    They are the most caring, compassionate and knowledgeable vet in the area. It takes 10-15 minutes to get back to her. I don't think they can improve anything. They do super, super work. The people are very friendly and very compassionate. The vet is a brilliant diagnostician. He had a great deal of experience and he is willing to listen to the human parents of the animals.

    Our new puppy (we had only had him one week) wouldn't eat and wanted to sleep all the time.  We had taken him to another vet and were told that he was fine and that we should make him eat.  Unfortunately, a few days later his systems became considerable worse.  We contacted Animal Hospital of Shawnee Hills and scheduled an appt.  They were able to get us in the same day.  Before we could even get in to see the vet, our puppy began to have seizures.  I immediately called them again to ask if they could get him in right away.  They said the would see him as soon as we could get there.  As soon as we arrived, we were kindly greeted and almost immediately put into a room and saw the vet within minutes.  They gave me an estimate of all charges before they continued their service (which was very helpful).  After doing bloodwork, it was discovered that our puppy was in kidney failure and there was very little they could do.  However, the professionalism with which they handled the situation and the care that was shown for our family (my husband, myself, and our five children were all there) was a true blessing.  They gave us time to grieve in a side room before asking what we would like to do.  I am truly grateful that we found this vet and will be returning in the future with other animals that we have.

    We have used Indian Creek for years now and love them. They make our dogs feel at ease and we always have any of our questions answered. They have always been very comforting to us with our dog trauma ( having to put down three dogs, two of them within 2 weeks of each other) and having to send a dog to OSU for emergency surgery. Our dogs love them and feel quite at home with them, no anxiety. I can't say enough good things about them. Dr. Ingrid and Dr. Jonathan have a great practice.

    We spent several days researching veterinary clinics to take our kitten to. We are first-time owners and wanted to make sure that she was getting the proper care. We were quoted a very good price and decided to go with Dr. Allen. Though the building does not look state-of-the-art, they seemed friendly. We had to wait to be addressed when we walked in, but after that it was all fine. They took good care of our kitten. We weren't given aftercare instructions until we asked, but she didn't have any problems healing.

    The waiting room was large with plenty of space to separate ourselves from other pets. We were taken to an exam room and the dog was taken to the back for x-rays. I found out later that these would be done under sedation. This was not a huge problem, but something I would have preferred to have been told up-front.

    There was a fairly long wait at this point. (I don't think this was entirely unreasonable - we were clearly a non-emergency case) As I would be paying with cash, I asked the receptionist if she could tell me what the bill would be so I could be sure I had enough. While she was very nice about telling me what my bill was at that point, she did not make it clear that this was not the same as the final total. Since we were there for a very deterministic set of testing (sedation, x-rays, sedation reversal, consult with doctor) it would have been nice to be told the total figure up front. I can see this being more of a problem for people with more expensive procedures or more limited funds.

    When I did speak with the doctor, he seemed very knowledgeable and willing to take plenty of time to explain the diagnosis. However, he focused solely on the technical aspects of the x-rays, without considering the dog herself at all (i.e. what here activity level was, whether she was limping, or showing signs of pain or weakness). Instead of discussing how the previous surgery was healing, he suggested significant additional treatment. I was not given any information on how these additional surgeries would affect her quality of life, nor was I informed of any less costly alternatives - he focused solely on the mechanical, technical issues, which I found made it very difficult to come to a decision.

    Overall, everyone I encountered was very polite, professional, and seemed patient and knowledgeable . However, the quality and breadth of the information they provided was less than I was expecting. In a true emergency I would not have a problem going here again, but I would seek other sources for elective specialist care.

    We were switching from a different practice, so the spay was the first contact we had with Pets On the Go. When we arrived for our appointment we were not invited to speak with the vet about the procedure, simply given a form to fill out and told to hand our cat over to the receptionist and return the next day to pick her up. This should have been my first warning.

    When we did arrive for the pick up, we were not offered pain medication for the cat, even after it was requested.

    Upon reviewing the records, we found that our cat had been given an additional rabies vaccination without us being asked. (she had already been vaccinated by the previous vet). There was some confusion on the forms, as I did not remember the specific date, and hoped I would be able to look it up at home, particularly as it didn't seem relevant to a spay. I am mostly disappointed in the lack of communication on this point. How hard would it have been to call?

    Finally, we had an incident where the post-operative antibiotic drops spilled, and we needed to replace them. The office refused to phone the prescription in to a local pharmacy so I could pick it up without missing additional work, insisting we had to get it from them directly during their limited business hours. The medicine was amoxicillin, an antibotic commonly used in people, not anything esoteric or animal-specific.

    Overall, I am very disappointed in how unaccommodating and uncommunicative this practice was. Additionally, I feel that my pet suffered unnecessarily due to their to their administration of unnecessary vaccines coincident with major surgery and their unwillingness to provide pain medication. If you are looking for bare-bones veterinary care on a budget, there are plenty of offices locally with lower costs and a better bedside manner. If you are looking for something above that, this is not it.

    Dr. Lynn is fantastic! He has answered our calls late at night with questions on why our dog was itching to always having the time to respond to any concerns we may have as well as offering advice on current medical trends for our animals! Love Dr. Lynn, he is an exception to this field and our animals are very blessed to have him as their care physician.

    They do a very good job however make sure you have lots of money. They will sell you every optional service that exists. They make every service sound critical. It's sort of expensive when you are told you need to spend $700 a year to keep a average cat healthy.
