Lighting Installation reviews in Montgomery

    Craftsman Electric Inc
The electrician, Joe, came on time, replaced three light fixtures (bathroom, deck, porch, all provided by me) in about one hour and cleaned up everything, including the old fixtures and the packaging from the new fixtures. He was very courteous and professional. I was very impressed and couldn't be happier with the work done.

    Hunny-Do Services LLC
Cody is an amazing handyman, very knowledgeable about all types of work. He is trustworthy, hard-working, and willing to take time to discuss various approaches to the work in terms of your budget. He has built a finished, insulated wall in our basement, fixed multiple broken closet doors, cleaned and repaired all our gutters and downspouts, and completed various other repairs. We definitely want to continue to work with him.

Professional service by Curtis, who was a trained electrician. We could have saved money by purchasing switches directly, but didn't really have the right knowledge level. left the job to the experts and very pleased. Would hire again.

    Classy Craftsmen
The project went really well. The breadth of services is very impressive and the work is high quality. We have worked with these guys before and really like the work. They are not inexpensive but you get high quality individuals on site who do great work and take care of the property even when you are not there to supervise. Dave does a great job in planning the job and making suggestions for design and implementation - some of these improve the job overall while others can save you money in the end. The flooring and closet work was completed by subcontractors that Classy works with and they were also great to work with and we were happy with the work. We would highly recommend the company.

    Lindsay Electrical Services
Mr. Lindsay gave a very reasonable price and was able to schedule the job in a reasonable time frame. He really worked with me to accomplish what I wanted done for lighting in my kitchen. He was very knowledgeable and called when he was running behind or unable to make an appointment. I am happy with the results. I understand the difficulty of trying to make appointments when trying to schedule contractors and he did his best to make sure I was informed when he was running behind.

What else can be said that hasn't been already - and it's all true. Jeff and his crew are fantastic and do exceptional work. It felt like having good friends who you trust and enjoy hanging out with coming in each day to gradually build toward a virtually perfect finished product. They definitely and unequivocally have our full recommendation. As with any such project there were ebbs and flows in the progress and frequency of visits, whether due to scheduling conflicts or awaiting some detail. But any of that was more than eclipsed by their willingness to tackle project wrinkles (notably a tricky flooring situation), assist at inconvenient times and take the time to talk through any questions - all while staying right on budget/quote. Expect to purchase your own fixtures (accent lighting, hood, appliances, faucet, etc), but also expect terrific flexibility from the crew in installing them (within reason, of course). It cannot be stated strongly enough how refreshing and reassuring it is to do business with a group of such impeccable integrity, with whom you genuinely have faith in the fact they're really interested in making sure your wishes and concerns are fully addressed. Phil and Shawn were the 2 regular crew members. Great guys (one of whom has exquisite taste in college football teams, the other not so much) and hard workers, but incredibly personable and easy going. James (tile man) is a true artisan who takes great pride in his work - and even talked us into letting him do extra work in the interest of having the tiling turn out optimally. He was right, and also a very nice and interesting man. Bonus mention of Mark Prince with W. Stephens is warranted as well. While not technically a member of Jeff's team, we were referred to him for cabinets and design in the earlier stages. His eye for detail and experience were critical to the full project.... and also a friendly guy with a good sense of humor who was always available to answer our questions or meet us at times that likely were not ideal. All told, we would highly recommend all people involved without hesitation and would work with them again in a heartbeat - in fact, we will be doing another smaller job with Jeff in the near future.

    Branhan Electric
Randy did a great job!  He was prompt and efficient, and picked out just the right lighting for our needs. The lighting is much brighter than before, and provides a neater appearance than the outdated fixtures we were using.

    Mr. Handyman of Greater Cincinnati/NKY
The garage was built in the 1970's, 30 years after the rest of the house and it had lots of cracks and inconsistencies.  But the thing I really needed done was him to fix a small area that looked like it was caving in and also to finish the drywall in another area.  I told the guy right toff the bat, I don't want this perfect.  I originally told him new drywall would have to be cut for the problem area but after seeing it, he said the area that was caving in was salvageable and wouldn't need to be drywalled, that he could secure the pieces that were falling down.  I thought that was smart and would save time.  The first thing he did was use hundreds of bolts and washers to secure the ceiling to the joists and taped over the bolts and finally mudded over the tape.  The thing I liked is that he was thinking out of the box and would also fix little things I didn't ask for, I have 2 hanging florescent lights and he said they might be pulling the ceiling down, so secured those.
At the time he was working I was out of the house, and after working for 5 hours he gave me a call and asked me if he wanted me to continue and I said that he should stop and that it was probably good enough.  On my way home to meet him I was shaking in boots just thinking about the cost, especially considering that we were selling the house and I just wanted to do this to appease the new owners.  But when I got home, I was completely blown away!  I mean for not being "perfect" it looked really good!  He even managed to fix a bunch of problem areas I didn't even ask about, such as a crumbling area over the garage doorway.
I think in retrospect I probably would've said, "Just work on this for like 3 or 4 hours and lets a**** what the ceiling looks like," considering I didn't really want to spend almost $700 on this little project.  On the other hand, it looks awesome and I can't imagine anyone doing a better job.  I'm really happy with the work that was done and the workman's ability to improvise when I didn't give him exact instructions on what to do.

    Cullen Electric Inc
These guys were really excellent.  Andy Cullen answered when I called and made an appointment to take a look and give me an estimate the next day.  I received Andy's estimate within 48 hours and scheduled the work.  Between scheduling the work and the day the work was done, I e-mailed Andy about extra work I wanted done, and he quickly revised the estimate.  On the scheduled day, two guys showed up right on time.  They were very professional and friendly.  A couple of times during the job they checked with me to make sure that I was okay with the way they were going to do some of the work.  While they were at my house, Andy Cullen stopped by to check on the job.  The job was done well and quickly, and they didn't leave a mess behind.  I would definitely use Cullen Electric again and I would recommend them to anyone.

    Daytime Enterprises LTD
Mike and his assistant, Pat, were great to work with. We have done remodeling before, with other contractors, and are very pleased. Mike has an understanding of the needed work, works to communicate the work and takes pride in the job her does. We will recommend Daytime Enterprises to anyone who asks, and are thankful we used Mike for this project.
