ALOGAN A/C & HEAT SERVICESSelected Logan as the technician did a complete inspection of furnace (other company did not) and only then recommended a completely new HVAC. (Other company also recommended a completely new HVAC, but AC was smaller and total cost was approximately $1,000 higher.) The 3 installers were Brad, Lauren and James. They were excellent and detailed oriented as we recently had new hardwood floors installed and the area the furnace is located in the basement is filled with art work, antique crystal and China. They were also COVID-19 compliant. At the end of each day, all work areas were spotless and all materials removed from home. They were very professional, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. FIncorrect diagnoses, wanting to replace parts that weren't broken, obviously its working now. Limit switch, control board and the ventilation motor/inducer all for $2674.29. He also recommended on not fixing it and buy a new furnace which would cost me more money. A day later a different company came in and got the furnace functioning by cleaning the plugged water trap, so zero parts were needed so no costs for the parts. The furnace is now functioning 100% properly. I do not recommend Logan A/C & Heating Services.

DHad CJS out roughly 10/5/20 to do an inspection/tune up. That went well. Good guy. Can't remember his name. Furnace is 17 years old. Found crack in heat exchanger. Tech shut the gas to the furnace off because he wanted me to be safe (I get that... no issues with it but I turned it back on). The heat exchanger (part) is under warranty. His estimate was 3395.00 to replace the primary and secondary exchangers but since it was under warranty the price would really be 2195.00. He said it would be about 4 hours work. There wasn't much of a breakdown of what would be done or the parts that would be replaced so I asked for a more line item detailed estimate. He said he or someone would get one to me. Someone from their office called about setting up an appointment to discuss replacing the furnace. Mentioned the desire for a more detailed estimate. Said they would get me one. They never did, nor did they say the tech's estimate was as detailed as it was going to get. Furnace estimator guy showed up a few days later. Looked at furnace and said he had to take some measurements to properly size a new one. He said after that he wanted to sit down with me and talk about my estimate and it would take about 2 hours. 2 hours ?!?!. I told him I didn't have time for that since I was actually at work and that I just wanted the written estimate (not a 2 hour sales pitch). He said he wouldn't have a way to email it to me (even though the repair estimate was). I told him to mail it to me. I also mentioned the detailed estimate to do the repair. He said he'd take care of that too. To date (2/22/21) I haven't received either a detailed repair estimate or an estimate to replace my furnace. The reason I wanted the detailed repair estimate was that I wanted to know what all was going to be replaced to decide if it was an estimate I thought was reasonable. With the primary heat exchanger being free and not knowing the cost of a secondary one for my furnace and only 4 hours of labor 2195.00 seemed pretty high. I get they have other employees to pay etc but even if the secondary cost 1k that would still be 1195 for labor or close to $300 HR. I can't make a fair judgement though because I was never given the detailed breakdown I asked for. If that is how they respond to a new customer who is trying to decide who to give their business I would rather talk to another company.
