I had Paul and Mark doing some work to my house that initially was of decent quality. So I've accepted Paul's quote for windows replacement because it looked like a good deal initially. But once I made my first down-payment the trouble started. The install date was pushed from November, to December, that eventually became, January, February with excuses like the manufacturer is late to deliver, the order was missing some parts or the weather was too cold for the caulk to cure, etc. Eventually I got the windows installed when the weather started to warm up, but they left the old windows in my yard, leaning against the wall. I've got windows quotes from other contractors and all of them have the removal included by default. Since the strong wind started knocking the old windows to the ground and breaking them I've asked them to come and remove them. That was my first unpleasant surprise, they would not do it unless I pay, so reluctantly I paid what I thought was supposed to be part of the service, just like other contractors stated. After a few days while looking in detail at the installation from outdoor, I noticed a few spots where not enough calk has been applied. So I called them and waited for a response because invariably all the messages went into the voicemail. After a few days I email them and attached pictures with the problem spots, that probably are very easy to fix. There was no response to the email too. I've continued to call and send emails repeatedly for more that 2 moths to no avail. I'm writing this so you won't get suckered like me with an initial low quote and ending up being nickel-ed and dimed for services you never thought of, or left with a '25 year warranty for windows' that they would not honor even after a few days after installation. If their name 'dun-right' was supposed to come from 'done right', beware, it is not what it sounds like!

It went very smoothly - this contractor is very professional with excellent communication skills. His work is of exceptional quality and the job went extremely smoothly.  Everyone who has seen it has commented on the quality of the workmanship.  I would not hesitate to use this contractor on future jobs.

Two days before the scheduled time, their office called and said I needed to reschedule because their schedule was and quot;double bookedand quot;. I requested that they try to reschedule the other person, who was no doubt local, reminding them that I had to come from far away, but the office person put me through to her and quot;office managerand quot; who said I would and quot;have toand quot; reschedule because their other appointment was an INSURANCE ADJUSTOR with a LARGER JOB. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I wouldn't hire these people to build a doghouse, because they are obviously motivated solely by greed, have no ethics, and don't follow through with what they say they will do.

The interaction went just fine. It turned out that their services were not quite a match for what we needed but we had a good conversation with them. We decided to go elsewhere not because we were unhappy with them but because we were asking for something that they didn't really do. We were able to determine from the phone call that we weren't going to be working together. It was a first line response from the sales representative. Everybody was very polite and very professional. It worked out well. It was a same day callback. I left a message and they called me on the same day. They make a good professional impression when I see them out in the community. That was why we were contacting them in the first place.

Went out out of his way to work with other vendors involved in kitchen update to keep the project moving forward.   Extremely helpful in suggestions on choices we made and actually saved a lot of time when he discovered an appliance we had purchased was not going to work in the design.   We were able to cancel the special order appliance prior to delivery and get a full refund thanks to Dave taking time to investigate installation requirements of the appliance prior to the actual he was to install it.

Good salesperson, very professional (Dave Daily)he was very helpful as much as he could be. Very poor warranty department and some poor subcontractors unfortunately ruined it for the overall rating. Think the overall product is pretty good but the strain on my emotional health due to the warranty department was almost too much to bear.

The experience before signing the paperwork was perfect. Then the day we signed they almost did not give us the keys because the Bank we used and the rep from Dixon did not take care of Money owed. After that the main problem was the yard. They promised us that they would backfill our backyard to make it more level and it is now a year later and they never have taken care of this. Our back yard is a puddle the majority of the year.

This is the second home we've built and it was a completely positive experience. Mike Gunlock listened carefully to our ideas then did all he could to give us what we wanted. The result exceeds our expectations. Mike was courteous, honest, accessible and knowledgeable. He valued my input and offered great suggestions of his own. He always took my calls and answered my questions. I was on site daily inspecting the work and know that it was done thoroughly and with great skill. His subs were excellent, providing constructive advice and quality work. Mike's commitment to his customers and dedication to his work made building our home a unique and enjoyable experience. I trust him and believe he will always do the best job possible, because he cares about people and wants to do the right thing. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.
