    Harville Home Improvement LLC
Couldn't ask for a better job from anyone! Tom Harville is very friendly and professional. He and his crew did an outstanding job on our siding replacement. Can't beat the price, communication or quality. Highly recommended and I will be using his company again for future home improve projects.

    Primo Exteriors LLC
House was built in 1930 and has had a couple additions over the years.
James came out in July for the estimate, had some great ideas for the roof and house. (Recommended the Storm rated shingles, most would think of this as an up-sell. But we actually got a discount on our Home owner's insurance policy)   Archie & his crew started work on the roof, super professional and cleaned up daily.  One of the biggest challenges to the roof project was re-sloping a portion to encompass a new covered porch and to eliminate an old flat tar roof from a previous addition. Archie knocked it out of the park, completely changing the look of our home from street adding curb appeal.  House wrap, soffit, siding and gutters followed the roof work. Attention to detail is an understatement. The crew made us feel at ease and kept us in the loop the entire time. Asking questions to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. And they were able to make changes on the fly.
    Went above and beyond.
Would recommend and use them again & again

Primo Exteriors did an excellent job on my siding. The crew was very nice and cleaned up after each day they worked. They were very particular on the small details as far as trim and fixtures. The trim around the windows turned out better than when the house was new. James Cox the owner was a little hard to get in touch with at first but I found out he had voice message problems and you cannot plan for those type of problems. I started texting him and found out what was going on and he responded  back immediately with me texting until his phone problem was resolved. Very honest and up front. I would definatley use them again.

    Craftsmen Home Improvements

We completed our demo & prep work on Jan 15--and had previously arranged with Kevin to have the cabinets delivered on Jan 19  The installers (a subcontractor named VIAGROUP) arrived with the cabinets bright & early on the 19th (a Monday) and were done that Friday (the 23rd).   VIAGROUP (a father & son team of professional handymen) out of Camden, OH did an absolutely fantastic job.  They were both extremely professional, punctual, highly organized, and very meticulous.  On top of that, they were very personable, considerate, and eager to answer any questions we had as the work progressed.

We had one minor problem after the cabinet work was completed and we tried to move our refrigerator into the space allotted for it.  Our fridge was slightly bowed out on the sides and exceeded the tolerances allowed for it by about 3/8 inch.   We notified Kevin right away and, within a day or two, VIAGROUP came back and reconfigured the corner cabinet spacers to provide enough room for the fridge.  Fits great now!

We also had dents and dings and chipped paint in some of the cabinet doors (a factory issue; not Craftsmen or VIAGROUP).  We notified Kevin and he contacted the cabinet maker who sent out a factory rep right away.  The factory rep agreed to have the doors repaired/refinished as needed.   Within a few days, a Professional Furniture Service (Amelia, OH) technician came to examine the cabinets.  He made minor repairs to several of the cabinets on-site, but had to take some of the doors back to the shop to properly redo the paint job.   He brought the doors back, after about two weeks, on Feb 27 and reinstalled them.  They look great!

Throughout these very minor "setbacks", Kevin was very responsive and kept us informed every step of the way.  We love our new cabinets!

We love our new quartz countertops as well!  Craftsmen's subcontractor/Mark Boeckman delivered and installed about 30 feet of countertops (along with our new sink) within a couple of hours.   They fit perfectly against the walls and the corner seams are virtually invisible.

Craftsmen Home Improvements is aptly named.  They and their subcontractors are true craftsmen and experts in their respective fields.  And Kevin was highly professional, personable, and very responsive to any of our questions or concerns.  He oversaw the entire project to a very successful conclusion.   My wife & I would definitely Craftsmen Home Improvements for any home improvement project.

    Ravlins Roofing & Painting
I need help with small household repairs - inside and out - what I needed wasn't in the scope of Mr. Ravlins availability but he gave me references to "handyman" sorts of services.  I also learned about the painting side of their company.  They have the capability of scheduling even just one room in a home.  Even though I did not hire them for anything at this time, I will definitely keep them in my resource notes for roofing, painting and spouting in the future.

    Gardner Restoration
The restoration of the house turned out very well. It took about six months to complete the job which we had agreed upon. They finished on the scheduled date and kept me very informed of what they were doing. They worked well with the insurance company. When we had the final inspection we found a couple things that needed to be looked at, they were extremely responsive and came back out. I was very impressed with the company and how the site manager or owner was always there. They were also very accommodating and flexible to work with.

    Sears Home Improvement Products
Sears came out on 5/23/12 and provided an estimate for the work mentioned above. After about 2hrs of surveying the work and discussing the work to be performed I agreed to have the work done, contracts were signed and financing was secured. The next day 5/24/12 another gentleman showed up to take final measurements (more exact to order material) and discuss the work to be completed. This gentleman advised the work should begin in about 2 weeks. So far so good. Two weeks came and went, I did not hear from Sears so I decided to call the gentleman that the sales rep advised would be my 1 point of contact during the entire project. I called this person on 6/11 left a voice mail early in the AM, never heard back. Called again in the morning on 6/12 left yet another voice mail to the same person, never heard back.In the evening of 6/13 I received a call from the original sales rep (how he knew I called I had no idea since I left a VM with another person) he asked if I had heard from anyone, I informed him no and he said I should be hearing something the very next day, this would have been 6/14. Never heard from anyone.
In the evening of 6/15 I finally heard from someone out of the Columbus Oh office, (in fact everyone I was dealing with was out of this office) this gentleman advised me that job they quoted was "grossly" under estimated and the work would cost an additional $2600.00. Needless to say I was shocked as I had a signed contract for $2600.00 less. Tom Drew's proposed resolution was to split the cost. I was so upset at that point I told them to cancel the work as they were not living up to the contract.
That weekend after thinking about what just took place I decided that I still wanted the work done and at the price that was quoted. That is when the major run around started. I tried to talk with someone a Sears corp. offices to explain what took place as at this point I had no faith in the Columbus Ohio office, basically I was told they had nothing to do with Sears home improvement, they only handled service issues as it related to their stores. Long story short after being transferred all over the place with Sears I ended up talking back with Tom Drew in the Columbus office. This was on 6/18, after talking with Tom again I advised him that I was at the point of going to the BBB concerning the issue and he asked that before I do that to give him a chance to try and work this out with his boss. He called back, said they would honor the original quote and I would now be hearing back from the project coordinator (you know the 1 guy who was supposed to be my number 1 contact all the way, they guy that never returned my calls!!). When I finally spoke with Steve B. he apologized for all of the trouble I have been through and wanted a chance to win back my faith in Sears. This was after hearing about all the excuses why I had the problems I had, boy the personnel in this office really likes to pass the buck, I heard it all. Anyway, Steve advised he felt the work "should" begin  on 6/25, 7/2 at the latest. They were to get back and confirm this date. Well guess what, even after wanting to win back my faith in Sears, I never heard back with a start date confirmation. Needless to say at this point I have completely lost faith in Sears home improvement and their ability to perform the work purchased and for the price agreed upon.  On 6/25 I spoke with what I think was the regional sales manager (out of Columbus again) Buddy Eubanks and ultimately canceled the project. What a waist of my time, horrible experience!!
Not sure if this is the way Sears home improvement operates across the US but I will tell you that this office in Columbus has service issues. I honestly could not believe the runaround I received not to mention the lack of follow up. The right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. I could go on and on, bottom line, start to end very, very, bad customer service from a company that has been around a long time. I would never ever think about Sears for any home improvement project.

    Cost Saver Windows & Siding
The gutters were not included in the contract, but they were destroyed when the crew removed them. I was not home at the time, so was unable to tell the workers the gutters were to be reused. The window installation was completed quickly and done very professionally. The doors took a little longer, and the vinyl siding job seemed to take a very long time. The work was begun on July 13 and the last door was installed on July 31. The owner wanted the balance of payment on July 31 so I wrote the check even though the work was not completely finished. One of the installers was supposed to come back on August 6 to complete the job (re-installing an outside electric outlet which was inadvertently covered with siding and caulking around the porch rails). When no one came I called the office number and left a message with the answering service. When no one called me back I called again in 2 hours, then the installer called me and we arranged for him to complete the work on August 9. He came, but was much later than we had arranged. The installers cleaned up pretty well, but left scraps in several small garbage cans. My neighbor was kind enough to help me put these scraps into garbage bags so they could be put in the cans the garbage collectors actually pick up. The work done does look good, but the job just took too long. I inspected the work before they siding crew left and there were quite a few places where things needed to be "cleaned up," including several weep hole covers in the windows which were missing, so please be sure you inspect the work carefully. The salesman, Ricky, was very nice and patient, and took time to explain all the work to me. This work was done during an extreme hot spell, so this may have contributed to the length of time it took to complete the job.
