    DS Services

We had service with this company in Ohio for almost 4 years. The service was always undependable, we rarely had the same driver (sometimes they would tell us there was no driver for our route), sometimes the driver would say not to call the office, but call him directly, which made the service feel sketchy. The delivery dates would not be consistent, so we would often accumulate too many bottles of water, last winter, we had so many that we had to store them in the garage and several froze and I lost $16 dollars per bottle ($10 for the water and $6 for the bottle).

Fast forward to this summer. Again, the delivery dates were inconsistent so we accumulate up to 8 bottles of water again. I called the office and asked them not to deliver, just pick up empties, it never worked, they always left more water. I called again and asked them to now come back and pick up full, b/c I just had too many, with winter coming on.  They were always very nice on the phone and would tell me 'yes' to every thing I asked. I would put the empties out b/c they would tell me they would pick them up on a certain day, no one would show. I would call back, etc. and this same story would play out week after week. The final straw was a couple of weeks ago, they were supposed to call me during the week to let me know what day they would pick up the 8 bottles. No call, but they did just show up and left 3 more bottles. So I now had 11.   I called them this time to cancel the account, asked them to pick up the 11 bottles and give me full credit. They said they could only give me deposit credit - I protested and asked them to explain to me why I am responsible for paying for their mistakes. They told me they would make an exception this time and give me full credit and that they would call me during the week to let me know what night to put out all eleven bottles. Surprise, no calls. So I called Thursday, they said 'sorry, we will pick them up today.' I got them out, they picked all 11 up. Today I saw a $48 dollar credit.  I called today, spoke a very nice representative again, explained this whole scenario for at least the 5th time, put on hold, call dropped, called back. I demanded a supervisor explain why I am responsible for paying for their continued incompetence and over-deliveries. They agreed to give me another $20 credit, bringing the total to $68, or $108 short. I paid for water that they over-delivered and finally picked up. Lots of nice people and apologies, but no respect for owning their mistakes financially and for a customer of almost 4 years.

I have since gone online, ordered 3 bottles of water to be delivered from Nestle. It showed up on time, the driver asked where I would like the bottles dropped in the future. The account is 100% manage-able on line. So far so good.

Unless you like headaches, I would advise you never work with DS Water in Columbus, Water.com.  And all the very nice telephone reps there should seek employment elsewhere - because they are all very nice and I feel very bad that they work for a company that is so inept. It has to be frustrating for them.
