  • We had an excellent experience throughout the whole process. Rick listened to all the issues we wanted to avoid with the new construction due to the fact that the room wasn't going to have any temperature control and also kept the construction within the estimate cost he had quoted. When issues arose during the project he responded promptly to them and remedied them as well. We highly recommend this company and would hire them again for similar projects.

  • We can't say enough good things about Artisan builders. All of the contractors provided exceptional workmanship, always going the extra mile. They were neat, punctual and professional. Compared to other stories I've heard about building, I have to say our project was a pleasure. It was completed on time and on budget, and the overall finished cottage is beautiful both inside and out. I highly, highly recommend this builder.

  • I had a pretty bad experience from them.  I would not recommend them to anybody.  The guy had a different breed.  The contractor, Jason, had a character.  For three weeks we talked about what I want to be done with the building, we even had a preliminary drawing for the building.  I wanted to go with them because they have low price, he was less than ten thousand than the other companies.  He brought a sub contractor and the whole time I was talking to the man he was on the phone.  When he joined the conversation, he said something that I completely did not want for the building and that just blew my mind.  Then he had to leave for another project.  I just decided not to use him based on his behavior.  If I have to pay a big amount of money I want it to be worth.

  • We wanted a maintenance-free deck with a roof that is fully integrated with the house. Dave Becker was able to incorporate all of our requests in his design and completed the job on time and on budget. All surfaces of the deck are covered in composite materials. He matched the deck roof shingles to the shingles that were already on the house.
The work site was cleaned at the end of each day. The crew was very courteous and detail-oriented. All building codes were met on the first inspection, never having a problem with local regulations or quality.
Becker Building and Construction did an excellent job all around.

  • They were punctual and thorough. We called them because they installed our deck in 1997 and did a fantastic job. We have so enjoyed using it through the years and it has held up with little maintenance required.

  • I was having a new floor installed and the installers found water damage to the sub floor and floor joust.  They had to stop installation until the damage was repaired.  I called 4 contractors for estimates.  TC3 seemed the to be the most knowledgeable.  They also could do it quickly.  They had to remove a very heavy anderson french patio door.  This included the inside molding and the vinyl siding around the door to get to the floor joust.    The two guys who did the work did a great job.  They also explained to me what and why they were doing in each step.  The door, inside molding and outside vinyl siding was reinstalled so that you could not tell that any thing was repaired or removed.  I will use TC3 again.  Their work was great.  The only problem I had was the price - just a little high.  I have no complaints about the workers or work.

  • We hired them in June and they notified us they couldn't do it in October. They made promises all Summer 2011, and in the end said we should use someone else, they weren't able to schedule the work! I do believe they would have been good had they done anything. It was too late to get anyone else, so now we have to wait until next year.

  • Great. It took them 3 days to replace the wood with ATech (a plastic product that looks like wood) and just a few hours to replace the siding. I would definitely use them again. They did a very professional job.

  • Well, we undertook a MASSIVE first floor remodeling project. It encompassed about 1600 square feet in total. We basically gutted the entire first floor (dinning room, living room, kitchen, office, bathroom, great room, laundry room and breakfast room) and updated EVERYTHING. Our house was about 12 years old and survived two boys (now 5 and 8), their toys, all of our relatives and all of our family parties...but was in a desperate need of updating. In addition, we wanted to remove 2 walls and relocate a third (load bearing). We got 3 quotes on the job. One quote was close to $60k (they were just general contractors who were going to sub everything out and then make an additional 20% on the costs), the second company would only give us a quote if they first signed us up for a $1500 CAD drawing expense (we we felt was a big waste). The second company had about 4-5 handymen on the payroll that they were going to use for the job. The third company (Sir Lewis Construction) had 2-3 guys (all family) that were going to take on several parts of the project (electrical, plumbing, tile work, flooring...etc). Sir lewis's LABOR cost was about what we were expecting before the bidding process. They came with a detailed proposal, were not scared of the load bearing wall or the fact that they were going to have to move plumbing/electrical..etc and sat down with us for quite a while going over the scope of the project. We had some experience with remodeling and felt that Kevin (the owner) was being very honest with us regarding pricing and what he thought was going to need to get done. We ended up signing up. I must say, the unlike most re-modelers, Kevin and Doug were here almost every day (when they couldn't come, we got a call/text saying why they couldn't make it) and I felt like they were as detailed about the work they were doing as I was. We are really picky and SirLewis matched our picky-ness! I loved it!, we had ALL of this started in 2010 and the project finally finished in Feb of 2011 and while we are happy that we are done, we are sad to see Kevin and Doug go. We have really become great friends with them and that is saying A LOT! I would highly recommend them for any remodeling project.

  • MJM was VERY thorough, from moving the appliances, removing trim, installing cement board, to finishing the project with a urethane grout that will need no maintenance/sealing down the road. I was very impressed at how the cement board was first glued, and then screwed down to the existing sub floor. Matt was very good about cleaning up at the end of each day, and was very professional throughout the project.
