  • I'm very happy with American Wood Reface's work. The quality & workmanship are excellent. All of the drawer fronts & the doors are thick, solid wood. They installed all new drawers in place of the hard to get into cabinets I had. The only part of my cabinets that aren't brand new are the boxes which are covered with real wood to match the doors & the interior shelves. I think their product is a really great & less expensive alternative to totally replacing the original cabinets. I would definitely recommend them to anyone upgrading their kitchen..

  • I knew that Danny was the one I wanted to do my kitchen when he came to give me an estimate. He had great ideas, many options, reasonable pricing and was very personable. Whenever I called him he always returned my calls. Danny and his right hand man, Dominic, make a great team. They both took great care to do everything to perfection. Danny helped me pick out cabinets and flooring. He sent me to wonderful people to pick out granite for the countertops and tile for the backsplash. When I wasn't sure about the tile, Danny even met my husband and I on a Saturday to help us figure it out and select something that we would love. He put in extras like a pull out garbage cabinet, a wonderful cabinet that holds my heavy electric mixes and brings it up to counter level when I need to use it. I have pull out drawers and a two shelf lazy susan to maximize the space in a corner that would otherwise just be wasted. The kitchen has an opening by the sink that looks out into the family room. Danny used matching wood to the cabinets and created a molding, along with a wonderful light fixture, to create a beautiful area that enhances the kitchen. He extended the tile backsplash on either side of the opening and put granite on the bottom. Danny added an island with many pull out shelves, large and small, to give me much more storage. The island is amazing and greatly adds to the kitchen. Dominic is an expert electrician who made sure I had ample outlets and wonderful under the cabinet lighting. Danny is an expert plumber who added a water filter, as well as an instant hot that matches the faucet. Because he is such a good guy, he even fixed a problem in our bathroom that had nothing to do with the kitchen remodeling. Absolute Kitchens and Baths is a first rate company. I will absolutely use them again.

  • We interviewed several painting contractors prior to selecting Garrity Painting to complete the work. John was by far the most knowledgeable and thorough in explaining what need to be done in order to have a high quality outcome. He has a significant amount of experience in cabinet refinishing which was our first priority. He continued to fine tune the finish on the cabinets even though it required more coats than originally anticipated. This extra attention to make sure the job was to our satisfaction was done without hesitation and for no additional cost. His crew was prompt and extremely courteous throughout the process. He added some additional work that we requested and was still able to complete the project on the original timeline. We appreciated that John was on the job every day and did not simply send others to do the work.

  • I love the way the kitchen turned out. This is the second project they did for me. The first one was a bathroom. I've very impressed with everyone at Gerome's & everyone involved in the remodel. On time, done when promised. Excellent work.

  • This work was for a tiny kitchen - but American Wood Reface managed my job as with the professionalism and perfectionism as if it has been a huge job. Working with them was a pleasure. The initial consultation helped me to decide on the changes I wanted to make in the kitchen, and they were supremely helpful during the follow-up visit to choose the finishes. The selection of cabinet doors (woods, stains, styles) was excellent and I found exactly what I wanted. The team was very helpful in discussing styles and colors for my countertop and handles/drawer pulls. They were patient and thoughtful in explaining the advantages and disadvantages of features. Jason was meticulous during the detailed measuring; and we refined the plans at that time. I probably wouldn't have thought to even ask for the soft-close hinges and drawer glides - but I love them! The functionality of the pull-out drawers in my pantry has given me usable storage where I formerly had jumbled, disorganized and dysfunctional space. There is a long-lead time for the cabinets to be ordered/built, but once the date was scheduled they never wavered. Pat arrived on time the scheduled start day and was super conscientious! He did beautiful work -- especially considering, remember I said the kitchen was circa 1948? I don't think there was a level surface or a straight line in the entire space. His work is just perfection; it looks beautiful! He ensured I was comfortable with all the details, such as the placement of the door/drawer handles and the way each cabinet door opened. A true craftsman; Pat was also a true gentleman. I felt entirely comfortable having him in my house all day when I was at work. He cleaned up at the end of each day, and finally left me with a kitchen that gives me daily pleasure - I love it! The only drawback I can think of was how long the lead time was to have the work done, but it was well worth the wait. Thank you *Pat* and American Wood Reface!

  • You know, where you go in and out because we took the sandstone out. He put wood in and did cover with a aluminum covering over the outside part. H did everything he needed to protect that. The only thing I had to do is stain the wood and put the sealant on. I also have a family room that has an entrance there in and out of the house to our patio and such. The previous owners of the house had built it and the threshold coming in is wood and it was beginning to show its wear and tear so I was kind of concerned. He looked at it and he did take care of that too. He is a very, very nice individual.

  • Jeff Tortorea, business owner, and Andrea, designer, came to our home to look at our current kitchen and discuss our renovation thoughts and objectives.  They were able to offer food-for-thought on what we might gain in storage space yet not incur a higher-than-necessary cost to modify two base cupboards.  They took measurements and fairly quickly prepared a proposal which we reviewed with them in their office / showroom so that we could see material samples.
However, they soon helped us understand that we would gain much more with complete cabinet replacement rather than simply having a couple of the cupboards modified as well as the built-in oven eliminated (and replaced with a slide-in range) along with the other renovations desired.
Jeff and Andrea were quick to respond to our questions.  They prepared easy-to-understand proposals.  They did not hesitate in trying to satisfy our objectives.
In the end, we decided to go with another remodeler due to product choices which satisfied our desire to maintain the current look of the kitchen since the woodwork and cabinetry carry thru our entire home.

  • Very well.

Several weeks after the kitchen table was delivered, we noticed a crack on the table leg. I called Bill Eden and told him about it. He said he thought they had repaired the problem. He came right out  within a few days and made the repair.

    It seems fine now.

Eden Finishing does nice work. We will use them again next time we need furniture repaired.

  • The first step was the estimator (Ben) came to our house.  He sold us on the product and installation procedures.  It was a no-pressure presentation.  We had a previous estimate from another contractor a few years ago and were turned off.  This estimator was proud of his product and was able to communicate what could be done to our kitchen.
The next step was the measurer (Jason) .  He provided valuable input and suggestions to fine tune the final design.  We did add about $1,000 to the project for details that we desired.
Terry was our carpenter.  He was always punctual and professional.  His skills are phenominal.  The final product exceeded our expectations.
The only downside is that it takes awhile to get on their schedule.  They were four months out scheduling - but the wait was worth it.
    We could not be happier.

  • Mike arrived at 7:30 AM as scheduled. The first job was to disconnect the sink and remove the old vanity. Next, he put the new vanity in place making sure that it was perfectly square. I have an old house and some of the walls aren't perfectly square. Then he fit the new medicine cabinet in place requiring him to cut a notch in the tile to make it fit properly.the light fixture above the cabinet also required adjustments .Then, the removal of the old towel bars which were rusted in place after 50 years.he was required to actually cut and pry the old mounting brackets. This took a lot of time and patience. There were 4 towel bars, a soap dish and tooth brush holder. All of that and none of my tiles were damaged. He then was able to install the new hardware. The new hardware was also a challenge because it had to fit perfectly over the old site and all of the bars had to be cut to fit. The finishing touch was the tile that he installed above the sink to cover the areas where the soap dish and toothbrush holder were originally. He did a great job , it is clear that he is a perfectionist. My bathroom looks great!
