Appliance Repair reviews in Miamisburg

  • I had a warranty with Sears for my Kenmore dishwasher. The pump went out after having the dishwasher for 1.5 years. Of course they used a subcontractor, Sprint Appliance in Middletown, OH. I waited for 6 weeks for a pump and a control panel to be delivered to the subcontractor. I was told multiple times by Sears that I would be called with an update by the subcontractor, that they would call me next day, the part was on the truck, the part was back ordered, the part was in transit, "just wait one more day" they would say, and etc. Always a different story every time I inquired on the status of my order and repair. Needless to say, Sears' customer service is non-existent and I was on the phone for over two hours tying to rectify my problem without resolution. I ended up canceling my Master Protection Warranty and receiving a pro-rated refund. That is all they would offer to resolve my complaints and a quick verbal "sorry". This was not would I would expect from a company with a reputation for good service and appliances. What happened to the actual Sears repair techs? I will never again be purchasing from Sears, specifically buying their warranty.

  • We scheduled the appointment a week ahead, to arrange the day off. My partner works from home, and essentially "shut down" her business for the day since they would need to remove the in wall unit in the office. They never came - no phone call, nothing. I finall called the office about 4. The woman that answered said we were on the schedule, but made no effort to find out where they were or if they were going to make it to our house. We've used them for many years, but will look for a new company now.

  • The stove work hasn't been done yet, but the refrigerator is complete. The problem with the refrigerator was that it was accumulating ice at the bottom in the freezer. So he installed tubing to redirect the water out of there to prevent the ice buildup. So far that problem seems to have been corrected.

  • I called Tom today hoping he could come by my home on 10/15 when I would again be working at home.  Although I live in Miami Township, way south of Dayton compared to his location, he said he'd try to come by once he finished his appointment in Huber Heights since I was working from home today.  I told him my problem and the problem code the range was displaying.  He called me back and said it was probably the oven temperature sensor (which is a part he carries on his truck), and he'd be at my home in 30 minutes.  Wow, I was so happy I wouldn't have to wait 9 more days as I had asked.  He was here on time.  I showed him the stove and he told me it could be the clock instead of the temperature sensor which made sense to me.  He quickly diagnosed the problem as the sensor and replaced it.  He was very professional and I was very happy.  He is now programmed on my phone as he is now my repairman for all my appliances.  I gave him a C on price only because I don't have a clue if it was high or low; however, I do know he is professional, courteous, prompt, and very knowledgeable.  He is the ONLY appliance repair man I'll use.

  • We used MR APPLIANCE in Dayton.  Our washing machine would not drain.  We called and they were able to fit us in that same day.  They explained the pricing over the phone.  We would pay a service charge if we did not have them repair our washer, but one flat exact rate for the repair.  The repair woman came promptly and figured out the problem in about 10 seconds.  She then fixed the problem quickly and suggested we replace the hoses leading to the machine.  We had never done this so replaced them.  The price was very good for what we needed. i would recommend them and will use them again if I ever need anything.
  • The icemaker was broken. We had tried to give them the model number when we called for the repair but they didn't want it because he'd have the parts on his truck. Not so much. 4 visits (one at 9pm) later, and assorted parts later, it still did not work. My husband finally replaced the icemaker itself by himself. He called the company to make a complaint about service. He was not in a foul mood only trying to tell them that the repair was not done properly. They had fixed the 2ndary problems but not the main issue. After asking for the customer service mgr his call was transferred and he explained the issues Then his call was transferred to Michelle. She wanted to know why he was calling so, he explained again. She said since he had already done the repair there was nothing they could do. She then proceeded to escalate the tone of the conversation ( we fixed it ourselves. we waited too long, etc) until my husband finally had enough and told her we would protest the charges with the credit card co. She said and quot;Good Luck with thatand quot; and hung up on him..

  • This was the second time we had to have the short repaired, the nut came off due to the vibration of machine. The first time was a little over a year ago, the repair was made and he did not charge for the visit as it had been fixed before. This was even with it being outside of the warranty for their work.

  • .Technician tested range, explained the of test. He then told me what part needed to be replaced. He did not have the part for my range. we discussed using a substitute part he had or ordering the manufacturers part. I decided it would be better to replace with the part from manufacturer.
He ordered the part and gave me an expected date for the arrival.
I was called when the part arrived and a return appointment was scheduled. The technician arrived when scheduled, installed and tested the part.
The technician was professional and polite, while answering my questions as he was working.

  • The technician arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time and informed me that he would need to order a new timer for my clothes dryer. He returned the next day with the new part and installed it. At my request he also replaced the washer hoses. I was favorably impressed by the technician's professionalism and efficiency, and everything in my laundry room is now in tip-top shape. I had previously called another appliance repair service, but they informed me that it would be two weeks before they could come. I was delighted that Miamisburg Appliance could come the next day. I will use this company again for any future appliance service needs.

  • They have been satisfactory but the last guy that was here kind of told me a story that wasn't true. I would use them again. I have been satisfied with them. They have been pretty responsive and done everything I've asked them to do.
