I have utilized the services of both Dr. Agee and Dr. Laungani. When I had a sudden illness they were quick to get me into the office the day I called... while my routine doctor was not in the office - the other doctor was able to see me. It's also wonderful that they value your time as well as their own. I've seldom waited longer than 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment to get in and sometimes if I arrive early they will take me early. I've found both the doctors and their staff to be friendly and kind... and patient when the need arises. Their close association with the Toledo Clinic is a bonus I feel also - since I can quickly get things done there that cannot be done in the doctors offices - and it's nice to have my files all shared and available to the doctors treating me. The doctors are always patient and ready to address any questions with answers - or will seek answers if that is necessary.

My first visit with him over a year ago was a wellness check. He prescribed medication for acid reflux because he said my throat was red. No testing was done. I did not have reflux. I had allergies and did not take the medication. It subsided in a few days. Three months ago I pulled something in my back while picking up my 4 year old and turning at the same time. The doctor gave me muscle relaxers that I couldn't take more than a couple days because they made me sleepy and I have 3 children to take care of. Nothing was given for the pain so I sought help from a chiropractor and massage therapist. The pain subsided and the issue seemed okay until I felt it coming on again May 6th. I went to the doctor because the pain was so intense and I couldn't walk much, sit, or get up without an agonizing clenching pain in my back. The doctor saw me on a Saturday which was so convenient and I appreciated. I told him where my pain was on my left, the bottom of my spine, down my leg and into my foot. I couldn't bend, barely sit or get up without a great deal of pain. He ordered an x-ray which I got right away when I left his office. He gave me Vicodin and muscle relaxers. He gave me a referral for physical therapy. He said I would get the results Monday of the x-ray. He told me to cancel my chiropractor appointment until they know what the issue is. When getting the x-ray the technician asked what they were looking for. I said and quot;a badly pulled muscle but you may see some kidney stones because I always have those hanging out in my kidneys.and quot; I called Monday and they said that the doctor was off. I asked about the x-ray and if I could come in to get a shot for the pain since the Vicodin and muscle relaxers didn't do anything for the intense pain but made me so dizzy I stopped taking it. I didn't leave my bedroom the weekend of Mother's day. The doctor taking El Sayyad's place for the day that Monday had a nurse call a couple hours later and say that they could call in a muscle relaxer. I said I already had that one and it made me feel worse. I asked what the x-ray showed. She said they didn't look but would call later and tell me. Four hours later they called and said I have kidney stones. I said and quot;I know that, but they aren't passing. They don't hurt unless they are passing. This is something wrong in my back and spine.and quot; She said and quot;the doctor said he isn't comfortable giving you anything else, you'll have to wait for your own doctor to come back tomorrow.and quot; Again, no pain relief for another day. The next day El Sayyad's office called saying they would give me Flomax for passing my stones. I said and quot;they aren't passing and I am allergic to Flomax. I've passed over 30 stones and this is not the pain. I haven't been able to work or take care of my kids. I had to call a friend to help when my husband is at work. When I'm passing stones I can still do all this.and quot; She said she would tell the doctor all this and call back. Three hours later she called back and said if I want to be rechecked I can make another appointment and come back in. This was again at the end of the day and I would've had to wait again. I told her I set up the physical therapy he gave a referral for and would seek help there for now. After 3 weeks of physical therapy for my herniated disc and sciatica I will finally be getting back to work and my life with family. People know when something is very wrong. If their doctor is not going to help when it's so badly needed then that's not the right doctor for me.

He was the only doctor to ever order X-rays and an MRI!! I had been dealing with this pain for years!
we found an injury to neck. not much to do medically but he referred me to other professionals to help with the pain.
I would recommend him to anyone.

I just started to go to my physician for one year.  She is very good.  She is new at the practice.  I think she practices there for couple of years.  She is very attentive.  I honestly have no complaints about them.  I have only been there for a year.  A year is a good amount of time but I was also at the previous doctor for five years and something happened, so I switched.  She asks in depth questions of what is going on and always wants to see and find out what the solution could be.  She is a really good doctor, very very good doctor.  I will see her in the next 10 years getting a bigger office because she probably will be really busy.  There are 2 to 3 staff members actually work for her, they are wonderful.  The biggest problem I have had was pneumonia and she treated with antibiotics.  They have a very complicated process of billing, it takes around 2 weeks by the time I make my copay.  Billing was not that good a deal.

I am hoping our last appointment (9/02/2011) is an indication that this practice is turning a new page on patient care. Over the years I have struggled with the practice regarding doctor turnover, availability, communication and billing. My family and I have been juggled throughout the practice with 3 or 4 different doctors over the years. We could never get an appointment in a timely manner (constantly had to go to the Urgent Care for things that couldn't wait 3-5 days), we always had to contact the office for test results (that they could never find), were constantly given incorrect prescriptions for my daughters monthly ADHD medication and had terrible problems with their billing department. The only reason that we had not left the practice was because no other facilities in a reasonable geographic radius were taking new patients with our insurance. Since my family has been transferred to a new doctor in practice (Dr. El Sayd), it seems that changes are being made in regards to service. If, at future appointments, the service continues to be improved I will update my ratings.

Note: Even with all of the problems it the past I should note that the receptionist up front has always been amazing. She went out of her way each and every time to try and help me with prescription errors and billing issues.

I recommend her to any one looking for a new family doctor. I have been seeing her for almost 3 years and have been pleased with her policies - i.e. few enough patients that you don't have to wait or rush.

This doctor has successfully treated me, my wife, my daughter, and my grandson.
I can't say enough about his approach to medicine.
He truly does take a preventative approach and will work with patients who have no insurance.
    His fees are very reasonable.

Dr. Kanama is very professional, friendly, and caring. She listened to all my concerns and didn't interrupt me or rush me to finish talking. She ordered tests where needed and I was impressed with the overall experience. She had a physician's assistant with her and has a LPN to answer the phone when you call. While talking about some of my concerns, she had no problem with referring me to specialists if something requires it. The office is clean, very organized and easy to get to. Parking is right by the building so there's not a long walk to get to it and the office is on the first floor. Very convenient if you're sick!
