    I saw an ad for converting the bath tub to a shower by cutting the tub and placing a special insert where the cutout was, so you can simply step into the tub over about a 6 inch high step. This is the best alternative to spending $14,000 to have a walk in tub installed which would have required the bathroom to be torn apart and remodeled just to fit the walk in tub in. Thats a huge expense for anyone who is on a fixed income. We decided that the cutout would be the best way to get a shower without having to lift a foot over a 15 inch lip of the tub. We have a shower chair and that works well but for my better half raising her knees over the tub was very painful, since she has arthritis in her knees, and back. So I talked to Jim at Ohio Walk in Showers, and he explained the procedure about cutting the tub and installing a custom insert to allow stepping in easily. I sent a picture of the tub to Jim, so he could determine if it's steel, fiberglass, or cast iron. It turned out the tub is cast iron. Jim's son James came out to look at the tub, and showed us the inserts that they use. We decided to have the job done, and in a few days Jim, and his son came and prepared the bathroom for the work. I had everything removed from the bathroom per Jim's request because cast iron makes a mess with black powdery material, so they covered what needed covering, and put a fan in the window to move the dust and air outside, and began to cut the tub. The job took about 3 1/2 hours and they placed weights on the new insert to make sure it bonds properly and said we could use it in 24 to 48 hours. They were very professional, and cleaned the bathroom so you could not tell anything was done. We let the insert set up for 48 hours just to be sure it was ok then we were able to use the tub very easily. I firmly believe this method is the easiest, and best way for people with mobility issues who wish to step into the tub and take a shower.. Thank you Jim, and James, the job went better than we thought it would, especially for a cast iron tub.

    I wanted to change color of tub from olive green to white without a costly remodel. I have one of those one piece fiberglass tubs with sides, top with light, and front. Mark did a great job with the color. Just finished today. He told me that if I wasn't happy for any reason he would come back and take care of any issues I have. I want to give it a little time before I decide if I need him to come back. I should say that tub enclosure is 40 years old and in good shape. I just couldn't take the late 70's color anymore!

    Wonderful experience from the start. The office staff was courteous and prompt in returning my phone call. She made an appointment right away and worked around my schedule. Dan came out and repaired a fairly large crack in my fiberglass shower wall. He was prompt, took his shoes of and made sure everything was clean when he left. The repair is perfect. I will definitely recommend him.

    It was fine. They were supposed to come over and patch a thing but they never, but other than that it turned out fine. My daughter dropped something on it and they were supposed to come back and repair it.

    The end results are very good and the whole unit looks basically new.  Exactly what we wanted and highly recommend this process for anyone wanting to change the look of an old tub/shower.
    Not everything with the process, however, went as good as one would hope.   The repair person arrived on time both days he was here.  He removed his shoes at the door, which is always appreciated.  His appearance was less than professional as his clothes appeared dirty and unwashed.  That did not effect the work he did, however.
    In going over what he would be doing he indicated that he would be taping the painted walls around the tub and basically said "Plan on paint coming off the walls."  He said it in a way that made it sound like it was a given fact and he would not make any effort to limit or minimize the damage.  This was after we had just painted the walls the week before in anticipation of the refinishing job because when the estimator came to give us the estimate, he said they wanted to be "the last one in" to finish up our remodeling project.  I would have much preferred to repair and paint the walls AFTER the tub had been refinished than do it a second time to repair the damage done from taping the freshly painted walls.
    The Friday before they were to arrive on Monday morning, we got a call reminding us of our appointment.  They also emailed us information on how to get ready for the refinishing job.  One of the things we had to do was remove the toilet.  Come on, why not give us this information at the time of the estimate (~ 8 weeks before the scheduled appointment.)
    The re-finisher also asked to set up a fan and run an expandable plastic tunnel to a window in the bedroom next to the bathroom to help exhaust fumes from the refinishing.  I said that would be okay.  Unfortunately we now have a 14" white circle on the screen from exhausting the white "paint" while refinishing the tub. 
    Also before starting the workman indicated that the refinishing process would smooth out the bottom of the tub, making the tub surface more slippery for showers.  He said he could add a slip resistant coating to the bottom of the tub to solve this problem.  I said that would be fine.  Imagine my surprise to see a charge for this on the final bill!  There was no indication there would be an additional charge for doing this.  He made it sound like he was doing us a favor so we didn't slip and fall.  This extra charge was the same as the Angie's discount that they offer, basically eliminating it. 
    All and all, we are very happy with the way the tub/shower looks, but the way the service was delivered could use some improvement to match to quality of the finished product.

    Got name off internet - spoke on phone and emailed pictures of tub for an estimate.  The owner was knowledgeable and extremely helpful.  We agreed on a date and time.  Called to discuss replacing shower head and adding grab bars.  All questions answered and when we couldn't find the recommended shower head (with 80" hose) he purchased it on the way over.  He arrived on time, took care not to track any dirt or construction dust in house (removed shoes many times as he went out to cut things, etc.).  Went out of his way to reinforce tub sides next to cut out to make sure it was stable and safe.  He finished in a few hours and cleaned up completely.  He did leave the trash in the shed for us to discard but that was no problem.  My brother asked if he would do a favor and look at the toilet in the back bathroom and he made a minor repair to the works without a charge.  We would highly recommend him to anyone for any type of service he offers.

    He did exactly what they said they would do and they did it one day should they would do it. And they do it
    for what they said they would charge. I was extremely happy with them. We actually went to their showroom and there was a lady named Amy, and she was quite knowledgeably helpful. Then a young man came out and did the actual work. His name is Anthony, he was a very polite young man. We had no bad experiences with them.There was a slight problem but they step right up and took care of it immediately.

    WOW!  I am really impressed!  Mark came out the day after I spoke with him about repairing a crack & chip in a bathroom sink and a ding in our acrylic bathtub. I also had him take a look at a cracked floor tile in another bathroom.
    He called the next day, as promised, to tell me he was on his way, and arrived at the appointed time.
    He took a look at our jobs, told me he could fix the bathtub on the spot, and did so.  It's a good patch job, for sure -- but would have looked even nicer if he'd had the same crosshatch pattern to imprint the fresh patch.  It doesn't match exactly, but it's small and not very noticeable.  Note that he did advise me that it would not match exactly, and I CHOSE to have him go ahead with the repair; so the "B" is not fair to him, to be honest.  His price on the tub repair was extremely reasonable
    Mark explained how he would have to go about repairing the crack in our sink, and recommended against it as it could damage it beyond repair.  He also recommended against replacing the cracked floor tile unless we're ready to completely regrout (which we are not).  I very much appreciate his honesty and integrity on this.
    I asked him to bid on a future addition to our bathroom cabinetry which will involve cutting out part of the Formica backsplash and replacing the wall-size mirror with two decorative ones above the double sink.  He also made a couple of recommendations on sourcing the cabinet.  His bid on our future work was reasonable as well.
    Mark was polite, professional, responsive, punctual, clean, honest, personable, and did quality work -- all the things you'd want a service provider to be.

    It turned out beautiful. They were very professional in handling all the work. My overall experience with them was great and the quality of their work was excellent. They had a ad in the paper for $99 and my cost ended up being $345. I would use them again in the future.
