    This is the best company that we have dealt with for home repairs/improvements in our 30 years of marriage. They did exactly what they said they would do - from the first contact made by the salesman to the project clean up. They found more water damage than expected and called the sales guy back out to take pics and inform us about what needed to be done "to get it right". A minor delay, but they were still done with a big project in one day and a few hours the next morning. We are confident that things are done right. Very impressive. We would and will highly recommend them.

    Primo Exteriors did an excellent job on my siding. The crew was very nice and cleaned up after each day they worked. They were very particular on the small details as far as trim and fixtures. The trim around the windows turned out better than when the house was new. James Cox the owner was a little hard to get in touch with at first but I found out he had voice message problems and you cannot plan for those type of problems. I started texting him and found out what was going on and he responded  back immediately with me texting until his phone problem was resolved. Very honest and up front. I would definatley use them again.

    So far we have heard nothing from the company. I plan to call them now that it is week 14 and see how much longer it will be.

    8/12/14 FURTHER UPDATE: Our windows finally came, except for the one that they forgot to manufacture. We were told that window would be ready in 7-10 business days. It's been 21 business days now, and still no window. One of the windows that was installed doesn't latch, and neither does the patio door. There is a hole in one of the screens. The salesman spent probably half an hour showing us how easy these windows were to clean, but of course that was the vertical style he showed us, and we have the horizontal style, which are as big of a pain in the neck to clean as the ones we had before.

    Right now the only positive comments I have apply to the installation crew, who worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up every trace of their work.

    Awaiting Brian's bid but wanted to get the review up right away.  I was extremely impressed with Brian and irregardless of whether I hire him or not for this job he'll definitely be considered for future work. Brian wasn't able to come out for a couple of weeks yet he followed up with my like he actually wants the job (unlike a lot of others).  I have a background in building materials and I am 100% confident in the products Brian uses and I was also very impressed with his professionalism and overall demeanor. 
    I don't expect Brian to be the low bid but even if he's the high bid I will strongly consider him simply because I am confident the job will be done right.

    Things are great.  There are huge improvements over the once that I had before.  I don’t know if they serve this are anymore.  I have nothing negative to say about them.  They came in a bitterly cold day in the winter time.  It was horribly cold and they did all of my windows in the house, which was 11 windows.  They did an absolutely magnificent job.  I have nothing but praise for them.  Before the installers came the sales person comes in and helps you decide what on the kind of windows and takes measurements so, the windows can be custom made.  When they make them and they have them already that is when the installers come out and put it the house.  The salesman made sure that I had tampered glass in my floor to ceiling living room windows knowing that I have a lot of grandchildren around and they did not want that glass to be breakable.  They were really concerned about having the safest windows with little kids around.  None of the competitors even mentioned that.  I was very impressed with that.  He was more than just trying to sell me their products.  He was trying to make sure that I had the right thing for the right product.  Their price is much less expensive.  These are very high quality vinyl windows.  It is very easy to clean and also airtight.  They did a very nice job.  They were very responsive and punctual.  I would be happy to recommend them.  I think I also have a warranty for the windows as long as I am in the house.

    I was very nervous. This was the first window replacement project I've been through. These guys were great. They were very professional and were able to quickly put me at ease - simply by observing their work. They were very conscientious and treated my home like it was their own. They cleaned up after themselves as they moved from one window to the next. One of my triple windows, being replaced by a slider, required the removal of two large beams and the placing of one window sill where there were three. You can barely, and I mean barely tell they had cut these two beams out. The window sill and underside of the window sill was left pristine, while I was left with minimal finish work to complete at the top of the window (as agreed upon - honestly, I was left with very little finish work; much less than I ever imagined).

    One of the sliders window sash's was damaged in transit, but a replacement sash was ordered. I have been notified that it has arrived and is ready for replacement. An appointment has been made to have it installed May 2nd.

    I would recommend them to others, and would use them again in the future.

    The gutters were not included in the contract, but they were destroyed when the crew removed them. I was not home at the time, so was unable to tell the workers the gutters were to be reused. The window installation was completed quickly and done very professionally. The doors took a little longer, and the vinyl siding job seemed to take a very long time. The work was begun on July 13 and the last door was installed on July 31. The owner wanted the balance of payment on July 31 so I wrote the check even though the work was not completely finished. One of the installers was supposed to come back on August 6 to complete the job (re-installing an outside electric outlet which was inadvertently covered with siding and caulking around the porch rails). When no one came I called the office number and left a message with the answering service. When no one called me back I called again in 2 hours, then the installer called me and we arranged for him to complete the work on August 9. He came, but was much later than we had arranged. The installers cleaned up pretty well, but left scraps in several small garbage cans. My neighbor was kind enough to help me put these scraps into garbage bags so they could be put in the cans the garbage collectors actually pick up. The work done does look good, but the job just took too long. I inspected the work before they siding crew left and there were quite a few places where things needed to be "cleaned up," including several weep hole covers in the windows which were missing, so please be sure you inspect the work carefully. The salesman, Ricky, was very nice and patient, and took time to explain all the work to me. This work was done during an extreme hot spell, so this may have contributed to the length of time it took to complete the job.

    This was one of the worst experiences ever with any service company of any kind.  We had the work done on a Saturday so I would not have to take off work.  The men who performed the work were very nice and it took 2-3 hours from start to finish.  After they finished, I went around to inspect the work.  They left used grinding discs, pieces of metal, and cigarette butts around and in our landscaping.  The next day, I notice cracks in the cement work on 5 of the 6 windows as well as concave dips in the cement surrounding the windows.  I work with cement, so I understand that sometimes this happens, but on 5 of the 6 windows?  Then there is the dryer vent.  I started the dryer the next day and it started making an unusual noise after a minute.  I stopped it and went outside and had my wife start the dryer.  The dryer vent vanes would not open.  I pulled them open and they would not shut.  The laundry had to be done so I would go outside to open and close the vents depending on whether I was using the dryer or not.  Then I noticed a cold draft while standing near the dryer vent.  I inspected it to discover that the workers did not silicone seal all the way around the dryer duct.  
    I called on Monday with all the concerns and made an appointment for Wednesday.  They called Tuesday afternoon and cancelled because there was rain in the forecast.   Wednesday came and from 7:30 am it was sunny and 55*.  I called to reschedule and could not get scheduled until the Tuesday after Thanksgiving @ 2:30.  Being that the temps were getting into the 30's, I went out on that sunny Wednesday, took off the vanes on the cheap dryer vent, replaced it with a quality one with a critter guard and stainless steel hardware, and used a silicone sealant to finish the job they didn't.  
    The Tuesday appointment came and I waited until about 3:45 for them to show before I called the company.  The woman I talked to said that they came around 1:30 and saw nothing wrong except that there appeared to be the wrong type of vent that they might have got by mistake from their distributor.  I explained that most of the cracks were on the inside and that if they came at 2:30 I could have let them in.  She said that they do not make appointments for specific times, just AM or PM.  I told her that I made the appointment with her, and 2:30 was suggested by her so I would not have to take off work!  She insisted I was wrong.  I then told her that the vent was something that I had put on to replace the faulty one since I could not do laundry without going out to open the vent.  She then started yelling at me!  She said "You just voided your warranty!  You can't modify our product!"  After going back and forth about how I did this only after they cancelled appointments and freezing weather was on its way.  I finally said fine, I voided my warranty on that window, but the cement work had to be fixed along with another air leak from one of the other windows.  
    Another appointment was made and then the company cancelled because of cold weather.  At this point, we are into December and they have stopped work for the remainder of the year.  I was told to call in mid January to see when I could get scheduled.  
    Finally in March, the workers came out the fix the cement work.  I had to go around with them to show them the cracks (twice) and the concave valleys that they didn't seem to notice in November.  The leaky window vent was going to be replaced with a new one, but the company sent the workers up from Cincinnati with the wrong size.  Since it was Saturday, the supply shop wasn't open, so they could not replace it.  They gave me the impression that they would call and make an appointment ASAP. No call though.  At this point, I fixed the leaky window with a higher quality weather seal myself.  
    I also forgot to mention that I requested to speak to a supervisor a number of times.  He was always out of the office and never returned my calls.  I filed a complaint with the BBB, but the resolution they offered was $150 towards a future service.  I replaced all of my basement windows already!  Where would I want a glass block window on my main floor?  Assuming I was idiotic enough to give Dayton Glass Block any more of my business.  I talked to a co-worker about this, and she said that she had a similar experience with this company a couple years ago.  This experience motivated me to join Angie's List, since BBB ratings seem to be pointless.  Dayton Glass Block still has an "A"

    After having problems with another window installer, I called a window distributor to get some names of installers in the area. I got three names, and three estimates, and went with Nu-View. He was punctual for the appointment, measured the windows in just s short time, and had them on order within a week. two weeks later he called to let me know the windows were in and we set up an appointment for installation. Within a week after the windows were in, they were installed! There was a little bit of a weather delay, but everthing was installed as scheduled and with no complaints. Nu-View windows always returned calls quickly, called when they said they would, showed up on time, and always had my window information file readily available when I called. Note: He installs other brands of windows, but I have a preference for the alside vinyl replacement windows. A good bang for your buck when you just want a basic high performance window.

    Not Very Good. He installs a couple lines of windows and recommended a rental line model when he was out for the estimate since the house was either going to be sold or rented. Since the previous owners had went to great lengths to insulate the home, I decided to go with a slightly more expensive higher performing model that had low e / argon energy star. I paid half upfront and the windows were ordered. ~4 weeks later I hadn't heard anything, so I called to check on the windows. They windows were in and we set up a time for installation at that point. Since the house was being rehabbed, I had a lock box on it and gave him the code to do the work there without me present. When I did stop over to inspect the work, I found that the wrong windows had been installed -- the rental line window. When I called the company, I got the "you really didn't want the other more expensive ones anyway" and that he would adjust the price to the cheaper windows.
