    Our house is 108 years old and most of the foundation was in terrible shape with bulging, shifting, cracking big enough for possums to get through, and leaking in the front and on both sides. We were on the way to working with another company to do the work when their estimated costs suddenly went sky high and there was no evidence of a contract to show specifically what work they were going to provide. I called Basement Doctor and talked to project manager Rob Forrest, had an evaluation by Al Galko, structural engineer, and met foreman Justin Parks. By the time I had an estimate of cost (expensive, but reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done) and time (also reasonable at 3 to 4 weeks), and a contract to sign that clearly spelled out the work, I was confident in going ahead with Basement Doctor as provider. The main crew of Justin, Matt, and Greg was amazing--considerate, hardworking, professional, punctual, and neat (cleanup every day). Other crews, also efficient and reliable, came to do specific work such as excavating or electric work. The crew found other problems along the way, and there were 2 change orders clearly specifying the work and cost. When a problem cropped up, Justin always let me know right away with one or more solutions already in mind. Disruption to our daily living was minimal. The crew went above and beyond the letter of the contract, for example, building new steps to the front porch after having to tear off the old ones and other such touches that continue to make our lives easier. The workmanship was excellent, and we are very happy with the end result. Our basement is solid, dry, and safe. I believe it can stand proud for the next 108 years. Many thanks to Basement Doctor, most especially to Justin Parks--you are the best.

    Tim at H&S remodeling is amazing. He went above and beyond our expectations, both in his skill with our plaster wall and ceiling repair, and his knowledge of the best way to fix all of our home's issues.     We our a large mobile home community in Marysville Ohio and Larry Lee Electric has been our go to for HVAC, gas leak detection and general electrical issues. Most recently we were in a bind and needed electric completed on a new home quickly so the unit could pass inspection and get rented. The company was out the very next day despite their busy and booked schedule. Service is always friendly fast and reasonably priced. You won't find a better company around to work with.

    I called John and he was able to get someone out to place new breaker box and complete all outside upgrades within a matter of days. He was by far the cheapest price after multiple estimates. Quality was fantastic! His tech, Ben, even helped with moving a light switch and removing an outlet that had a short while he was at my home. I just purchased this home last week, and am sure I will be calling on John and his team again in the future!

    Overall we are satisfied with the final results. I did although expect a little better installation for the money. The materials used were the best, so I expected the cost to be higher and even went with a higher quote expecting a better installation job. All requests for corrections were made, but the issues brought up and excepted were not addressed. The lights used for the deck were not the quality of Azek Decking purchased, but solar powered were quoted and direct wired was installed at no additional cost.

    It went well. We are very happy with the finished product. We had another company out that flat out said, "couldn't be done because of set backs etc but they didn't even call the city to find out WHAT those set backs were. AHC was very upfront with the wait time. It is difficult to project an outdoor project like the enclosure because of mitigating factors such as weather, issues with other projects before us etc.  We were in Ohio when the project was being done and I think that the communication could have been a little better on when they were starting and the complexity of the project. This project was very difficult because of the angles and cuts.....Most companies would in no way been able to do any kind of job like this. 
    We added the inside bar after the original project of the enclosure. AHC went out of their way to provide what we wanted. Everyone was top notch in their work. From their electrician to the granite fabricator, installers, enclosure construction team...just awesome. 
    I would not hesitate to use AHC again for any project in our home. I would be happy to provide photos to anyone wishing to see them.

    CARE Heating & Cooling Inc

    Started out great. Called on a Sunday and expected to get voicemail. Got an answering service (real person). Very good. Left a message with the service and got a call back from Care about an hour later (on Sunday). Impressive. Scheduled a service call for the next day. Excellent responsiveness. Tech came on time. My wife was there and put me on the phone with the tech. Tech said the system came up and was running just fine. I explained the history. He said he would do a thorough inspection of the furnace. He later called and said the heat exchanger was bad (cracks), which means the furnace needed to be replaced. Said the heater would run but we needed to replace it ASAP so we didn't run the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Only charged me $69 for the visit. I was quite impressed.

    I got home that night and the furnace was dead. No lights. No startup attempt. Dead. For 18 years, the system always at least attempted to start up. Something had changed. I assumed the tech either disabled it intentionally for safety reasons, or shorted something out on the control board on accident.

    The Care sales person came out the Thursday after the initial tech visit. She looked at the system and had three new options for us the next day, ranging in price from about $8-$10.5k.

    I asked to talk to the tech that worked on our unit. I have since asked twice more. I have yet to get a call from him. The temps were close to 0 with the wind chill yesterday and we have no furnace. I'm not happy about this.

    Second issue - I called another company to get a second opinion. The tech from the other company arrived and I told him Care said the heat exchanger was bad. He said "it's under warranty." I said it can't be. The furnace is 18 years old. He said any furnace worth having has at least a 20 year warranty on the heat exchanger. I am surprised Care never asked about that. I called Care in the first place because of the way they position themselves via their advertising -- "our techs are paid to fix furnaces, not sell new ones." The other company contacted the manufacturer of my furnace and ordered the heat exchanger. They will be replacing it at a cost of less than 10% of what a new furnace would have cost.

    They must be rather busy so I needed to leave a message on their phone re. the work I wanted done. They called me back in a few days though.

    I was not there when the work was done, my wife was. Two men arrived and did the work, which involved cutting holes into the carpet, installing outlet covers, and installing an electrical device/box downstairs. They did a very careful job cutting into the carpet and it looks good. My wife was pleased with their professionalism. The only issue was she wished they would've kept their shoes it was, they needed to make a few trips in and out of the house, and kept them on. So, we'll have a bit of carpet cleaning to do. But, when dealing w/electrical work, you don't want to mess around. I'd hire them again!

    The electricians showed up on time considering the weather was not the best. They came in sized up the job, told me exactly what they were going to do and did it. They ran into a few little issues, but they got the work done and before I knew it they were done. The ceiling fans/lights were up in two bedrooms as well as a small closet light. It was exactly what I was wanting done. They had everything cleaned up and when they left you couldn't even tell they had been there other than the good work they left behind. These two men were so nice and polite and were self explanatory as to what type of work they were going to be doing. That was very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this company again for any kind of electrical work. In fact I know I will use them again for other electrical work. Their final bill was a nice surprise as it was what they had quoted me and no more..
