The best contractor experience we have ever experienced.  The owner, Neil Bookout, was hands-on from quote to completion.  His team from scheduler to supervisor were courtious and professional from start to finish.  Their work was complete and the finished product was perfect - no trace of the repair visible - as if nothing ever happened (which was a mess after the problem surfaced and the extend of damage revealed.  Neil was forthcoming with all the variables that might be uncovered before the work started and verified and communicated all discovery along the way.  He approached the problem with the idea of keeping repair and related cost at a minimum and allowed us to make decisions after the full extent was understood.  His firm also offered one-stop shopping from beginning to end including all finishing supplies and labor.  No sub-contracting needed.  A complete report of findings and repair was provided including root cause which we provided to condo association.  In the end the condo association has repaired the original problem in our condo and has moved on to other units pro-actively.  I would trust him and his team in my home every time.
Thank you, Neil.  This was a very worrisome problem to me and today I feel trouble-free and have zero doubt the cost was anything less than fair.

Puroclean Water, Fire, & Mold Experts
I've used PuroClean before in our old house and referred them to friends.  They were very prompt.  Luckily, I was home when this happened so I got the water turned off, buckets in place and called them immediately.  In our last house it had rained down through a chandelier onto the dining room table and had damaged some wood trim around the ceiling in the dining room.  The dried it out, cleaned it up and had their contractors fix all the drywall and trim.  This time they came to dry out the area once we had Waterworks fix the clog and get the water draining properly.  When I came back into the foyer to check on the work, the entire foyer was covered with chunks of drywall, drywall dust and splashes of water.  The guy doing the work had not covered my dark hickory floors with anything prior to cutting open the ceiling and pulling out some wet insulation.  I told him he needed to hang plastic between the doorways to keep all of the drywall dust from getting all over the adjacent dining room and main floor (which it had already done).  He said he could hang a trash bag (he had a few on the floor which covered about 1/16th of the foyer.  Clearly, it was too late.  My floors are wood planks so drywall dust was in every crack.  I called the company and they said they would send cleaners.  They did and my husband and I couldn't believe how bad they were.  I had to be in and out to pick up kids from school etc..  when I returned, one of the ladies asked where she could dump her bucket of chemicals (cleaners in a bucket) and I showed her to the laundry room sink.  I was concerned because I don't use harsh chemicals (nor should anyone) on the hardwood floors.  She also showed me quickly the area (not at all clean but main chunks of drywall were up) and said she didn't know what else to do.  It was a smeared mess.  Basically, she used some cleaning chemicals and wiped in the drywall dust.  I then realized she had also wiped my very irreplaceable dining room table, hallway table, piano etc?  By far the mess was made so much worse by PuroClean.  I spent the evening vacuuming, swiffering, using water/vinegar to try to get up the smeared in mess which definitely helped but I'll be using a toothpick to get the drywall out of the eased floor joints.  PuroClean picked up their dryers on Saturday and I've not heard anything from them on fixing the holes they cut in the ceiling or any follow-up whatsoever.  I've contacted the insurance company to try to find a contractor to come and repair not only the drywall/insulation but to look at the floors to see if they can find a way to get the g*** out.  Sadly, they made a not great situation into a much worse one.

    Mammoth Restoration & Cleaning
Mammoth was very professional from start to finish.  They were able to come the next day after I called.  The service provider inspected the leak site and the damage on the ceiling, and advised us about how to clean up the minor mold growth that we had, ultimately telling us that it didn't need serious repair.  They gave us a referral to someone who could take care of the cosmetic damage, and told us we wouldn't need their services.
I was very relieved that the problem wasn't extensive, and greatly appreciated Mammoth being honest about whether we needed their services.  As someone who isn't very knowledgable about these issues, with a young child that I don't want exposed to mold, it would have been easy for them to convince me I needed some work done.   I was impressed with their professionalism, and I will not hesitate to call them if I need any work done in the future.  Though they didn't end up needing to work on the damage, I found them to be honest, courteous, and professional.

    The Attic Doctor
Called numerous providers (including major national restoration folks
who work on a consulting basis it seems) and nobody would call back.
Called Attic Doctor and he answered my call immediately.  He was polite,
professional and Incredibly helpful.  He recommended an immediate
address of our issue that I could do on my own.  He was honest and
candid.  If the problem comes back or if I have similar issues in the
future, I will call the Attic Doctor.

    The Attic Doctor
Over the holidays we discovered a major moisture issue in our attic and a lot of black mold.  Had a few companies out to look at the problem, but the Attic Doctor was the only company willing to deal with both the mold and the reason it was there.  Eric is very knowledgable and took the time to walk us through the issues and what needed to be done to assist.  Eric even left a commercial air scrubber after his first visit for several weeks to help clean our air while we got other estimates and decided we wanted to do.
Eric's team was excellent and other than the noise in the attic we did not know there were even here.  They covered all surfaces while they were working.  You cannot tell we even had an issue now.
One other point between Eric's first visit and the work the situation did improve somewhat and Eric's first comment was he was going to need to redo the quote and lowered it.  Eric did not need to do that, I would have been none the wiser if he has stuck to the orignal quote, but doing this speaks volumes to his integrity.
I would have any of Eric's companies do work for us again.

    The Attic Doctor
I hired Eric Poling to come to a final home inspection after finding out the home I was supposed to close on had rotted plywood, rotted insulation under some rotted siding on the home a roof leak and a bathroom leak.  During his inspection, he found mold like substance in the attic and discovered several other areas of rotted wood on the home that were supposed to be remedied that were not repaired.  Eric saved me from purchasing a home with many issues that would likely have cost me in excess of $40,000.00 to repair.

AMAZING. I have nothing negative to say. Tom is exceptionally responsive both by phone and via email. He spent much more time at the job making it perfect. Tom is a very positive person and makes the process much less stressful (who likes mold,eh?) and makes you feel comfortable in your home after the work is completed. If you have any water issues or air quality issues I would only go to him. His crew are great to work with as well. He personally monitors the jobsite which was important to us.
