She came out and quoted the fence and we were a little unsure if it was worth having installed and she explained why it was.  But not obnociously. We then gave them a deposit and the installer came three days later installed the fence and gave some basic instructions then the trainer came and trained the dog and his parents what to do. Left us a calendar of jobs to follow and then came back on the last day of the calendar to see if he was ready to graduate.  He was but if he wasn't she would have come back again to train once more and start the process again.

Carla is the best at POSITIVE dog training.
I have attended her Puppy Manners class and Life Skills class and plan on attending more.
She has enough help for her classes and always offers individual attention. She is engaging and knowledgable and makes classes fun for you and your dog.

I met Carla, the owner, at a class she taught at the Warren County Humane Society.  I found her website very thorough and set up by email and then by phone a 1-on-1 session.  She evaluated my dog at her facility, quickly identified problem behaviors, had me work with her and my dog on "fixes" and gave me written handouts personalized for my practice at home.

Our 6 year old mixed breed - our 4th dog over the years - was aggressive toward other dogs, barked a lot at anything outside, and overall was a behavior challenge.  We did a group class with her through another trainer when she was younger but it was not very effective.  We found AAA K9 through Angie's list and selected Adam based on reviews.  We were not disappointed.  We used 5 of the 6 pre-paid lessons because our dog was making such good progress and Adam let us keep one lesson in reserve for a future refresher when we want it.  It was money and time well spent.

The dogs are amazing. You still need to work with them but there is no way I would have invested the effort myself to get them where they are today. Prior to training my dogs jumped on people to greet, pulled at leash when walking, etc. the biggest problem was crating. I have a dog with separation anxietY who freeks at being put in crate. After training, I put two dogs in place instead. I have a small grouP do yoga in my home. Everyone comes in and the dogs behave. I put them on their 'Place' mats during yoga and they remain there for 1 1/2 hours. Once I saw free they appropriately greet everyone. People are amazed at the before and after. Friend also used Virginia and is equally pleased. Note that the owners still need to work with dogs to keep training up. I've done group gaining at pet stores, private training in home and Virginia. From now on, I will, only do Virginia with every new dog I own.

After going through an evaluation to see if Stella would benefit from Gabby's training, we went to K9 to drop Stella off. During that drop-off we went over all of our hopes for her, the issues she was currently having and issues we personally wanted to avoid in the future. Stella was able to play freely with Gabby's dogs while we were talking and get to know her temporary home for an hour or two before we left her. Over the next week Gabby sent several videos of Stella to show us that she was not only happy and well, but what she was learning. The kids lived for those videos as they missed her very much.

When we returned to pick Stella up, Gabby had us wait a distance away while she showed us what Stella could do and before she let Stella greet us. I knew how hard it was for Stella to wait, but she did work and she worked well. She also had to sit and wait to be released before she showered us with kisses. We spent another hour with Gabby showing us all that Stella learned and trained us how to keep building her newly established obedience into habitually behavior. She showed each of our 4 children (5-12 yo) how to walk her properly and to correct her if need be. It was wonderful to watch our 5 yo be able to handle a dog that only a week before he was a bit afraid of.

I couldn't be more thrilled with how Stella came back to us. Understanding that she is a mastiff (slower obedience timing than Gabby's dobs) and that she is a puppy, I was amazed at how she well she did. We are doing our homework to the best of our ability and have 2 more and quot;lessonsand quot; to attend that come with the package.

I would highly recommend K9 to anyone with any need for dog training. ESPECIALLY, if you are ready to give up on the dog. Gabby trains police dogs, narcotic dogs, etc. She can turn around a little monster and make it a great family dog. She is such a pleasure to work with and I hope many other dog owners will enjoy the benefits of having their dog trained by Gabby and K9 Academy.

We have an 85 lb 1 year old male doberman, Caliber, who is so terrified of thunder, fireworks, and loud noises that it would cause him to run out of our yard and just keep running. He also felt as if the entire world was his playground and enjoyed visiting all of the dogs and kids in the neighborhood. He is our 4th doberman and we've never had to use any type of fencing for our other 3 dobes, so we were quite shocked that we even needed to call Lance. We were very skeptical if an electric fence would even work for him, as his "will" seemed extremely strong, but it was a much cheaper alternative to putting in a true fence that we feared he would just jump over. When we saw all of the positive comments about Lance, we hoped that he would service this area (Mason, OH). We were so excited when I called and they said that they do. We received 3 estimates and Lance was the least expensive and the best to deal with. His response time was amazing and we had an appointment set for installation within one week. The man who came to install the fence was very professional and helpful. He listened to our concerns and provided his feedback and expertise. We couldn't wait for Lance to come a few days later and start the training! When we first met Lance, his love for dogs was so evident that it was heart warming. Caliber immediately fell in love with him! Lance spent so much time with us that first day and Caliber responded amazingly to the fence. We were in complete shock! It was one of the best experiences we've ever had with any sort of training for all of our dogs! We only needed one additional training session because it went so well. Lance never made us feel rushed and listened to every concern and need we had. The electric fence was the best thing we have ever done for Caliber. He only left the yard one time the 2nd day after we had the fence and he has never left it again. Even this morning there were 3 loud noises in our neighborhood and he did not leave the yard. Instead he ran to the door and waited for us to let him in. If we ever move to a new home, we will be calling Lance to install an electric fence. Lance and his team definitely stand out as being in the top three best contractors/businesses we have ever dealt with. If you need an electric fence installed, Lance's Hidden Fencing is hands down the best person for the job!!

We are about 1/2 way through and Adam is great. He is very patient as both my husband and I are both working with the dogs. He is available to help with issues that happen outside your training time and willing to help with issues and training beyond the typical commands. I highly recommend Adam.

I love my invisible fence. I have a large dog, so I was worried he would just run through the warning and shock. I was amazed. Max now has the run of the yard but safely stays inside the fences perimeter. Pet Stop responded quickly to requests and questions too.
