Foundation Repair reviews in Newark

Estimator crew were very detailed and explained repair they were recommending in detail. Repair crew arrived and introduced themselves, boot covers were used when they came into house. Crew explained the repairs in detail before starting. Walkways were covered with a heavy plastic to protect carpet and wood work. Repairs were completed-everything was completed with attention to detail. Excellent cleanup by repair crew. All debris was removed and taken away by crew. I am very satisfied with this companies employees and their work.

Great! We got an appraiser first and his estimate to repair was so much less than we feared. This was also our first poured concrete basement; the other two were cinder blocks and the leaks were worse. We accepted this first quote, because they had already come highly recommended by Angie's List and we were eager to get this repair done. We were able to schedule the repair within a week, the contractor/installer arrived exactly as scheduled, and the work was done within one day. Quite pleased!

The salesman was very good and professional. We liked him and what he said about our problem and how they could fix it. The lifetime warranty and guarantee to fix the water problem was what we really liked. The crew showed on schedule and completed the work on time. But that is where the problems started. The backup battery and pump which was installed had a line which the joint did not seal. The first time it rained and the pump turned on the joint came apart and water sprayed into the family room. Fortunately I was working in office downstairs and heard the water and immediately turned the pump off. Had I not been there we would have had a much worse situation. During this time we noticed the water situation which they were supposed to fix got worse. When we called the service manager he immediately began to lawyer up. He told us they did no work in the house and this was not due to their work. All I wanted was my problem fixed as I was guaranteed. They have been to my house 3 times to follow up and try to fix the problem and it still is an issue. Every time I called the service manager was a rude and inconsiderate.....individual (to be polite). It has been a year since they first came to do work on the house, and guess what I received in the mail today. My lifetime warranty, which requires an annual payment. Make sure you read the fine print on this one.

I have had another contractor at the house and I think we may have a fix for my problem, which could have been done without the extensive payments to Everydry. The problem is something minimal which they never addressed. I would be cautious of using this company and before you buy, just call the service manager and talk to him about coming out to fix something they did. You'll definitely not use them after that discussion.

2015 update: Finally fixed my basement water problems. After consulting with other contractors and individuals; the water in the basement was clear fresh water which was probably not coming from the walls and foundation. What we discovered was the water was coming through the support beams along the ceiling near the walls. I spent 100 dollars on materials and sealed the outside supports. I have had no further issues with water in the basement. Thanks for the expensive lesson Everdry; don't believe a so called expert and his guarantee.

The new look is stunning!  This is a small space which makes it difficult to work on, but Mike worked his magic and the new look is structurally sound AND beautiful:  a winning combination!  I especially appreciated Mike's flexibility.  My house was a "House of the Future"...in the 1950s when it was built.  Hence the galvanized pipes that initiated my contact with the Right Handyman.  They had corroded and had to be replaced:  not an easy fix because my ranch does not have traditional plumbing.  Most of it runs up in the attic and down some walls.  That makes for some interesting problems to address---and Mike never missed a beat.  The small bathroom was totally transformed:  new floor, new sink and cabinet, a fresh paint job, and best of all, the problems were addressed with sound solutions!

I especially appreciated Mike's cheerful demeanor when "a new wrinkle" presented itself:  he came up with viable solutions every single time.  It was also good to know that I could leave my home in his capable hands when I had errands come up.  I heard about him from multiple sources who had used his services and all accounts were the same:  expertise, honesty, and trustworthiness.  As a single, older woman who is "mechanically challenged", I particularly value this combination.  Mike is a straight shooter who told me my options from the get-go.  He consulted me about every step of the design in the bathroom prior to making the purchases and we shared info via text pics for making some of the choices:  a real time-saver!  We discussed price range and he never pressured me on any purchase:  another trait I really appreciated.  Replacing the pipes was a major undertaking, but nothing really "showed" (aside from the improvement in water pressure).

It was necessary to do, but not gratifying.  The bathroom remodeling was also necessary due to the water leaking, but it has been a daily source of enjoyment.  The paint job is immaculate and "spot on" and the cabinets and sink and even the new faucets are just the right complement to the room.  Small spaces are challenging, but the Right Handyman knew just how to handle those challenges and then some!  I would highly recommend this company!

My overall experience with Rising Height has been very positive. I have been very satisfied with their performance. They first did some interior remodeling for me in March of 2009 which consisted of knocking out an old plaster ceiling and replacing it with dry wall. They also did dry wall and replastering work in several rooms of my home. The work was excellent and the rooms look brand new( the house is 120 years old).
They have also installed fencing-a 6 foot privacy fence and a 4 foot chain-link. They replaced gutters and down spouts, installed an outside light, installed two ceiling fans, replaced foundation blocks and installed a new front door and door frame.
They have also replaced all the plumbing and drains in my house.
These jobs were accomplished over a period of three years, from March of 2009 to February of 2012. The work was always done in a timely fashion and I have always been satisfied with the quality and end result. The estimates have been good and the prices always fair.
I will use Rising Height for future work and I strongly recommend them for just about anything that needs to be done.
