    Action Property Mold LLC
First had mold tests in 2 spaces and came back positive. Team came out the following week, removed the mold, including drywall that was effected and all other pieces around it and sprayed down the area. Overall took 2 days and very pleased with how the house was left.

    Gerard Home Inspection
Inspection showed up on time and walked me through everything he saw. He was very informative and did a thorough job. I did have to call back because the inspection report was late in getting to me, but it seemed like a glitch in their system as they were able to give me the report just minutes after I called.

This is my second home inspection with Inspections plus.  John (and Patrick too) is very knowledgeable, observant, and efficient.  He takes his time and carefully surveys every bit of the home he can, documenting and taking photos along the way.  Then at the end he talked with me about what he observed.  He provided excellent perspective on every question I had.

    TCD Cleaning
I contracted with TCD for duct cleaning in early November. They did show up on the assigned date, and I was initially impressed with the serviceman. I did agree to mold treatment to be on the safe side, but I realized it may be a bit of a scam (they blow an organic mist that smells like thyme into your ducts). I wanted a UV light for each furnace, and I signed up for the maintenance plan which would mean another cleaning in two years for much less money.
After I paid, the serviceman told me he only had one UV light on his truck, not two. It was later in the evening, and he told me he would stop by the following evening and install both lights. I didn't hear from him for a few days, and when I called, he told me that the company was still waiting to get them into stock, but it would definitely be the following week. Two weeks went by, no communication, and when I finally reached him, I was told that they still hadn't received the lights. I told him that was hard to believe when I could order the exact same UV light (at half the price) from Amazon with one day delivery. He told me that he would definitely be out that week. Another couple weeks go by, no contact. Incredible difficulty in reaching the serviceman. I could not leave messages on his cell number because his mailbox was full, and when I called the main company number (an Atlanta number), they simply told me they would pass on the message. I finally reached him after three weeks, and he told me "Oh, I thought someone else had completed that job". He agreed to come the following day, a Saturday, and I waited around that morning and afternoon. He called in the evening and said "things have come up at home, I'll be out tomorrow morning". I waited around that Sunday, couldn't leave a voice message because his mailbox was full, and that is the last contact I have had with the company.
I sat down and typed a letter to the company explaining the situation. I told them that I wanted reimbursed for $270: $150 for the UV light I never received, and $120 for the maintenance plan I no longer wanted since I did not want them in my house again. I mailed the letter to the address on my invoice, which is the same as the address on their website. It returned to me today as "Return to Sender, Not Deliverable as Addressed, Unable to Forward" I can't say that I am terribly surprised.
I knew that I would never take them to court for that amount of money (the total bill was less than $1000, and the cost and hassle of litigation isn't worth it), but I told them in the letter that if I did not receive a check for $270, I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and write about my experience on Angie's List. I have already filed my BBB complaint, and you have just finished reading this review. My only advice is to find someone else for your job.

    UPDATE 2-18-16

Just a follow up on my "F" review from last month. I filed a formal complaint with the local Better Business Bureau the same day I submitted my review of this company on Angie's List. The BBB sent me an e-mail this morning stating that TCD Cleaning failed to respond to their inquiry. So let's recap: They didn't perform services that were paid for, they were nearly impossible to reach by phone, my letter to their business address was "Return to Sender" because the address had apparently changed (although it is still the address listed on all of their invoices and website), and they feel no need to respond to the Better Business Bureau. Is this really a company you want to do business with?

Brian from Guardina Inspections was very professional. I walked with him during the inspection and he explained every detail. I found the inspection report very useful and a means for me to negotiate with the sellers and also to use it as a long-term repair plan.

Excellent service provided by the knowledgeable duo Steve and Dan, who have the experience of inspecting over 2000 homes. As first time home buyers, our research has been limited to ideas from the internet and Angie's list for service reviews. I conducted an interview prior to finalizing this service and Steve was very patient and courteous while answering all of my "tried and tested" internet questions. On the day of the inspection, Dan and Steve arrived on time and even though we were a little worried that the sellers were going to be home during the inspection, they reassured us that they would handle this appropriately. They chatted amicably with the sellers and extracted as much useful information as possible regarding the house. They did a thorough job, and summarized their findings while taking us around the house and explaining every little detail. They provided us with rough estimates of repair costs and published a detailed report with pictures to reference the findings.

Excellent house inspection.  Very thorough assessment of all aspects covered (plumbing, construction, heating/airco, operational state of house, drainage, etc, etc).   Had no issue with me following him around, and I got to see the very methodical approach taken into each key detail.
Brian took time to explain all of the issues and what would be needed to address them.   Also provided a very detailed written report to ensure everything was documented well.    His background in the construction business was very apparent and clearly very useful in identifying the critical issues, and how they should be addressed.
This is the fourth house I have purchased and by far the best home inspection I have had.

I had a wonderful experience working with the staff of At Home Radon. It started with my first call to the office. Jessica was both very knowledgable about radon test/mitigation and very patient with my inquires. She thoroughly answered all of my questions and was always very responsive to my follow up emails/calls. Later, her colleague, Ronda, thoughtfully and kindly followed up with me when Jessica was out of office. When Floyd (lead technician) and Zac showed up to do the installation, I was very impressed by their punctuality and professionalism. They were also very friendly and courteous. But more importably, they took pride in their work and treated the job as they would do for their own home. Due to the weather factor and the design of the mitigation of my house, the installation has to be done in two different days. Floyd and Jessica worked closely to make sure that I could get my mitigation system in place as soon as possible. Finally, I had the pleasure of meeting Bret, the technician who initially did the estimate of the work, when he later picked the devices for the retest. He was very thoughtful to take off his shoes when he entered the house even though the house was obviously empty and not occupied. He also took initiatives to explain the retest results and educated me how on to do a follow up test in the future. I would definitely recommend At Home Radon to anyone.  The owner of the company should be very proud of his employees. Thank you, Floyd, Jessica, Bret, Zac, and Ronda!

FABULOUS!!!  I only had 5 days to get the inspection scheduled and done... Maury was able to fit me in and he arranged for the termite and radon to be completed also.  Maury was very patient, paid attention to details and pointed out things I can see now, but hadn't seen before, even being at the house more than a dozen times previous.  He spent time and did walk thru verbal report with me on site, in addition to the written detailed report.  I felt very confident in his knowledge, ability and thoroughness.  I feel very confident in the information I now have because of the walk thru with Maury to negotiate some costly repairs before closing on this house.  He is truly a homebuyers "gem" in the Queen City. Thanks again.  I will definitely refer Maury to anyone and if this house doesn't work out, I will use him for the next house I buy!
