    JNR Home Maintenance Inc
New kitchen cabinets, counters, flooring and trim throughout the whole house, and lots of drywall work. Also, made the dividing wall between the kitchen and dining room a half wall to open the space. Very nice work.

    Schwartz Construction
They did great work! They were friendly and professional. We had a manufacturing issue with the door itself and had to replace it after it was installed. Schwartz came back out and made needed adjustments at no extra cost. We will use them again when we have a need.

Horrible. He was friendly, seemed ambitious. I met him 2 weeks before thanksgiving. I wanted the work done by christmas. he said he be there the week before thanksgiving, planned to have work done in 3 days tops. started making excuses why he wasn't able to make it. i said after thanksgiving would be fine. he called and ask for the payment up front. like a dummy i gave it to him in check form. his wife cashed the check. we were getting close to christmas when he finally made it over on a sunday and only did the bedroom and the one piece in the kitchen. he said he'd finish later that week, which never happened. i finally had to tell him i was going to the police unless he returned my money, my home depot card. he wanted to give me a postdated check. i said no, either cash or i go to the police. he finally brought cash over and card. since then, i have realized he removed spacers from the kitchen floor and put the trim in rather than making the spacers flush with the floor. i now have to hire someone to fix this problem as the pieces of flooring are coming apart due to no spacers there.

    Acclaim Renovations & Design
My husband contacted Debbie at One Man and Hammer. I followed up with a phone call and scheduled an appointment for Bill to come out to measure the bi fold doors, as well as, measurements needed for 2 new exterior doors and new trim. *** We never received a quote for services from Bill or the office. I followed up nearly three weeks later on a Friday, and was directly told by Debbie that I would have a formal quote via email by Monday.. That was also NEVER sent, nor did we receive a phone call *** This is blatantly unprofessional and rude. This company just lost a small job, but we would NEVER reconsider them for this job or the upcoming Master and hall bath remodeling. There is no excuse for this type of mismanagement.

    Twin Improvements LLC
Chris was very responsive. When I called he said he could be out in a day or two for an estimate. It happened that he came on the same day as the insurance adjuster. His estimate was reasonable and Chris was extremely conscientious about matching 13-year old shingles, 29-year old siding and the stain for the deck railing. I initially had an issue with the flashing color match. He addressed that to our complete satisfaction without hesitation. Would definitely hire again and would definitely recommend.

    Paul Baucco Construction Inc.
Mr Baucco rescued us from a job that another contractor left unfinished after taking money from us. The other contractor's worker was supposed to simply repair the shower floor by inserting a "custom made" insert that we had to wait 6 weeks to get and pay for upfront. We had been told this would not require opening up the walls, but the worker came on the scheduled day and convinced us that he had to open the walls up to put the product in. He then commenced to demolish the lower half of the shower walls and the old shower floor, saying that there was some wood rot. After demolishing the shower floor, he said he could not put in the custom insert, so he went to Home Depot to buy an "off the shelf" insert. He placed that in the shower, then left us with the walls still demolished, a shower floor insert that was off center, and a pile of construction debris that had fallen into the crawlspace. Mr. Baucco was pleasant, prompt, and quoted us a reasonable price to fix this mess. The man he sent for the job (Dan) did an excellent job--if you did not tell anyone what had happened, I don't think anyone would know that the bottom half of the shower was rebuilt. This job required a lot of skill due to being matched with the original out of line older walls and off center shower floor. He did not ask for payment until the job was done. The work area was left neat. We would definitely hire this company again.

The experience has always been good. Chris is punctual and professional, but also friendly and easy to work with. He is very experienced and knows how to handle many problems around the house. While he was at the house, something else went wrong, and he had no trouble adding that to his list of "honey dos". I had used him multiple times, and am currently on the waiting list to have another set of chores done. The new list includes painting, checking a leak behind a wall, fixing lights, and some other things. He also gave me good advice on fixing a problem with damp basement walls, although he didn't do the work that was needed (regrading).

    Delauro Remodeling & Repair Co
Delauro Remodeling & Repair did a great job! They were able to complete all my jobs on my to do list. They fixed cracks in the walls, doors that were not shutting properly or would not shut at all, caulking, installing a couple new light fixtures, bathroom fan replacement, fixed bathroom faucets and replaced shower fixtures. Very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them and will use them again.

    Shaffer to the Rescue
He walked into the bathroom, flushed the toilet....pointed with his pocket knife that it was well into the level of code for how much it filled the toilet. Proceed to walk down the stairs and said that will be $30... I paid him .....he is a large dude! He commented "that was an easy job"....and left.
