I met with Dr. McShane on 7/24. I was sent into Dr. McShane's office within 10 minutes of appointment time. I was taken to the x-ray dept. and x-rays were taken. Dr. McShane looked at these x-rays in his office and the ones I had brought with me from Memorial Hospital's ER Dept.
After discussion with him we decided to have the surgery to replace the worn-out artificial hip joint (implanted in 2005). His scheduler sat down with us and scheduled the surgery for August 22. She also scheduled an appointment for an assessment with their physical therapy department for the next day.
She then gave me a 3 ring binder with information about what was required before surgery, including pre-admission testing with my family doctor and a class to be held the following week (in the same building where my Doctor's office was located) where they showed us what the prosthesis looked like, approximately how long our hospital stay would be, restrictions for after the surgery whether we had chosen a rehab facility/nursing home or going our homes for recovery.
When I was released from the rehab facility/nursing home I was given papers faxed by Dr. McShane's office with a prescription for physical therapy at my local YMCA, which is run by Memorial Hospital.
I would recommend Dr. McShane and his staff to anyone. They are all punctual, professionally friendly, helpful, and most of all caring.

    rWellness - Debra Wright, LMT
Debra practices several types of massages and then seems to adjust each massage to the individual needs.  She said she tended to be "heavy handed" but I didn't find that at all.  For me it was a very gentle, relaxing massage.  The décor and atmosphere at her office was calm, inviting, relaxing.  Not to warm, not to cold.  Wonderful relaxing music.  After the massage, I felt relaxed and renewed.  I would recommend giving Debra Wright a try.

Enchanted Care Learning Center is excellent. I don't have any complaints about them and I think they're great. They're very clean and it's very organized and structured. The teachers are very personable and they send a lot of emails out and flyers home with the kids. They have a lot of activities for the kids. They have a high turnover for their teachers but it's because they get jobs in our school system and it's like a positive thing that they have teachers that are good enough to be able to go. It doesn't happen that often and usually they get hired at the first of year or right at half point or their at the end, so it's not like they get a new teacher every month. It's something that happens maybe three times a year. They're a little bit more expensive, but they provide a lot more than the other day-cares in the area.

    Little Hands Daycare
I used Little Hands Daycare for 2 years and ndash; my son started at 10 months old and my daughter when she was 3 months old. (We only left because we have moved and ndash; although if I could have moved Little Hands with us, I would have). After, leaving a difficult situation with another sitter, Little Hands was a breath of fresh air. I always felt as though my children were in the best care when they were there. Little Hands is a very nurturing environment, my children received appropriate amounts of attention, were well fed and Cindy always followed any instructions I provided her with. Cindy takes the children outside whenever the weather is appropriate (they are outside a lot) and has plenty of fun things to do in the house when the weather did not cooperate. My children were constantly involved in cooking, painting, coloring, play dough, reading circle, etc. if not outside. She worked on my children's ABCs, counting, reading, potty training, etc. and I know she truly loved my children like they were her own. Even though I have trouble getting my son down for a nap, he always took a nap at her house. Cindy's entire family was involved in caring for the children, down to the point that my son calls Cindy's mom Nana, and treats Cindy's daughter like a sister. If I needed someone to watch my children after hours, Cindy was always willing to cooperate. If either child showed any signs of something wrong, she did not hesitate to call me and ask my opinion and always let me know if something had happened that day and how either my child or the other child was disciplined. I NEVER found my children unattended to, even when I showed up early or when she was not expecting me. I could not have asked for better childcare and would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, disciplined childcare provider. Her home was always spotless and my children always happy.

    Little Hands Daycare
We have been taking our son to Little Hands Daycare since he was 3 months old and we have experienced exemplary care. He eats well balanced meals (sometimes better than what he gets at home), is always clean when we pick him up, in fact we are sent home with clean clothes, and is truly happy while he is there. I know this from the excitement he exudes when we pull up to the house and his resistance to leave some evenings. She is supportive of any initiatives we embark on with our son, from transitioning from the bottle to potty training. I've stopped in at various times during the day and have never had any reason for concern, the environment is clean and safe. We feel very fortunate to have found Little Hands Daycare for our son and would highly recommend to anyone looking for childcare. She has a true passion for children.

    Little Hands Daycare
She is negligent. I do not think she should be doing what she was doing. We used her for one day each week for three weeks. A lot of weird things were happening with my son cause me to think about this. I came home one day and walked in and my son was sitting in a bumbo seat which you are not suppose to leave children unattended in as they can fall our very easily. and it was on top of the table and she was across the room. I came home at lunch time to bring in breast milk for my son. There were no adults around him Both her and her husband were across the room at the sink looking at coupons. I saw my son reaching for his bottle. I don't want to say he was going to fall out of the seat. Its just the fact that no adult was around him to watch him. Those bumbo seats have warnings on them that say Do not leave children unattended on elevated surfaces. She knew about the warning as I asked her about it and she told me she did know. When my husband talked to her she lied to him and said she was right next to him and attending to him The other problem was I had given her specific instructions on how to use his breast milk to feed him it was to stay refrigerated and only have no more than 2 ounces out at a time. There was a full bottle sitting out and when I smelled it it smelled sour there was another sitting out empty and one in the sink that was dirty. And when she brought this up to my husband she told him she had followed my instructions as I had given her.

    Snyder Chiropractic Care
I had never had back problems other than an occasional achy back. One morning I woke up and could hardly move. I thought I'd go to work, but after I got in my car, I couldn't close the door on my own. I called another chiropractor but they couldn't see me right away. Dr. Snyder's office said if I could come over in an hour, they'd see me. Dr. Snyder examined me and took x-rays. Then, he did an adjustment and said he needed to see me again in a day or two. I felt better later that day and went for a second adjustment. He wanted me to come back again, but I felt better and felt like he would have me continue to come as long as I would continue to pay. I did not go back and I have not had a reoccurrence.

    Deborah Coates DO
dr. did not even introduce herself when she entered the room. pain in hand- she grabbed hand and squezed hard before asking where pain was-made pain even worse. stated referral was for reflex sympathetic dystrophy, her "specialty" , that there was an 80% chance that that was causing pain and wanted to schedule an invasive procedure ASAP . all this after a 4-5 minute "evaluation". we were planning a trip and she said it could wait until we returned, but offered no medication for pain management in the meantime. only after i suggested a medication did she agree, and even then it was not a pain medication per se. she offered little in the way of explanation, and essentially no treatment for the pain other than an invasive procedure (that of course she would perform). at end of visit, told her we would think about it, but with no intention of proceeding with her. subsequent evaluation by 2 separate physicians have not agreed with her diagnosis. i would never return, nor would i refer anyone to this doctor. incidentally, i am a retired physician with almost 40 years of practice-never have i seen anything as unprofessional as this encounter.

Overall, they do a really good job. Their pricing seems very competitive with everyone else. The treatments they have done with us have seemed to be quite effective, too.
