right and that everything is put back the way it was rather than assuming that your contractor will do that....although that's how I would do a job, as that's how I'd like to be treated by service providers) the guys removed a washer drain hose from the utility sink in our laundry room to use the sink to get water, do clean up, etc., and didn't put the hose back when they were done. We didn't notice it, and our first load of laundry that we did after they left meant a washer full of water drained all over our laundry/utility room instead of in the sink where it should, leaving us with a nasty surprise and some drenched home repair supplies (brushes, rollers, etc.) that will hopefully dry out and remain usable. Could have been worse, but not what we expected from someone with an 'A' grade and a super service award.

Showed up on time for bid appointment took up an hour of my time said he would get bid back to me within 10 days......never got a bid, emailed, he said he would follow up. "His secretary was off"; next excuse "I'll have to see where that went", next excuse 4 weeks later after I called and asked again where it was....oh I'll send it now. He never sent - I talked with him told him not to bother 6 weeks later. Finally sends after my agitation, he's $20K higher than others.DO NOT USE THEM.

Well I looked at the reviews on Angie's list and felt he might be a good fit for my project. I guess I will never know. I called on July 27 and asked for an appointment to get an estimate. I was told it wouldn't happen until August 9 th. I wanted it earlier but I figured he might be worth the wait. I was called on August 8 th to be reminded of my appointment. I said I would be there. The appointment was for 1000 am. 1000am comes and goes. 1020 am I call the office and leave voice mail. I get a return call at 1110 am saying he had a family emergency and he was sorry could he come over tomorrow. I said ok. He said how does 900 am sound? I said ok see you then. Well it's 940 am now and no call no show! How does this guy stay in business???!! I have seen other people with the same problem. I like to give jobs to local people but ones that at least show up for their appointments!

Arrived on time the date the work was scheduled. Checked the areas of concern and before performing the work set the expectation this helped me understand what to expect. Once he got started on the repairs he used drop cloths and plastic to cover areas that may be impacted by dust and plaster.
As the work progressed he allowed me to do some inspections and again explained what to expect when the plaster dried. He also made some recommendations on type of paint to use for priming. Upon completion I was not able to tell anyone had done any work. It looked great and he area was just as clean as when he arrived.

We needed to have a bedroom ceiling replaced and some work on cracked walls on our stairway.  We live in an old house that needs a lot of work.   Brian came and gave us an estimate and worked us in right away.  They showed up right on time all 3 times they came to my home.  He even worked around my schedule.  All work was completed very quickly.  All messes were cleaned up.  The ceiling and walls look beautiful and I will be using him again in a couple of weeks to complete work in another room.
