    Brian troubleshot the problem and found that the thermal fuse needed replacement which he did and unit is working normal now. Brian was professional in all areas of his service and his service was done at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend him to anyone needing appliance repair.

    I called Central Vacuum Technicians and was able to have a service call within 2 days. Barry Leven, the owner, and an assistant came to my home and were very professional and courteous, starting the job immediately to determine the cause of the problem. He told me what he was going to do and went ahead in a timely manner to repair the system. I was very pleased with his work and would recommend CVT to family and friends.

    Fred's Appliance Service
    I had hired Fred's in the past to do some repair work on an appliance under warranty, so contacted them when my oven stopped heating. They were able to schedule a technician promptly and he arrived on time as scheduled on a Tues. Technician appeared knowledgable and diagnosed the issue. A part had to be ordered and he scheduled a return on Friday. Part arrived and technician replaced it. Oven seemed to be heating while technician was here. However, later in the day, I was trying it out on various settings and found it still wasn't working properly. Called and technician was scheduled for a return visit on Monday. He found the issue, explanation appeared plausible, but had to order two additional parts. Came back on Friday, replaced the parts and now oven is working fine again. To make up for the frustration of needing four visits to complete the work, Fred's only charged me for the service call, first part and labor to replace it. No charge for the additional two parts. I appreciated that customer service mentality.

    Fine -he took the top off the machine and the leak was right on top. He went to get the part and was back shortly after, popped it in and that was it. Took him less than 20 minutes in the home. Maybe was 30 minutes to go get the part and come back.

    We made an appointment with a competitor to fix our old 1960's Caloric wall oven on 9/1 for 9/7 [today] which was their earliest available date. This competitor had previously fixed our oven on multiple occasions, but were still having the same problem. I decided to review Angie's List on 9/5 and saw that AMB was very highly rated, so I decided to give Brian a call. He called me back promptly and even came out later that same afternoon. We are very pleased with the customer service and work performed, and we will use AMB for any future appliance repairs.

    HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERIVICE. They told me they'd try to squeeze me in on a Friday and if they couldn't they'd call to schedule an appointment for the following week. They never called back. I left them a voicemail because they didn't call back, and they never returned that call. I called Monday to schedule and they scheduled me and told me normally the service would be $99.95 but they charge $119.95 (extra $20 for dealing with the warranty company because the calls can take 30+ minutes). Josh shows up the day of the appointment - diagnoses very quickly - 10 minutes - that we need a new dishwasher. He tries to leave before we even get to talk to the warranty company. We stop him and he talks to them for less than 5 minutes. He leaves without providing us any paperwork or documentation. We were still charged the $119.95 plus tax for a service that was less than 20 minutes. I called to ask to get the $20 reimbursed and they refused because my warranty company isn't one they deal with regularly. That was literally the first time they mentioned that to me. Save yourself the aggravation - use someone else who won't scam you. I planned to get other work done - but I will find ANYONE else.

    Bryan, the owner & service rep, was very friendly, courteous and explained each step of what he was checking. He sure knew what he was doing, which is obviously what you want. He was honest and fortunately it was a thermal fuse and was the cheapest of the different things that caused the problem. He vacuumed the whole inside of the dryer and repositioned the vent hose. His rates are cheaper than most repair companies. I'm a tipper if a service provided is exceptional which mine was and he said he didn't want it but I forced it on him. What he said he does with them was very touching. He puts the money in an account for his 9 yr old son. He showed me a check for a tip from a customer which he had the customer make it out in his son's name. I am definitely using him again if needed and I'm going to refer him to other people.
