    Dr. Energy Saver Cincinnati
I first spoke with Chris over the phone and we scheduled a time to perform an inspection at the house. He spent a significant amount of time viewing our home and then explaining the services available and what would be best to achieve the energy-saving results we sought. We had the rim joist sealed with spray foam and the attic air sealed and more insulation blown in, along with the installation of a super-deck. The drafts were decreased, static temperature increased, and allowed our failing heat pump to keep up during a very cold winter. Without these measures, the house would have been much colder. Jason and his team of installers did a fantastic job. They wasted no time and got right to work. Chris has followed up several times to confirm we were happy with all the work performed and that we have achieved the desired results. Once our heat pump is replaced, I believe we will see even better and more consistent savings.

    Attic Experts Insulation
JB our sales engineer was very informative and detailed about the quality and work that would be performed.  It was an easy decision to go with Attic Experts because of JB.  Marty and Joe did a very professional installation.  Very prompt, courteous and explained every step of the process.  They provided plenty of before and after pictures of the job as well.  All involved were extremely knowledgeable.

    Sustainergy Cooperative
They were excellent. Very clean, went above and beyond. They did a really nice job. They test it before and after they do the job and they give you the results so if you can get money back from the government you have the paperwork. Any little touch up paint they needed to do they did. They put tarps throughout the hallway so nothing would get into the carpet and they wore the little footed shoes. It was all done on one day.  I thought the price was good, we had 4 quotes and they were competitive. Highly recommend.

    All Season Insulation Company
they came out and gave me a quote, had all the documents, workers comp etc that a good contractor should have.  They added insulation into our attic and have already noticed a difference.  They also corrected insulation issue on the other house I own where my daughter lives.  They were on time and very professional

    AIT American Insulation Technologies
When we purchased our home (1950's ranch) it had only minimal insulation in the attic and none in exterior walls. We called AIT and received a consultation and quote. They put insulation in exterior walls in bedrooms, but we were getting ready to begin a remodel so held off on the living/kitchen areas until remodel was complete. They were efficient and professional and completed the work exactly as contracted. I can feel a major difference in the half of the house that is insulated. Our remodel is almost complete, so we called AIT again to quote the living/kitchen areas and attic. I will submit another review when complete, but expect a quality job as before.

Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of Cincinnati
We visited the Champion showroom and spoke with the salesman, Scott about our needs. He set up a time to meet with us at our home, arrived promptly and stayed for approximately 2.5 hours talking through all the details and providing a quote. Although he was very insistent that we sign a contract right away and even tried to persuade us with "limited time" offer scare tactics, we had an appointment with another [Angie's List] vendor a couple of days later. After two more (lengthy) meetings with the Champion salesman and various negotiations on the pricing - over an approximate 2-3 week period - we signed the Champion contract. We went with Champion primarily for two reasons: 1) they offered the wider profile siding, which matched our original siding more closely 2) the salesman insisted they would not just cover the old soffit but remove the old (it was a wood board with only a few small holes) and/or ensure additional holes were drilled for more ventilation. We knew the amount of ventilation we currently had was not sufficient.
Our salesman said we would be contacted by the scheduling department to schedule our installation and that they were about 8-10 weeks out. At the 8 week mark, my husband began reaching out to our salesman because we had not received the call to schedule. After two calls to the salesman with still no installation scheduled, I placed a third call and we finally got on the schedule.
As the installation was taking place, it was apparent that the insulated siding would stick out from the trim approximately 1.5 to 2 inches - which our salesman assured me would NOT be the case. Additionally, the installation team knew nothing about removing the old soffit, nor drilling more holes for ventilation. The job lead contacted the salesman who intern called my husband to tell him that they could not remove the old soffit because they needed to nail the new soffit to it. He also said the siding was special order and could not be returned. (We asked to have it returned because there is no way to install the siding so that it is flush with our trim) I will add though, that the trim wrap was done well. After some back and forth, the installation team agreed to drill some additional holes for ventilation.
It was during this time that I contacted the Sales Manager Camille Saleh to discuss returning the siding. Eventually, they agreed that they would return the siding and remove the siding portion from our invoice.
When it was complete and the installation team came to our home to pick up the siding, we asked them to confirm that the additional ventilation holes were drilled. They said yes, it was done.
My husband took down a small portion of the soffit on the back of the house to reveal that they had not drilled holes at all - and only added more ventilation on a portion of the front of the house. I contacted Camille once again to let him know this - and although he offered to have them return to complete the job, I respectfully declined and told him honestly that I prefer not to have Champion do any more work on my house.
My husband spent the weekend removing the new soffit so he could take down the old soffit completely and then reinstalling the new soffit  - to provide the sufficient amount of ventilation. It's worth noting that the old soffit board did not need to be there for the new soffit to be nailed to for installation, as we were told. I can only assume that they simply did not want to take the time to remove it.
In summary - Champion only performed one third of the services they were supposed to. Personally, I feel that from our very first interaction, representatives of Champion lied to us - with the singular exception of Camille. Had it not been for him, my review would be an F instead of a D. In hindsight, I wish I had gone with the second vendor we interviewed. At every opportunity, I will warn my friends and neighbors against using Champion.

    Valentino HVAC and Electrical Contracting

Very informative. I learned my attic needs more insulation. Doors need weather striping  on the bottom. My ductwork is poorly designed which I suspected. Air flow is very low. The house heats and cools very unevenly. The furnace and air conditioner are showing their age. Tony is preparing a list of options to correct the problems.

    Integrity 1st Roofing
We had them come out with the insurance company to look at a portion of a wall in our house that was completely rotted from water damage. They had initially done a water test and found a water diverter on the roof that was installed improperly.  They worked well with the insurance company and they ended up fixing the diverter, removing the shingles in a valley on that side of the roof and installing a California weave, they replaced a rake board and created a new piece of flashing with a custom drip edge, they replaced a small section of 4" gutter and down spout with 6" gutter and downspout and painted it to match the original color.
Once the work was completed they did a water test and discovered that the diverter and roof were fixed, but water was also getting through the brick and into the wall.  The company owner then contacted a mason he had known for a long time, and we had the mason remove the brick in the rotten area of the wall and then Integrity replaced the studs and OSB.  The mason then patched the hole.  The mason also sealed that entire side of the house with a silicon brick sealant.  The mason was extremely knowledgeable and did excellent work.
This was a huge headache for my wife and I and throughout the process Integrity worked with us and took care of our needs.  I would recommend them to anybody.
