The place of the colonoscopy procedure was great, it was the Butler County outpatient surgery center on Ham-Mason rd, the follow-up by this medical practice on my post procedural problems only came after I had to call multiple times. I was given misinformation on two calls as to whether the Dr. Wiesenberger or his assistant was in the office. I had to become quite testy with the reception desk to get a response, I had to resort to their "emergency" number.

I went to see Dr. Attar because I was having a lot of stomach pain. He spent about 5 minutes talking to me and told me I needed an endoscopy and colonoscopy. I went ahead with these procedures and they found nothing. After I woke up he spent less than 5 minurtes explaining the findings and was gone. I feel that not only were these procedures unneccesary, his office keeps calling to tell me I need to come in for another colonoscopy. I asked my doctor what he thought and after reviewing my records he infomred me that I definitely did not need to go in for another. I should mention that I am in my 20's and nothing was found.

He takes great care with his patients.  He is an individual doctor and not linked with a big group so he takes more time and goes beyond his means to make sure he has checked you thoroughly.  He listens to what you have to say to understand your symptoms and doesn't try to get through as many people as possible per day.

Dr. Attar appears to be a competent, caring medical professional, even if his manner seems cool at times. He appeared to exert the utmost care in completing the colonoscopy and ordering all needed follow-up. On the other hand, good business sense in running an office (he is the only doctor at that practice) seems wanting, because the people working for him were not consistently helpful. This started with a bad impression: I arrived at the appointed time to Dr. Attar's office, but I had to wait more than 1 hour 15 minutes for him to show up. When I asked the receptionist about halfway through the wait whether he was typically late, she remarked unabashedly "yes", without any explanation--let alone empathy. He apologized upon arriving, explaining that other patients had emergencies that he needed to attend. The day of the actual procedure, I arrived at the hospital and went through the prep. Again, he was more than an hour late, although he at least notified the hospital that time to let them know he was delayed. This time, he walked in, passed by me on the table, went to place down his briefcase, and went through prep steps without even acknowledging that I was there. Finally, he approached, apologized again for the delay, and began. The entire procedure went well and I was pleased with what appeared to be careful observation and record-keeping. I returned a month or so later to his office for the diagnosis. During this time, I had been contacting his accountant to ask about the insurance. My carrier covers the full cost of "routine colonoscopy", so I was surprised I had to pay several hundred dollars out-of-pocket even before the procedure occurred. Dr. Attar attributed this to the fact that I had adverse findings--so it was not truly "routine". The accountant was not very helpful, and she never even got back to me after she had promised to follow through with Dr. Attar to sort out the details of the claim. Worst of all, this accountant gave me the diagnosis of the colonoscopy, unsolicited, over the phone before I had even spoken with Dr. Attar after the procedure--something I considered unethical, if not a violation of privacy laws! When I explained this to Dr. Attar, he asserted this this was not a big deal compared with assuring a healthy outcome and avoiding the serious issues many of his patients deal with. He was right in this assertion; however, I still would have preferred treatment that was a bit more compassionate. Overall my medical issues were handled successfully and professionally, and my only criticism is of the less-than-helpful attitude with which I felt treated at times.

Dr. Attar was very professional and did a great job. Colonoscopys are not a lot of fun to prep for but I was happy with how well the procedure went. I woke up and thought they had not done anything. I has several pre cancerous growth removed which he all explained very well.

I have been seeing him for twenty years. He has performed several procedures on me. He is a perfectionist and he expects his staff to be the same way. He deals with the problem right away. He has really good skills. Everything has always worked out that he has done for me. He has always made sure that I was comfortable and everything was okay before and after the procedures was done. He is a great doctor. The office is clean and up-to-date. The staff is courteous and kind.

Dr. Zelinski of the University Endoscopy Center performed the two procedures. He is very efficient and his staff is wonderful. Prep is good and you are sedated so you don't even realize that the procedure is being performed. They make the whole operation quite bearable.

I was so sick and Dr. Attar took excellent care of me. The hospital doctor released me too soon and Dr. Attar called and told me to get back to the hospital. He had everything taken care of when I got there. All I had to do was walk in and they wheeled me up the sixth floor back to another room. I stayed there another seven days (making the stay ten days total) and Dr. Attar took watch over me from that point on. I would highly recommend this doctor.

Very professional, However Dr Attar can run late sometimes. Good to bring reading material. Once he gets there or you see him, very professional and patient.
