    Hot Stuff, LLC
I usually cut, split and store my own firewood under cover to season it but I got behind this year. It had been years since I ordered wood and I recently refused a wood delivery in my driveway that was saturated with water after it had been sitting in the rain for who knows how long. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with both the quality and quantity of wood dropped off by Hot Stuff LLC yesterday in my driveway in mid Dec. I can tell by the clean look and feel of the wood that it will burn well in my wood stove. It looks better than that the ash I cut on my own property and store under cover. Very Pleased!

ARCO - Affordable Roofing & Chimney Options
First off I'll say the guys were very professional, kind, & sounded generally knowledgeable. They called ahead of time to say running behind which was great. No issues with general business etiquette. I'd say they're probably better than most if not all other contractors I've used in the past. With that said - they aren't necessarily functionally knowledgeable. Struggled to understand how to disassemble the stove to clean it. I provided info on what the previous company had done in prior years, but he seemed reluctant to try my suggestion & said it wouldn't work as he's not familiar with the brand. After about 20min he said he'd rather not try anything & break something, then they apologized & left. Myself being relatively mechanically inclined, went in after they left & had all the parts disassembled & ready to go in 5 minutes using the suggestion i had provided. I now need to wait an additional two weeks to get another company to accomplish the job i needed done, at almost double the price.

    DBA Gas Fireplace Co
I was so impressed with this company and Mr Baker. He was able to come in a very timely fashion. Other companies could not get to the work for 2 months. He arrived on time and was very respectful of my home and careful not to get soot every where . He projected an air of knowledge and expertise. He cleaned my fireplace up and replaced the mechanism that ignites the pilot light. He was nice to my dogs too. My fireplace has been humming along in perfect working order and I use it a lot.

Very prompt, Cleaned up everything and I noticed that as he walked around the house he was also picking up tree debris in the yard and disposing of it.

Since they also do chimney repair we hired them to do that for us also.

    The Gas Fireplace Service Co
Steve arrived on time and got right to work on cleaning my direct vent gas fireplace.  After he completed the work, he showed me all the features of the fireplace, explained what each knob and switch did and when I would use it.  Since I had never used a gas fireplace before, he was happy to answer all my questions and readily shared information.
It was a good experience and I would definitely call him again.

Mid Valley Chimney Repair & Sweep
Camera inspection revealed cracked flu liner in chimney. Recommended heat shield application for cracks in flu. Fill voids with high temp mortar. Chimney was not up to code due to cracks. Technician was on time, professional and very careful to keep work area clean. Kept me informed and showed me the problems on camera monitor. Was quoted a reasonable price and work was completed quickly to my complete satisfaction. We are now able to enjoy our fireplace again. I like using a local company and would recommend Mid-Valley to anyone.

Mid Valley Chimney Repair & Sweep
I had a couple of concerns which I discussed with the owner around the existing gas line. He was confident he could complete the job without issue, and he and his team did just, in ONE DAY. He was very professional, patient with my nervousness, and even worked with me on a saturday after the job was complete to help answer some follow up questions I had about the system. Overall, I got a better quality stove than the other bids I received, for less money. I couldn't be happier.

Mid Valley Chimney Repair & Sweep
Our chimney wall was cracked in several different areas there was a long vertical crack.
The crew was very professional, they installed floor protected  covering. Thursday 08 was very cold they worked on the roof and inside all day.
Re anchored the existing damper and glass doors.
They were so kind to installed the Reflector wall which weigh 100#  and install the Grate in the firebox. All went very well.
They did a good job of cleaning up and I add the fire box was very clean when they finished.
They next evening we use the fireplace for the first time it was great.
There was a problem with the damper it came loose we could not close it, I contact Matthew on the 10th and he came out immediately and corrected.

    Harrison's Pro Tree LLC
Excellent job! Jeff, who did the estimate, was the bucket man and crew leader of the five man team that arrived promptly on the scheduled day, starting at eleven for the afternoon appointment. I was impressed with the care and safety used in doing the job, in regard to both my property and the workers. Jeff showed concern for my landscape, making it clear there would necessarily be some damage, but taking the time to find agreement with me regarding the path the men would take to drag brush to the grinder. He seemed to communicate clearly with an experienced crew that worked well together. Even with a last minute bush removal, the whole job was done, yard cleaned, and the men on their way in about three hours or so.

    Josh Tirey Roofing
I was in the market for some chimney repair and had been shopping pretty hard, I was also looking to get my roof done since the chimney repair was going to damage a lot of my roof being rebuilt. I had planned to do the gutters myself, but was asking each contractor for a quote just so I'd have it.

I received lots of quote, and Josh Tirey came in about 30% higher than some of the others but he was also the only and quot;full serviceand quot; contractor I had spoken to. Everyone else either did roofs or chimneys, not both. I asked Josh why he was so much more expensive because I like to give contractors a chance to explain their pricing, justify it, and make sure I'm comparing to bids and quot;apples to applesand quot; so to speak.

After listening to Josh explain why his bid was higher and actually going and looking at job's he did as well as jobs some of the other contractors did, I quickly saw that the extra money was for the quality of service Josh Tirey provided. A few examples include: soldering of all flashing joints for a permanent solution versus caulking which can wear out and needs maintained; a different type of crown on the chimney (called a reveal crown); forming flashings in such a way that water runs into gutters and not down chimney face; installing a ridge behind the chimney to prevent water buildup behind it, and many other small details.

When I asked other contractors about these types of things, they all agreed that they are good things and said they could do them (for more money). What bothered me about this was that they didn't ever mention these items themselves. It was as if they would prefer to just and quot;get the joband quot; and didn't care whether it was done the best it could be or not. Josh, on the other hand, didn't want to the job if he wasn't doing it the best.

In the end I went with Josh Tirey. Both his roofing and chimney crew were very professional and courteous. They brought dump trucks with them each day to the house and loaded their debris so that I didn't have an ugly dumpster sitting at my home all week. Everything was done with care and I honestly never found a single roofing nail on the ground after they left.

His roofing crew did leave a little bit of material and scrap at my house when they were done, but as soon as I mentioned it to Josh he brought his crew back out to retrieve them and apologized for the oversight.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the jobs Josh Tirey completed for me and would definitely recommend him.
