Tip of the Tail Grooming Salon
They are extremely patient with my older dog who is 15 years old. He now has a big problem with anyone touching his face and paws. They do an outstanding job of moving slow and grooming his face and legs. We have been going here for 14 years. There is a new owner who is very nice. The reason I gave a "c" for responsiveness was that I had to cal 4 times before being able to schedule an appointment. May have been just a glitch this time but you may need to call back to get in touch with them.

    PETSMART
My first (and last) experience with the North Olmsted Grooming Salon was HORRIBLE. I will never take my dog there again. The groomer (Amanda) wasn't very friendly and not very professional in my opinion. Right off, she told me she was going to have to charge me for a full size dog hair cut but she didn't tell me how much more that was going to be. I have a four month old Schnoole that I wanted one inch of hair trimmed - not shaved. The online cost of services totaled $33.99, however the end result was a charge of $85. It included a $7 fee because my 15 pound puppy, who never has been to a groomer, gave her a difficult time. When the bill and my puppy were delivered, she had no bows or neck scarf that was included with the grooming. When I asked where they were, Amanda said she only provides if asked. The package offered by Petsmart clearly stated you get one or the other...not ask for one or the other. Amanda provided the following notes on today's visit: Puppy was not a fan of grooming today. (No kidding, it was her first time!). She thought it was too much, too fast. (Perhaps when checking in they should have said it wasn't a good idea!). Amanda recommended that we work with her at home. (I'm not a groomer but I do brush and comb my dog daily and have given her baths - she loves the water at home!) Amanda went on to say that the price I was charged was a reflection of the puppy's behavior and that grooming would be more for her if she remains "unruly"....(Did I mention she is a four month old puppy and this was her very first grooming experience!?!). I will NEVER take my puppy/dog back to this horrible place.

    Paws & Effect
They are always on time. My dog has some physical disabilities. They are very gentle with  her and take their time. I can tell she doesn't mind going because when I drop her off, she willingly goes into Jason's arms. They were recommended to me by my vet. I wouldn't trust Mala with anyone else.

    DESIGNER DOGGIES
It went extremely well. I was given a finish time and received a phone call to let me know they were finishing a little early and that I could pick my dogs up at anytime. While I was putting my one dog in the car, they walked my other dog to allow him to do his business before I put him in the car. They are really great there.

    Paws & Effect
I have a small dog (5 lbs poodle) with a herniated disc in her back. She is difficult to groom because she cannot stand up straight and she lays down when she is groomed.
I first went to Paws and Effects because my vet recommended them. Jason and his team were able to groom her in spite of her special needs. She willingly went to Jason when I dropped her off which tells me that she is comfortable with him. She doesn't go to just anyone. She came home with the most adorable pink ribbons in her hair.
I am so glad that they took the time to accommodate her special needs.

Tip of the Tail Grooming Salon
MY 3 LB. POODLE DIED IN JANUARY AND WE ALWAYS TOOK HER TO TIP OF THE TAIL FOR GROOMING. WE ADOPTED A 6 YR OLD YORKIE IN MARCH, 2012, AND HAVE BEEN SOOOOO HAPPY WITH OUR EXPERIENCESTHERE THAT WE CONTINUED TO USE TIP OF THE TAIL FOR OUR YORKIE. THE 5 LB. YORKIE HAD A LONG HAIRCUT AND WE WERE VERY APPREHENSIVE ABOUT WHAT SHE WOULD LOOK LIKE SOMEWHAT SHORTER -DENISE THE OWNER WAS SOOOO SWEET AT EXPLAINING WHAT SHE COULD DO TO MAKE OUR LITTLE ONE LOOKMUCH BETTER. THE HAIR AROUND HER NOSE AND EYES WAS HARD TO KEEP GROOMED AND COMBED.WE WERE TOTALLY AMAZED AT HOW EXCELLENT SHE LOOKED WHEN WE PICKED HER UP!!! DENISE HAD USED AGOOD CONDITIONER ON HER COAT WHICH SHE EXPLAINED SHE KEPT ON FOR 10 MINUTES OR SO. HER HAIR WASSO SILKY SOFT.!! ANOTHER THING WE LOVE ABOUT THIS SHOP IS THAT THEY BRUSH THE DOG'S TEETH AND HAVEA BLUE LIQUID IN A SQUIRT BOTTLE THAT YOU USE EACH DAY IN THE MOUTH TO HELP R***** THE TARTER ANDHELPS BREATH ALSO. I USUALLY HAVE 2 BOTTLES - ONE FOR EACH FLOOR - SO THAT I CAN USE IT EASILYWHEN DOG IS ON MY LAP ON ANY FLOOR. THIS WAY I AM LESS LIKEY TO FORGET DOING IT ON A DAILY BASIS.IT IS SOOOO COSTLY TO HAVE TEETH CLEANED AT THE VET - SO THIS CAN PROLONG IT FOR A GREAT WHILE.STAFF IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND ON TIME. THEY HAVE EVENING HOURS ALSO.WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM AS ALWAYS HAVE FOR YEARS!!

Tip of the Tail Grooming Salon
I have been going here for a number of years. They are very compassionate with the animals. Every time I go in there they are on time and very friendly. They give you tips on keeping the dog groomed between appointments. On top of all their great customer service, they even pick up your animals if for any reason you can't drive there. They have a very reasonable price as well. I have been to many dog groomers over the years, and this one tops them all.

    DOO THE DOG
We had our dog's nails clipped here.  The gentleman that performed the clipping was very rough with our 12lb Dachshund.  Several times he yanked and lifted our dog up by the noose, nearly strangling him. This was completely unnecessary, uncalled for and completely unprofessional for someone who professes to be a pet lover.  There is no doubt that this visit is the reason that our dog has social anxiety to this day.   Since this visit he is nervous about leaving the house and being around the public.  All behaviors he previously did NOT exhibit. This happened to the first of our 3 dogs there to get their nails done.  His treatment of our first dog was so terrible that I immediately ended it and removed my dog from his table.  Needless to say our two remaining dogs were never exposed to this monster's treatment.  Our dogs are our children, and after he treated my dog so horribly he should thank his lucky stars he is an older gentleman or he would have ended up being treated equally horribly by me.

    GONE TO THE DOGS INC
I use Gone To as a "self serve" dog wash. The girls there are a LOT of help, my dog Pete just doesn't want to go in and plays dead dog on their sidewalk. Someone there is always willing to come help me actually drag him into the establishment and get him into the tubs. Once he's in there, it's fairly a quick bath. They provide soap (face and body), towels and even a blow dryer if you can convince your buddy that it's really harmless. They do offer other services, such as nails and grooming, but we get it done pretty quick. They are marvelous and extremely helpful for stinky dogs. I can't recommend them enough and have given their business cards to all my dog friends. NO RATS! NO CATS! NO FERRETS! NO PARROTS! JUST DOGS!
