    Pat Scales Remodeling
They were on time and at and under the estimated budget Our house is about 200 years old and nothing is straight.. Pat Scales Remodeling replaced a kitchen floor that no other company would touch. And they did it beautifully. Home Depot told us that there was nothing that could be done to correct the floor and Lowes Home Store told us just to cover it with carpet. But Pat Scales Remodeling replaced the floor and installed laminate flooring. It is beautiful!
When they installed the deck, they had to remove the concrete sidewalk, cut through 50 year old tree roots and complied with very strict Union County building regulations.
We are very happy with the quality of work from Pat Scales Remodeling and will definitely contact them for future projects

Marble & Granite Works was our first stop  when we began looking for counter tops. We were unsure of the material we wanted, and were hoping to be provided with some guidance as to which was right for us, and the approximate costs of each. The salesperson seemed unwilling to give us even a ballpark figure. Our project required no cut outs, special finishes, or edges, but whenever we asked about cost we were told "it depends."
We gave our dimensions and asked for quotes on two materials. We visited the showroom on a Saturday, and were told we'd received a quote in two to three days. Being our first stop, we assumed this was normal turnaround for a granite and marble company. Rather than two to three days, we did not receive our quote until 9 days after we visited the showroom.
In the meantime, we visited three other marble and granite suppliers. When we pointed to a particular material, all supplied us with quotes on the spot. We also quickly learned that Marble & Granite Works was a full $20 more per square foot than the next closest quote for an identical material and installation.

    Quarry Granite
I had checked into several fabricators and decided upon Quarry Granite due to their competitive pricing and the quality suppliers they use.  We did hit a snag.  The hole for the sink was cut in the wrong place and this was not discovered until they were installing the countertops.  So I was without a full kitchen for a couple of days, and being that it was right before Christmas was a bit of a challenge.  BUT, Mark McGuire, who is the owner, stands behind his work and more than made up for the inconvenience.  I had my countertops installed before Christmas (plus some extras were included for my trouble).  I know they had to move mountains to get it done as this was an extremely busy time of year for them.  My countertops are beautiful, and I am very pleased with their willingness to 'take care of the customer' and go the extra mile.  Things don't always go perfectly, that is just a fact of life, but it is good to know that a company stands behind their work and understands the importance of great customer service.  I would recommend Quarry Granite to anyone, and will use them again.

Soapstone is not very common, and few companies work with it. When we initially contacted Perotta, none of the local stone suppliers they recommended had any slabs in stock. However, they worked with us very hard to find a source with slabs that we liked, and gave us a very reasonable price of around $75/sq. ft.

The installers were very polite and came on time the day they were scheduled. They asked permission before driving through my yard, and took care not to leave ruts. They said they had not done many soapstone installations, but the install was quick and very high quality. They even aligned the veins in the stone along the seams between pieces.

There were some unexpected marks on the stone, because it is softer than granite, but they quickly polished those away and ended up with a very quality finish. The installers were easy to talk to and very willing to work with our specifications on sink hole placement and other minor details.

There was one fault in the installation that was not noticed until after the installers had left. When sliding the counter into place, they had caused a crack in the plastic on the other side of the wall. When I called to report this, it took them a while to call me back, but once I spoke with the owner he was very willing to make right and subtracted the cost of repairs from my bill.

They left the kitchen clean when they finished, although they did leave a bit of a mess on my back porch from dust from some additional cutting they had to do on the stone. They also rearranged some items on our back porch which had been organized, which caused a bit of annoyance.

Overall, the install look gorgeous and our one real complaint they took care of without a fuss. Would use again.

Overall, the quality of work was fantastic. Tim's crew is great and works hard. The time it took for the job to be completed was much longer than anticipated, but the outcome was fantastic. Charles did most of the work himself, and he is really great to work with, and did a beautiful and thorough job. Tim is easy to work with, and flexible to adapt to changes.

Tim did an outstanding job. We had 3 quotes and all were very similar. I feel Tim put in some extras that we wouldn't have seen from the other 2 contractors. We had a few changes and Tim and his right-hand person Charles made the changes without grumbling. I went over the original estimate, but that was my fault. Tim made a couple of changes to our original layout that really gave us some extra storage.

Phil was very enthusiastic about his company and their team's abilities. He took the time to show us around their warehouse and introduce us to the people who would be performing the work. The cost was the lowest that I could find and yet the work quality was great. In addition, the length of time between placing the order and the actual installation was short - much shorter than other quotes that we received. The team really loves their work and does a great job. We did have a minor problem that we discovered after they left which required a return visit. They came out at our convenience and resolved the issue quickly and professionally.
