    It went great! Kim was a pleasure to work with. She was able to answer all our questions and make some good recommendations for us. She came to the home to do measurements and see where the blinds were to go. It took about 3 weeks for the blinds to come in. She always called before she came and was always punctual with her appointments. We particularly loved her easy going manner and her sense of humor. The new window looks beautiful enhanced by the new blinds! It was an excellent experience!

    They did a nice job. Custom for some unusually shaped windows, so had to shape and measure them. From what I understand, prices are pretty good. They did everything quickly and on time. I was here for one of the installs and it was done in like 30 seconds. I have no complaints.

    We had a wonderful experience with this company.  Dadstasks was quick to respond to our emails and schedule work.  They offered competitive pricing for the amount of work requested and clearly communicated all work that would be performed.  All employees were prompt, efficient, professional and very friendly. They were also flexible in working around our families' activities.  Andy fixed a scroll-top cabinet that has caused us many problems in the past. He took the time to explain to me step by step how to fix the cabinet if we have future issues with it coming off the track. That advice was greatly appreciated!  We were very happy with the final results and we plan on hiring Dadstasks again for future home projects. They are a great company with an excellent crew of employees!!!

    We wanted blinds for our screened in porch. I did some comparison shopping and was pleased with their choices and cost. They came to our home, measured and I ordered the blinds. Two weeks later, they were ready to install (just as they had promised). We could not be happier with the result. They look great, the installation was flawless (and fast). We'd use them again in a minute. They did exactly what they said they would do...and they did it right the first time (which is unusual these days).

    It was a good experience.  The sales staff was knowledgeable and attentive, they were able to cut and provide some of the blinds in-store, and the rest of the blinds were delivered on schedule.  Additionally, the sub-contractor that they sent did a very good job with the installation.  He actually came to the house in order to take measurements so that there wouldn't be any installation issues.

    Marilyn returned our call promptly and set an appointment asap as my husband was home for a few weeks over Christmas to help with our projects.  She is one of the most delightful people we have ever met and certainly invited into our home to do work.  She went from room to room listening to our wishes and selecting paint colors for our crazy-angled walls.  She gave some advice on furniture and furniture placement as well.  She has a dazzling personality and gets right to work.  She is wonderful with children and has a special way of letting them (and us) know they aren't babies anymore and need to contain their toys to appropriate rooms-- without sounding offensive at all.  "Remember what Miss Marilyn said about your toys?" 
    We have two rooms painted so far and another 5 to go on the first floor.  The colors are gorgeous and have already made our house feel more cozy than builder white.  My favorite quote of the day... We were discussing the pros and cons of either remodeling the kitchen or finishing the basement.  My husband asked her where she would put the refrigerator and she said, "I don't know, but not THERE."  She also told us where to spend money and where to not invest too much. 
    After painting a few rooms, we attempted to have custom window treatments made by someone else who we had already contacted before meeting Marilyn.  Over the phone, that company quoted a "ballpark" figure based on our measurements then wrote an on-site estimate for over double their quoted price.  Marilyn had come and gone so we called her back asking what to do?  She swooped right in to save our day finding someone who would do the work for a reasonable price.  She even offered to come measure the windows and pick up our fabric. 
    We plan on calling her back room by room, floor by floor, to put our entire house together.  Even with a minor in interior design, combining households, having children, trying to please everyone, having little time for self let alone planning, I decided to call in reinforcements.  We could not be more pleased with her.  She will not waste your time, money or energy.  On the contrary, we are better for having met her.  She will unblock your decision-making process and leave you inspired and ready to get started transforming your spaces and lives.

    Budget Blinds
    Bill Ressler, the owner came out on 4/23/2012 for an estimate and was friendly and professional. The installer came out 5/03/2012 and was on time. When he arrived, he wasn't sure his ladder was tall enough and I was told by Bill that two people would be here for the installation but only one showed up. At first, the installer wasn't friendly at all, and seemed very agitated, but eventually became more interactive. I know he is there to install the blinds but  you do need to put  the customer at ease and let them know you know what you are doing.
    The installer  had a difficult time because the ladder he was using was barely tall enough and at first he screwed the frame into the wrong place and had to adjust it. After re-adjusting it he had difficulty holding on to anything since he was so high up; he got dirty hand prints all over the freshly painted skylight wells and ceiling. I asked him if he would mind cleaning the handprints since I just had it completely repainted, over a 1000 dollar job.
    Then I noticed that the frame was one and a half inches too short on the bottom side and just right on the top side so there was no compensation for the angle of the skylight well. After the installer worked with them and adjusted them a while, he got them to at least close and open properly. They don't exactly fit at the bottom because of the angle and the lack of compensation but they are close enough. I would suggest in the future that in an angle situation that the frame be measured at the top and bottom and take the larger size. Then, the angle can be trimmed out accordingly.  I am glad to have the shades up but wished they fit the space better and at a better price. I did have to touch up some paint on the upstairs bathroom skylight where the ladder scraped the paint.
    In order to improve your service you would need to send out two friendly installers, offer a lower price and provide a more accurate measurement. Doing this would have made this an excellent experience instead of a B experience. Thanks.
