    CONNER & KOCH FUNERAL HOME
I truly cannot say enough good things about Conner and Koch Funeral Home.  They performed a Celebration of Life Service for my Dad.  It was amazing the details they put into the visitation and service.  They asked us Dad's favorite food, music, hobbies.  Dad was incorporated throughout the entire facility from Dad's tractor parked outside the entrance, to the giant picture collage that hung on the wall as you entered the front door, to guests enjoying butter pecan ice cream and Snickers (Dad's favorite snacks) as they waited to greet the family.  They very much lightened the mood and celebrated Dad in every way possible.  There was nothing we mentioned that Brian didn't try to find a way to make it happen.  Amazing and incredible!!!

    THOMAS FUNERAL HOME
I had a good experience with them. They answered all our questions and they set up a plan within the limited budget and restraints that we had and also came up with suggestions and recommendations for access about the funeral home.

    Newcomer Funeral Home
Other funeral homes were unable to give quick time around and for cremation, there may be only one other choice in town other than this company's Kettering facility (others may be outsourcing to two locations in town). Roger Thomas (Director of their Needmore Road location) took care of paperwork, requiring doctor's report and county permission on the same day (he personally drove at the needed places). His work was extraordinary. Personnel at Kettering location did their job perfectly well too.

Baker Hazel & Snider Funeral Home
We called after searching Angie's List for a funeral home in the Dayton area. We drove to Dayton, called BH&S and got an appointment that afternoon. We met with Abby Snider and she was amazing:  sensitive, respectful, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. None of us had arranged a cremation and we couldn't have done it without her. The cremation itself was just under $1200, which we thought was very reasonable. They kept us informed and were available to answer any questions that we had. No one tried to upsell or talk us into anything. They were only there to help and provide the services we wanted. It was a difficult event and BH&S made it easier for us to handle.

    BELTON FUNERAL HOME
Father in Law passed away and had requested we not use the home he did for his wife and daughter, so we chose Belton-Stroup. Such a big difference working with Belton Stroup over the last funeral home in fairborn we'd used just 6 months earlier and they weren't anymore expensive. Belton-Stroup took care of everything, explained everything and were very professional. They paid attention to the littlest details... My father in law had been ill and they worked wonders with him for the viewing. You could tell they had gone from one of the photos we provided to be set out at the viewing, they just got him to look so like 'himself' again. Wanted one picture frame set out for viewing, another to replace it before burial and it was all done. Seems insignificant, but when you are so stressed it was such a blessing to have worked with John & Susan at Belton-Stroup! When nursing staff was calling the funeral home for us after he had passed at home in the middle of the night, she commented that she would get an answering service and was shocked when the funeral home owner, John answered in person. John also came to get my father in law, within 30 minutes. John's wife Sue is a wiz with insurance companies and helped us get through the mounds of paperwork with the policy, even ones that weren't involved in payments to them. Did an awesome job writing the obituary, the last company didn't help us with that. It's hard to say they made the experience delightful, but they did an A++ job and I HIGHLY recommend them.

I had their services on late May. We did prepaid and my Mother, long ago also used prepaid so it was very smooth. Their price was very reasonable.

Baker Hazel & Snider Funeral Home
They picked up very quickly after they were called. We met at their office the next morning to discuss our needs, which was direct cremation. The funeral director, Rick Snider, was very compassionate, professional and to our amazement, didn't try to upsell us on any frills or upgrade (we had prepared ourselves for that). We wanted direct cremation with nothing else and we were accorded the same level of respect and kindness as we assume others who spent many thousands more. Their prices were the best by far for direct cremation (due to their own attached crematory on site) and we had checked at a few area funeral homes. They took care of the death notice, paperwork and certificates very quickly and efficiently and everything was ready on time. When we went to pick up, the ashes were contained very nicely in a box with a nice engraved brass tag on it. The box was treated very respectfully and we were very grateful for that. Nice honest people. Still family-owned and local. Highly recommend them.
