Mike and his company did a great job. He did a great job planning for the work. He helped us select all the items used. He has a great eye for selecting items that go well together. He was outstanding on helping us select our cabinets and then matching them with a granite counter top. It looks fantastic. We had several design issues from the original house build and Mike was able to solve every issue. If the cabinets and counter top were not enough he also helped us select the flooring. It was great and the instillation went great also. We have lived in the house for a year and it did change our life (which Mike will tell you for your project as well). We were glad to hire him again for a 2nd phase. He is doing a out door deck and roof with big beam construction.

John Brand did an excellent job at finishing well over a thousand square feet of drywall and texturing the ceiling in a large basement finishing project for me. As a real rookie drywall hanger I personally hung all the drywall in my basement which has nine foot walls. When John first looked at and estimated the job he gave me many pointers as to how to better hang drywall and be certain it is hung securely and properly so as to make the finishing of it go smoothly. I appreciated all of John's insight and looked no further for someone to do the finishing work. John worked incredibly hard and with great mastery as he did his finishing work. To say he is a perfectionist is an understatement. John's goal is to do the job right even if it takes a little more time and product. He is super concerned about preventing any cracks, nail pops etc. from ever occurring. His other major goal is to be certain that the final finish looks amazing, which it does. I would highly recommend John Brand for your drywall work. On a side note, John is also a fun and interesting person to get to know. My wife and I were very comfortable with him working in our home. Our Yellow Lab became good friends with him as did we. Hire John and in the long run you will not regret it.

Planned on (1) adding a ceiling fan to the living room where there wasn't any before. Wire two switches separate for dimmer and fan next to an existing switch. (2) Fix a pedestal sink in Master Bath which was not installed properly by the previous owner. (3) Add a new electrical outlet to the kitchen above an existing inaccessible outlet behind a counter. (4) Move an existing light fixture in main bath up one electrical box distance so it doesn't get hit by a cabinet door when the door is opened. (5) Mount a fluorescent light fixture in garage. (6) Weather strip two Metal doors, front and indoor garage. (7) Add a power outlet and switch to a coat closet for a new light fixture. (8) Add end cap to existing counter top. (9) Redo kitchen sink sprayer hose, but turned out a new faucet was needed, so they installed the new one. (10) Installed a new dryer vent. (11) Add outdoor vent to oven hood. Outcome, in order: I actually had all the materials needed except some minor hardware. They covered everything and despite the volume of cleanup, it was in great shape after they were done. Pictures are included. (1) Ceiling fan went flawless except for some minor chipping by new electrical boxes. They fixed on the second trip to reinstall pedestal sink. (2) Pedestal sink was a wonderful job, nice and secure now. It did take two trips as the wall repair to properly mount the sink needed time to dry. I also got the chance to paint BEHIND the sink while it wasn't there. (3) Original electrical outlet in kitchen had a loose wire so the two outlets in the dining room went dead. They returned, fixed in 10 minutes. (4) Fixture perfectly mounted. Although they could have smoothed out the new "mud" a bit more so sanding wouldn't be needed as bad. (5) Mounted with two screws in 5 minutes on second day. I already had it wired. (6) The magnetic weatherstripping was postponed to better weather. Need to convert from Magnetic stapled style to the new kerf style mounting because original style of magnetic replacements are now obsolete. (7) Installed perfectly, but light switch on other side of wall which was source of power was reinstalled so off was up. (I fixed.) (8) End cap installation postponed to next time they are here for weatherstrip and oven hood vent. (9) Kitchen sink now fully functional, new under-sink valves were needed also. All fixed. (10) Dryer vent perfectly installed where needed. (11) Oven hood vent postponed to better weather. All postponed jobs will be done on the next visit when weather breaks. These jobs were performed in mid-winter. Ann was a little hard to get a hold of at first, but it improved greatly as time went on. I found that email worked out better for our particular conversations. Pictures were taken during first visit. Do I recommend? Yes, they are Highly Recommended.

We were pleased not only with the quality of the completed work, but the comfort we felt having the Marquard staff in our home. We would definitely hire this company for any remodeling or repairs in the future.

Each job was done separately but we werent in a hurry so it took about a month to complete everything. The wall extension is seamless after painting and the window changes were done so that I dont have to paint the walls immediately and look like they were always there.

Dan and team are outstanding! The gentleman that completed the work was punctual and very careful to protect my home while working. The repair was outstanding and perfectly blended in with the previous texture. It looks like the original work. I can't say enough about how great it was to work with Dan and his team!

I can not say enough good things about Dan and his team. My husband is remodeling our home and doing almost everything on his own. One of his greatest skills IS drywall and mudding. However, when it came to matching the stamped/textured pattern on our ceilings he just could not get it to look like it matched/blended with the rest of the ceiling/rooms. Dan came in and was so very helpful. He gave Mark advice and made our ceilings look as if no work had ever been done...and let me tell you this house has been gutted from the floor up. The customer service and ceiling work provided to us was so greatly appreciated. Not only was the customer service and quality of the work done amazing, but the quickness of the service provided was outstanding! We've consulted with many other professionals in different trades, and I have to say my husband found that Dan has been one of the most helpful, talented, and all around great guys to work with. Thank you Dan for helping make what has been a stressful remodel a little bit easier because of the quality of your work!!!!

    Farnsworth Interiors Drywall & Plaster
Filled in an unevenly cut hole in the drywall cut out by the plumber who had to replace a bathroom main outlet pipe.  I was told by James that an uneven cut is typically standard in such cases of difficult access for bathroom outlet pipes.  James did encounter a rather difficult problem because of the location the drywall had to be cut, and, yet, James' excellent skill placed the new drywall evenly throughout the new piece replacement.   The drywall job done by James was excellent.  James fixed the wall so well it is completely undetectable that a hole was made in that part of the drywall.

    The Plumbing Source
I had a slow leak in a pipe in my master bath.  After they came out and fixed the leak I asked them to give me a quote on replacing the shower, fixtures, toilet and floor.  They were out the next day to look at the job and give me a quote.  They had time in their schedule to start immediately and finished the job on time at a reasonable price.  They painted the walls and ceiling and even installed the shower doors as an add-on at a very reasonable price.  The new bathroom looks great!  Danny did an awesome job and was friendly and accommodating.  I had talked to a number of contractors who didn't want to touch this job because it was small.  Not the Plumbing Source!  I highly recommend them and would use them again.

    Farnsworth Interiors Drywall & Plaster
I tried to reach him many many times over a few weeks times. Finally he responded and came out. We set up a time for him to do the work and then he never came out again. I tried to get my money back from Angies list and they said my time for refunds was over and I wouldn't be able to get my money back. Farnsworth said he would give my money back and then he never followed up on that either. I have called him two more times since then and I have now given up on the whole thing.
This has not been a good experience. I would NOT get involved again.
