    When I first called they were very accommodating and said I could bring my truck in after hours if I needed to.  They said they would look at it and call with an estimate before performing any work.  They called me the next morning, gave me the price, I said go, and they called back an hour later and said it was ready.

    MONRO MUFFLER BRAKE & SVC
    Instead of replacing the whole unit because of a rusted flange, and because of the cost of doing so, I looked for other options on the internet. They complied and performed the suggested service, removing the flange and connecting the two pieces with a sleeve. With a cost of $40 later instead of $400, they repaired what was necessary to stop the muffler unit from making the loud noise.

    I have been taking all of my cars to this shop for over 10 years.  I like the fact that if it doesn't need something at the particuliar time, they are honest and say so. (ie:  I took it in because the brakes were making noises and they didn't just replace the brakes.  They told me I still had abouut 30% brake usage yet and scheduled it for a few months later.)  They are always very courteous, informative and compatible.  There pricing is very fair.  I am in business and know how hard it is to plese some people, but A&M go out of their way to do so.

    The brake lines went out on my car. When I took it in, they test drove it and found some more brake issues. They couldn't find any replacement parts for it since my vehicle is old. They patched them for me, and I have not had any problems since. I have bought three vehicles from them so far. They stand by their work. Even when mistakes have come up, they have fixed them without any hassle.

    "Fank" from Mobile Mechanics was hired to come to my home and repalce the brakes on my car.  Once the work began it was discovered the emergency brake also needed replaced and he was given the go-ahead to make that repair as well.  The work on the brakes began in mid November 2011 and now after mid February 2011 and the repair on the emergency brake has not been completed as the brake will not engage as required.  "Frank" has been contacted on a number of occasions and responded to phone inquires.  He has even set times to come and complete the repair.   However, each time appointments have been made, he has failed to show up and make the repair even though he has been paid for making the repairs to brakes, to include the emergency brake.  The holidays are over and conditions have allowed for the repair to have been completed.

    My husband called to inquire about the car, as we had been shopping around for used Avalons and the price was incredible for the low mileage. The dealership is 120 miles from our home, and it was Good Friday, but the salesman offered to stay and wait for us even though it was his day off because this car was so fantastic and he was sure we would buy it. He was moderately friendly when we showed up, and offered me the key to check it out, but seemed slightly put off when I wanted to drive it. He gave me directions for the test drive, as I was unfamiliar with the area, and I went with a friend we had brought along because of his mechanical knowledge while my husband stayed behind with our 6 month old baby. The car drove nicely, and I had nothing negative to say about it, but I did get lost for a few minutes. My husband called to tell me that the salesman was upset that we were taking so long, which I found odd but chose to ignore. When I got back and my husband asked to test drive it as well, the salesman seemed even more agitated, and he was far from friendly while I waited for my husband to come back. I asked about warranties, and he could only offer a second party warranty for $150 for 3 months. As this warranty would only cover engine malfunctions, I declined. I asked to see the CarFax and he scoffed at me for asking for a report on a car with 20,000 miles, but complied. He looked through it himself and said "Oh, everything is fine" but wouldn't hand it over until my husband insisted. When we questioned the second owner he told us it was the son of the original owner. I was suspicious throughout our interaction, but my husband insisted that we would never find a better deal, so we purchased the car. Within 3 hours, the check engine light came on. When I took it to be checked out, the mechanic told me that it appeared that the battery had been unplugged over night so that the check engine light would stay off for some time, explaining the salesman's agitation at the amount of driving we did. I don't have a verdict yet on what all is wrong with the car, but the overall experience was terrible and I would never buy from this dealer again.
