Health Care Facility reviews in Mentor

I am utilizing this Medical service as part of my Medicare benefits. I had cataract surgery performed last year 2013 which I am entitled to free lenses after the surgery. Since you can only have free eye lenses after the surgery is performed I waited until I had both eyes done, thereby having to submit one claim for both eyes. I got my new lenses and glasses then submitted my claim in 12/13.

I have waited six months to receive a response regarding payment. After numerous call from both myself and the eye glass store for status of payment I was denied because SUMMACARE failed to review my claim properly. I am having SUMMERCARE perform a second pass at this bill for full payment, but I am wait another 30 days for a final approval which now extends my wait to seven months. At this time I am still not sure if the bill will be paid??

My husband and I have been going here for almost twenty years. They are a facility that you can go to where you can get everything done. They offer Doctors of every spectrum. You don’t have to wait very long to get an appointment and sometimes you can get in the next day if things work out. The ease of getting around is great and even the area for admitting cancer is in the same area. You can get everything from radiology, breast exams, and blood work. They have a doctor on site in every specialty that can perform the work.

    Medical Mutual
With them, we can pretty much go anywhere we want to. It has just sort of been a progression through the years that this is what we have been happy with along the way, so we stayed with them. When I was teaching, my insurance through my school I did not have to pay anything for healthcare and my prescriptions co-pay was a $1. Since we can basically choose anything with Medical Mutual, it has not been a cost extra out of our pocket. Our overall experience with them has been excellent. Regarding responsiveness, you can call their number on their card and they really are very good. I was out at my daughter and family, and I got sick there and I called them and I said do I have permission to go to a place and she said well you are covered you do not need to even ask, you can just go. I had other questions that had come up and they have always been very good. Regarding coverage, I think we are lucky to have what we have right now.

    LakeWest Hospital
We always chose LakeWest Hospital even though it is further away from the other spouse's place of work than LakeHeath's newer TriPoint Hospital since the care and attention and communication are much better at LakeWest than we have experienced at TriPoint.
I hope there is never a reason for us to have to go to a Cleveland hospital (Cleveland Clinic or University Hospitals) since parking is free at LakeWest and food services are much less expensive than I understand Cleveland hospitals to be. And the hospital's cafeteria provides good food for a fair price for visitors and patients alike. And it seemed on this recent stay that food service is available more often/longer than it used to be, for patients and visitors alike.
LakeWest is always very bright and clean.  The cleaning staff is very quiet and does not intrude.

The seminar provided a great deal of information but in a manner that didn't leave me feeling lost or overwhelmed. They followed up by emailing information from the seminar. Many brokers from their agency were present so they heard what we did. Multiple seminars were provided at various locations in NE Ohio. I only wish a video of the seminar would be/have been available to review along with the handouts.

    Cleveland Clinic
Their doctors are okay, and they're above average. My main problem with them is that it's impossible to talk to your doctor without going through a chain of a bunch of other people. In addition, their billing system is inaccurate and not effective. On the other hand, considering their doctors, they're pretty good.

    Lake Health TriPoint Medical Center
Dr. Lele tells me to go to the emergency room right away and he said he was right behind me. He did not come in until midnight and they never gave me anything for my chest pain, I was there for a day and a half.

I have had mixed experiences with them. They were not very helpful with insurance matters and I had to switch to someone else. However, it is good right now. There is a lady pharmacist and she is very nice. This pharmacy is also very convenient because it is close to my house.

The employees at Walgreens are friendly and usually personable. They always take care of any questions they can answer, and they're reasonably priced. I'll probably always fill my prescriptions with them.

There were no problems. I have had prescriptions filled here on a number of occasions. This location has a drive-thru window, which can be very convenient when I'm on the way home from the doctor's office with sick kids in the car. The prescription was ready when promised. The $7.00 reflects our portion after insurance. This location also offers coupons periodically for new or transferred prescriptions.
