  • We couldn’t be more pleased with our new kitchen. From start to finish it was relatively painless. The crews were friendly and professional. They took care not to damage existing surfaces and cleaned up daily. Nadia’s design plus the craftsmanship of the products were perfect for our needs. We’re thrilled with our experience and plan to use them for bathroom remodels.

  • By far the worst experience we’ve ever had with any type of service! We had to manage the project with phone calls and meetings every single day. We were told it would be done in 30 days, at 60 days we were laughed at and told it would be done in a week. From start to finish it took 3.5 months! And even when it was “finished” there were touch ups that still needed done, there was no final walk through, and the mess that was left behind was atrocious. We had drywall dust and mud everywhere - including our antique pool table that they used as their table for tools, drinks, trash, and whatever else they felt like piling on. They only put a drop cloth over it after we asked. I would NEVER EVER recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

  • We broke a stair tread in the basement and needed it replaced. Thinking it wouldnt be anymore then $130 to replace this and saw the name "Affordable" I thought I would ask. $200-$400 to nail down a piece of wood that cost me $10 is hardly affordable. The response was "Its my time that's valuable to me." I get that, but geez, for a piece of wood? Watching some videos on Youtube, buying a power saw (I need it anyway, just putting it off) and some paint, I had it done for less then $100 in less then an hour. Guess it depends on what "Affordable" is. Guess if you have money to throw around but I really dont.

  • The new look is stunning!  This is a small space which makes it difficult to work on, but Mike worked his magic and the new look is structurally sound AND beautiful:  a winning combination!  I especially appreciated Mike's flexibility.  My house was a "House of the Future" the 1950s when it was built.  Hence the galvanized pipes that initiated my contact with the Right Handyman.  They had corroded and had to be replaced:  not an easy fix because my ranch does not have traditional plumbing.  Most of it runs up in the attic and down some walls.  That makes for some interesting problems to address---and Mike never missed a beat.  The small bathroom was totally transformed:  new floor, new sink and cabinet, a fresh paint job, and best of all, the problems were addressed with sound solutions!

I especially appreciated Mike's cheerful demeanor when "a new wrinkle" presented itself:  he came up with viable solutions every single time.  It was also good to know that I could leave my home in his capable hands when I had errands come up.  I heard about him from multiple sources who had used his services and all accounts were the same:  expertise, honesty, and trustworthiness.  As a single, older woman who is "mechanically challenged", I particularly value this combination.  Mike is a straight shooter who told me my options from the get-go.  He consulted me about every step of the design in the bathroom prior to making the purchases and we shared info via text pics for making some of the choices:  a real time-saver!  We discussed price range and he never pressured me on any purchase:  another trait I really appreciated.  Replacing the pipes was a major undertaking, but nothing really "showed" (aside from the improvement in water pressure).

It was necessary to do, but not gratifying.  The bathroom remodeling was also necessary due to the water leaking, but it has been a daily source of enjoyment.  The paint job is immaculate and "spot on" and the cabinets and sink and even the new faucets are just the right complement to the room.  Small spaces are challenging, but the Right Handyman knew just how to handle those challenges and then some!  I would highly recommend this company!

  • We originally spoke with Mark. He was very helpful in educating us as to what would be our best options for our needs. He came to measure and assured us that the new flooring could be installed over the old. We choose the flooring and a date, but no time, was set for installation.
Mark called shortly before to ask if we could change the date to a day earlier as he thought the job may take more than one day. Although we had to juggle our schedules around...we agreed. When we asked what time they would arrive...Mark wasn't sure and couldn't give us a time. This was really inconvenient for us. We had things to do before they arrived, such as move furniture, clean under appliances etc. As a result we were up really early trying to get things ready for the install. They have to realize that people take off work and reschedule appointments to be home for this.
They 2 installers arrived a bit after 9AM. They had a look around and determined that the old floor would need to be removed before installing the new. cleaning was done for nothing. We weren't too happy about that either....simply because we could have done things differently had we known in advance. These are things Mark should have told us when he came to measure/look at the job. It would've made it a lot easier for us.
The installers were great, fast, clean...they knew their stuff. They even helped us move some of the furniture...which wasn't part of the job. They finished by 4PM...hardly a 2 day job.
In our opinion the sales people should stick to sales and let the installers measure/evaluate the job. It might save some confusion and hassle for everyone.
The floor is gorgeous and the installers did an excellent job. Would we buy from them again? Yes.The end result is absolutely beautiful and worth a little bit of annoyance.

  • My overall experience with Rising Height has been very positive. I have been very satisfied with their performance. They first did some interior remodeling for me in March of 2009 which consisted of knocking out an old plaster ceiling and replacing it with dry wall. They also did dry wall and replastering work in several rooms of my home. The work was excellent and the rooms look brand new( the house is 120 years old).
They have also installed fencing-a 6 foot privacy fence and a 4 foot chain-link. They replaced gutters and down spouts, installed an outside light, installed two ceiling fans, replaced foundation blocks and installed a new front door and door frame.
They have also replaced all the plumbing and drains in my house.
These jobs were accomplished over a period of three years, from March of 2009 to February of 2012. The work was always done in a timely fashion and I have always been satisfied with the quality and end result. The estimates have been good and the prices always fair.
I will use Rising Height for future work and I strongly recommend them for just about anything that needs to be done.

  • Not only is Larry the BEST TILE MAN in Licking County, he also does complete bathroom renovations. He started working construction with his father for over 20+ years. He's definitely a craftsman!
Results were IMPRESSIVE!!! Larry was on time everyday, cleaned up after himself everyday and when completed, it looked OUTSTANDING!   Daily updates on progress. He answered any and all questions with honest answers.
DO:  Schedule well in advance and for a specific date.  Allow for some changes as he is a quite "in demand craftsman".  Be patient.  If you needed it yesterday, then Larry may not be able to help you.
DO:  Ask for and get a DETAILED statement of work.  This protects you and your contractor.
DON'T:  Add on a bunch small details during your project as it will slow its completion and extend the project end date.
DO:  BEFORE the project starts, during the estimate discussion, bring up any concerns you have going in.  Ask about the subcontractors.  If you don't like the subs, provide acceptable/suitable replacement sub-contractors.

  • Process went well, floors are great.  I do wish the pricing were more obvious at the store, but our sales person Bill was helpful and more than willing to figure out comparable prices.  Installers were quite good and so far we've had not issues...may have to call back about a seam showing in one area of the carpet, but overal one slight seam in the whole installation is minor.  The installers moved everything that needed to be moved, they took away all the old flooring, and vacuumed/swept up afterwards, we were very impressed by their work.

  • We were called the day before he was coming out, on a Sunday evening.  He advised he would be onsite with us at 9:00ish on Monday morning.  Larry arrived as promised and started to work.  He removed the crumbling grout, removed loose tiles, taking care not to break a single tile! (we had spares, but didn't need them).  He showed us why the tiles came loose (not set properly into the thinset).  He removed the old thinset, rescrewed down the cement board flooring, and reinstalled the tiles.  A key point I noticed was that he not only trowled the thinset onto the floor boards, but also buttered the back of the tiles (something I think Church St Flooring did NOT do as the backs of the loose tiles showed NO thinset adhession).
Larry went the extra mile and marked off the reparied tiles with blue tape so that we could cautiously re-enter kitchen area.

He said he would be back the next day between 9/9:30AM, and sure enough, there he was.  He regrouted the repair tile floor using an addittive to the grout that also acted as a sealer so that we would not have to apply a sealer later.
He cleaned up the work area and left no mess behind.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MAN FOR TILE WORK.  The only downside was the lead time to start the project.  He does communicate this at the beginning, but we had to call him a couple of times to check on the schedule.  Area for improvement, but it is understandable when you are as good as he is.  A true craftsman.
He also does bathroom remodels (soup to nuts) and we are getting an estimate for that project.
    - Douglas O.
  • He was timely in response and was able to quote the estimate in a day.  He was professional and courteous and always clean when entering my home.  He left work sites clean amd kept all of his tools and materials put away which is important with my small children.  The work was completed very quickly and is excellent craftsmanship.  He is a 12 out of 10 any day.  I love the apperance of my home now that the work is completed, it feels like a whole new house.
